Anidala Week 2025

Summary:

My Anidala Week 2025 prompts!

Notes:

They will all be in one big chapter because I’m in the awkward situation of each oneshot alone being a little short to pass for a full chapter, but altogether they’re so long. (Because they started out as Tumblr posts lol) I’m admittedly trying to have longer chapters for my next week-long prompt and not be so rushed. Also, this is not in the collection because I’m moving this from my Oneshots fic that was in the collection, but it’s closed now.

Work Text:

Day One: Everything Went Perfectly AU

Anakin, arriving home from the Jedi Temple, sensed two more Force presences than there had been a few days before. He should have been used to it by now, having been there for their birth and caring for them over the past few days, but he still couldn’t believe it: he had children. Entering the room, he immediately heard his wife shush him.
“I’m happy to see you too but they’re sleeping…” Anakin simply wrapped his Force presence around that of his twins, suggesting lightly that they stay asleep. Padme just smiled at him. “You’d think knowing you for this long would have prepared me for things like this, but it never fails to amaze me…” Anakin grinned at her. “Would you still love me if I couldn’t do anything like this?” Padme walked over and put her arms around him, kissing his cheek. “What do you think?” Anakin laughed and sat down with her, watching his children sleep and enjoying the company of his family, and most of all enjoying the life he’d ended up with. He wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Day Two: Modern AU

“Are you the little boy I met ten years ago?”
Anakin nodded.
“My, you’ve grown…”
Anakin couldn’t help blushing.
“So have you… grown more beautiful, that is…”
He couldn’t help gazing at Padme, the woman who stood in front of him now. She’d arrived in his area as the daughter of a newly-elected politician, who’d wanted to get an idea of laws that needed fixing. He’d been living in poverty with his single mother, at nine years old, when they’d met.
Mrs. Amidala had immediately given funding to all of the families in the area. Anakin had also been introduced to Mrs. Amidala’s daughter Padme, 10 years old at the time. He’d be the first to admit he’d had a little crush on her, but nothing had come of it. Soon, Anakin had moved away, but now that he was heading to college, he was meeting her again for the first time.
She smiled at him.
“Thank you…”
They stood together in silence for a few moments, before Padme turned to walk away.
“Well, I’ll see you around. Let me know if you need anything…”

A/N: I changed the age gap because in no world would a 19 year old and 24 year old spend all of college together. I kept the cheesy quote because that’s just Anidala, though.

Day Three: Free Day
A/N: Okay, yes, the official prompt was Everything Goes Sideways AU, which means that Padme survives but Anakin doesn’t. (If anyone’s ever read the webcomic Darths And Droids, that’s all I could think of when I heard that.) I couldn’t bear to kill Ani, though, so here we go.

Anakin woke up and looked at the clock.
Hmm. Why hadn’t someone woken him up? He didn’t think it was a special occasion…
Suddenly he heard a voice giggling.
“I sense he’s awake…”
It was Ahsoka’s voice…
Suddenly the door burst open. In came Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Rex, Cody, and Padme, who was carrying a plate of food.
Padme smiled.
“We thought we’d bring you breakfast in bed. Today’s your day off. You’ve done so much for us, you deserve it.”
Anakin just smiled at them.
“Thank you so much…”

After having breakfast and getting cleaned up, Anakin heard a knock on his door. He opened it to Padme again.
She smiled gently.
“Hey… just so you know, I took the day off too…” Wrapping her arms around him, she whispered, “And I won’t regret it…”

Day Four: Summer Camp AU
A/N: Sorry if this isn’t accurate. I’ve never been to a summer camp. As of Nov 18, 2025: I have changed Obi-Wan’s name to Ben, and added Qui-Gon, Mace Windu, Luminara, Aayla, Satine, Rex, Ahsoka, Barriss, Ventress, and Cody.

Anakin sighed as he stepped into his cabin to get settled in. He wasn’t homesick, exactly, but he wished he knew at least one person here. Eventually, someone knocked on the door. It opened, and a head with reddish-brown hair peeked in. “Hey, we’re doing the campfire soon, just so you know. My name’s Ben, by the way.” Anakin couldn’t help noticing Ben had the same hairstyle as him—cut short, but with a long thin braid on the side. It made him feel oddly at home.

Having followed Ben to the campfire, the only seat Anakin could find was between his new friend, who seemed to be the popular one, and a very pretty girl with brown hair. The girl smiled at him but said nothing, as the counselors had just began the introductions. The counselors consisted of Mace—tall with a shaved head—Dooku—distinguished-looking with curly black hair—Luminara—short and slender with large blue eyes and a black silky veil—and Jinn—shoulder-length brown hair and a small beard. Jinn had apparently babysat Ben when they’d both been younger, and they were now good friends. Then it was time for the campers to introduce themselves. Ben started everyone off, and it continued to his left, essentially making Anakin the last to introduce himself. Great. Next to Ben was the pretty blonde Satine, who’d gone to the same elementary school as Ben and seemed to have a thing for him. After her was Ahsoka, a girl with vitiligo and blue-and-white dyed hair. Next to Ahsoka was Barriss, Luminara’s little sister and Ahsoka’s best friend—though they seemed closer than that. There were Rex and Cody, the identical twins, whom Anakin would have had a hard time telling apart if Rex didn’t have a blond buzzcut while Cody had dark brown hair. A seat away from Anakin was Ventress, a girl with a goth appearance—purple lipstick and eyeshadow, sky-blue eyes, and platinum blonde, almost white hair in a short undercut. When it got to her turn, the girl next to Anakin stood up and introduced herself as Padme. After that, everyone had to greet the person next to them. As Anakin shook Padme’s hand, she grinned at him. “Nice to meet you, Anakin. I hope we get to know each other better!” Anakin smiled back. “So do I…” Maybe he’d just found his new friends. And maybe, Anakin thought as he looked at Padme, maybe he’d found something more.

A/N: Yes I made it teenage Padawan Obi-Wan. Just imagine all of them like this: AOTC Anakin but a little younger, TCW Season One Ahsoka but as a human and with a better outfit, TCW Barriss as a human, teenage Rex, Cody, Satine, and Ventress, Mace, Dooku, Luminara and Qui-Gon in their late teens/early twenties, and TPM Padme and Obi-Wan, Obi also looking a little younger.

Day Five: Love Letters
A/N: This was my most popular Anidala oneshot on Tumblr. And also my personal favorite.

Dear Padme,

I’m writing to you from Utapau, as I, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka track General Grievous. I just want to write to tell you I’m okay, and that I thought of you earlier. There was a rock that resembled the necklace I gave you. I know it’s cheesy, but I think of you when I see things like that. Ahsoka made the rock fly into my backpack when I wasn’t looking, and Obi-Wan promised we’d make it a necklace for me when this is over. We can match! Other than that, there hasn’t been much going on. Ahsoka is actually a very good cook, a lot better than Obi-Wan. Don’t tell him I said that. But I still miss the meals we make together. When we get home we’ll make your favorite pasta. Tomorrow, we’re hopefully going to take down Grievous. He ran away from us today and we figured he wouldn’t have gotten to anywhere important. Besides, it was late. Wish me luck tomorrow, and then, hopefully, we’ll be heading home!

Your dearest Jedi,

Anakin

Dear Anakin,

I’ve always wanted to see Utapau! You’ll have to tell me all about it when you get home. Maybe we can even go together once the wars are over. That’s so sweet with the necklace! I hope you get it home okay. Nothing much has been going on here, either. The Chancellor has been suspicious. But I’ll fill you in on that when you get home. Wow, we’ll have to get Ahsoka helping us in the kitchen sometime! Speaking of, I’ll have all your favorites waiting when you get home, though I know you love cooking together. We’ll make it again sometime soon. Grievous really ran away? Wow, he is nothing like the legends about him, you know the ones that say he’d kill any Jedi unless they met some specific criteria to not be defeated? Well, good luck, though I know you won’t need it.

Your one and only senator,

Padme

A/N: It’s not really a love letter in the “your eyes are like stars, I miss you every waking moment” sense. Mostly because I find this a lot more heartwarming. Also, this is in a bit of an AU where they all went after Grievous together, and also earlier. I’m not really sure what happens after this but just know that everything going wrong ROTS style is not my intention. Also, the legends (Star Wars Legends, anyone?) about Grievous being unstoppable is from Clone Wars, AKA 2003 Clone Wars, AKA Clone Wars Microseries, AKA 2D Clone Wars (stop me, I’ve got more), which was basically his characterization in that.
