Class of '09: Afterlife

Summary:

(*No, this is not about death, the synopsis will explain it.)

In Class of '09: Afterlife, the world involves with the final end of the high school that lead to one of many other things that had Nicole, her best friend Jecka and lots of the others out of the school's hands, and is led out of the life that was once called a traumatizing death hell, and was wondering what to do 2 and a half years later and one full summer after the life of “high school” and out in the world. - SonicIsoDev

This is my own type of an alternate universe of a story of Class of '09, with the idea of it being years after (And somewhat within after the trilogy of the games) of the horrible (and traumatizing sort of) years of life in high school, and is out in the open within the summer in the life of Nicole and her friend's lives, in which it's either going to be a problem that is going to be an issue later on that might take it a whole different level, or something more positive that will be more easier for them in life.

Chapter 1: No Work, No Job

Summary:

“One year after 2 years of graduating from high school, Nicole was chilling in her own house in the living room watching something, until something came up when a knock entered onto the door. A knock that kickstarted her day into something that would either be good or bad later on in the day.”

Chapter Text

One Day, alone in her house in the morning, while her mom was at work around this time, unemployed, slumped on the couch watching Mythbusters, (since it’s one of the shows that are on at the middle of the day) Nicole was slumped in, wondering what to do to no be just watching this on her mother's normal cable TV.

“Is there anything other than Mythbusters that is on this stupid cable?” Nicole said, running the remote like crazy through channel through channel.

Nicole got up and turned off the TV and sat back on the couch, spouting about random things that she could do right now instead of being in the house having a Percocet once every few minutes or so sometimes. Suddenly, a couple of knocks jostled her out of her thinking, wondering who is knocking this early in the morning.

-knock knock-

“Who's knocking the damn fucking door this time of the morning?”

As she was going to the door, she was looking around for what would be on the other side of the door as she walked towards, thinking that it could be some random dude who was trying to get to her, maybe someone she doesn't like, let alone hate, or some random strangers that are doing what people would normally do.

“Hello? What are you and who are you doing at the front door?” Nicole says.

It's me!” The person says, on the other side.

“Who is me? Name, please?”

“Bitch, it's Jecka! Now open the door!” Jecka says, telling her name to Nicole.

When Nicole heard that name she opened the door to a girl that she recognized immediately based on her being the person who was with her though from high school, and is still even after. And that girl is Nicole's best friend, Jecka. She was wondering what Nicole was doing during this day as she has no work.

“Nicole, don't start that shit. Let me in.” Jecka said, waiting outside of the door to have Nicole in the house, waiting for her to let her in.

After thinking about it, she let Jecka inside, and was telling her why she came to Nicole's house. And by her response, it was because of her “stepmother.”

“So what’s up? Still want that offer?” Nicole says, talking about some offer that they both “agreed” to a while ago.

“No.” Jecka declines.

“Then what's up? Spill it.” Nicole says, sitting back down on the couch along with Jecka.

“It's about her..” Jecka says, while trying to calm down about what has happened with her.

“Let me guess. Emily?” Nicole says, looking up at Jecka still standing, and is sitting down next to Nicole.

“Emily.. Yes!” Jecka says, exclaiming that it was Emily, who became Jecka's stepmother with her dad, though her dad is not around as he left her with Emily all by herself to do whatever he's doing.

From what Nicole's eyes see from her perspective on the couch, she sees Jecka like a poor girl who is controlled by her own biological mother times eleven, who is being a bitch in a way that is more compressed in words that she can't explain at once, but can express in a different way that’s not physically or emotionally, but metaphorically mentally of her side of the story when she explains Nicole.

“So she’s still like this after high school, or I guess, hell?” Nicole says, taking a lighter and a cigarette out, lighting the cigarette while Jecka continues talking.

“Yeah. Entirely.” Jecka said to Nicole.

“How so?” Nicole asks Jecka.

“She's been throwing parties every other week or month, with me not getting as much sleep because of her making too much fucking noise throughout.” Jecka says, explaining what Emily has been doing for the past few weeks of her partying and having fun, etc.

“Damn, girl. How much notice do you get though every shift?” Nicole says, with the cigar in her mouth while speaking to Jecka about her problems.

“I don't know. I'm just tired like a fucking bitch who doesn't sleep for an amount of hours, slumping in and out the mall.” Jecka says, trying to explain while trying not to fall asleep on the couch.

“Here, take this.” Nicole says, giving the cigarette to Jecka.

“Thanks.” Jecka says, taking the cigarette and smoking it as she tells Nicole what she is doing right now and later on in the day.

“So what are you doing today?” Jecka says, smoking the cigarette, giving it back to Nicole.

“I was just watching Mythbusters on my mom's weak ass cable. I have to deal with Ari later on, and have nothing else to do but stay in the house.” Nicole explains as she smokes, saying about Mythbusters, her still dating Ari after high school, and with her no job.

“You're still dating Ari? I thought you guys were done after the whole hostage relationship shit?” Jecka says to Nicole.

“No. I’m still dating her not because that was lifted years ago.” Nicole declines her saying.

“And you're not just saying this because you're not working a job, right?” Jecka says to Nicole about her relationship with Ari, and other things involved with an unemployed job member “wanting” a job.

“What? Noo...” Nicole sways.

“Riiight.” Jecka says, crossing her leg over the other.

“But other than that crap, what are you really here for?” Nicole tells Jecka about why she's really here as she gets up from the couch.

As Nicole was getting up from the couch and walking into the kitchen getting whatever left in the fridge for grabs, Jecka was talking about why she was here because she wanted to see what she was doing, cause from her thinking of what she could be doing here, she just had to see and ask of what she’s doing.

“Oh, I just wanted to see what you might be doing, since I don't have work today, so I just had an Idea to go to your house.” Jecka says, still sitting on the couch, putting out the cigarette fire on the ashtray.

“You know you could just go see what anyone else says instead of me, right?’ Nicole says, sarcastically.

“Well, If you're that so damn selfish-” Jecka says, cut off by Nicole.

“I'm kidding, geez. You are so overdramatic.” Nicole says, walking back to the living room.

“So where's your mom?” Jecka asks Nicole.

“She's out, God knows what.” Nicole says, relighting the cigarette before stopping it, while holding a drink in her hand.

“So, she's coming back, right?” Jecka asked.

“Yeah. What's it to you?” Nicole says, removing the cigarette out and onto the ash tray and drinking her drink.

“Well, we could both go out and go to the mall and just see what we can do.” Jecka says, getting up from the couch, stretching her legs and arms, to wake herself up.

“But I don't have anything to do later on if that doesn't work.” Nicole says, still drinking.

“Then.. you should get a-” Jecka says before being cut off again by Nicole.

“Uh uh.” Nicole declined fast.

“Why not?” Jecka exclaims.

“Cause that one word would mean a lot of things that would lead to many other things.” Nicole says, putting out the cigarette and finishing her drink while talking.

“Well, how else are you going to get any money at all? From sitting in your own house just to have money come running in?” Jecka says to Nicole, about her not wanting a job, but wants money.

“That's not all that comes running in.” Nicole adds to it.

“I'm not even going to finish what you said, so are you coming or not?” Jecka asked, fixing her crop top and shoes as she asked her.

“Alright, why the fuck not?” Nicole says, agreeing with her.

“Alright, let's go.” Jecka says, walking towards the door as Nicole was going back into the kitchen and washing her glass as she heard the door open.

“You better pay for my fucking food when we get there!” Nicole says, putting the glass back in the cupboard in the kitchen.

“Yeah, yeah, come the fuck on!” Jecka says, walking out of the door, as Nicole follows.

“So how are we going to get to the mall?” Nicole says, closing the door as she’s going off the porch.

“By walking? What else?” Jecka says to Nicole, walking towards her car.

“Bitch, you have a fucking car. You can drive, Jecka. Drive us up to the damn mall.” Nicole says, facepalming her head because of the car in front of them.

As Nicole said that, she pushed it aside and agreed to her agreement and they both got into Jecka's car and drove them both towards Nicole's house to the mall. As they were cruising through the roads, Jecka had an idea to break the silence between them in the car to not have been quiet for the amount of time they wanted to talk about.

“So…” Jecka says, trying to say something to Nicole.

“So what? Is there something that you wanted to talk about?” Nicole says to Jecka wondering what she’s trying to say.

“So, what do you plan on doing for money instead of a job? Cause there’s no way that your mother is not going to get off the hook with no job.” Jecka says, maintaining her eyes on the road, while trying to talk to Nicole about her side of life.

“Well, if you must know, I might have an idea of a job that I wanted to do, but that doesn’t mean that I will never have a job at all.” Nicole explains to Jecka about a job that she found that she thinks that she can do, but doesn't want to hassle everyone around her judging how she is for her, and to not have any thought of a job and always rely on her mom at all times.

“Huh. That’s a bit unknown, but I kinda get what you’re saying. Cause I myself don’t have one after dealing with F.Y.E. for the longest with Kelly, hoping that I would ever do that again, and for me just looking for other jobs that I can do. And maybe it can help you too, Nicole.” Jecka adds to the conversation.

“I said, that I don’t want no fucking job!” Nicole shouts, which had Jecka stop on the brakes, scared of her yelling, and got back together and continued driving.

“Ok! Ok! I was just saying!-” Jecka says, trying to drive while talking to Nicole.

“Well, don’t say anything again about it while we’re in this car.” Nicole says, sitting back down in the passenger seat.

Ok. Let’s just be silent, then.” Jecka says, finishing up whatever she had to say to Nicole, to give her some time to herself and think.

“So if not for a job, what would you do for money?” Jecka says while driving.

“I don't know. Maybe I'll do something about it.” Nicole says, trying to stay quiet.

“Nicole.. are you thinking of–” Jecka says looking at her.

“Bitch, watch the fucking road!!” Nicole shouts, grabbing the wheel to move away from the car.

“OH SHIT!!” Jecka screams when seeing the car.

“You almost got us killed!” Nicole shouts at her for not looking at the road.

“I'm sorry!” Jecka shouts before shedding tears.

“It's ok. Just talk while driving, but do not look at me while doing it.” Nicole says to Jecka.

“Now wipe off those tears and calm down. Cause we're causing a traffic jam.” Nicole says, looking from behind to a small line of cars behind Jecka's car.

“Ok.. Let’s go to the mall..” Jecka says, wiping her tears.

And no I'm not doing prostitution, I'll think of something. Maybe.” Nicole says, sitting back down.

“Oh.. Well, I hope the mall has something for you to do because you're like.. 20 years old.?” Jecka says.

“And you're 20 as well, so you have no say in it as well, so we're both in the same boat.” Nicole tells Jecka about their age.

“Yeah, but the boat you're in is more different than mine.” Jecka says back to Nicole.

“You’re still my best friend, so you have no say in this.” Nicole snaps back.

“Yeah, Yeah. And, oh look, we're at the mall.” Jecka says sarcastically.

“Finally.. Let’s go to the food court.” Nicole says, getting out of the car.

“What the fuck does this bitch want now..?” Jecka groans as she gets a notification from Emily about something.

“What now?” Nicole says, seeing Jecka mad at something on her phone. “Emily notified me about where I'm at.” Jecka says in annoyance.

“Ignore it, she knows what you're up to.” Nicole says to Jecka. “I guess. Let’s go inside.” Jecka says, walking inside with Nicole.
