Work Text:

Her black high heels clicked loudly against the freshly polished ballroom floor as a very nervous Tessa paced back and forth by one of the ballroom windows. Her long black ball dress swayed gentle against her legs as she paced. The gentle instrumental music in the background along with her clicking heels, and the laughter of the other guests made her head spin. She bit her lip nervously, anxiety building up inside of her. She wasn't ready for tonight. It all came too soon. Tessa turned her head to face the entrance of the ballroom, while new guests arrived. Their gem covered dresses sparkled against the warm light of the ballroom. Tessa sighed relieved.

"Good, they're not here yet," She whispered to herself, but not quietly enough for someone else not to hear.

"Who's not here, Boss?" Tessa jumped, feeling as if her soul left her body for a moment. She turned around, and recognition washed over her as her ever loyal, and secret best friend stood before her.

"Oh, it's just you, J. Thank God," Tessa huffed, placing her hand over her fast beating chest.

"You expecting someone else tonight, Boss?"

"Unfortunately," J tilted her head.

"Who's coming, Boss?" Tessa turned her head to the other guests who were all dancing and laughing amongst themselves. Tessa envied them. All she wanted was one night where her parents wouldn't be breathing down her neck, and just be herself. She knew that wasn't going to happen though. She might as well ask for it to rain pancakes.

"Boss?" J's voice rang in her ear, making her snap back into reality.

"Huh? Oh! I'm sorry, J. It's just, my parents are making me see another suitor tonight for a possible proposal for my hand,"

"Another one? Damn Boss, your parents sure are dead set on having you hitched," Tessa scoffed at J's comment.

"I know right?! They want me to pick a suitor to marry by next week before my sixteenth birthday!" Tessa sighed, her eyes facing the floor.

"I'm sorry, J. You shouldn't have to listen to my complaints," J just smiled and waved her hand.

"Boss, it's fine! It's literally in my programming to listen to you. It's my job!" Tessa giggled slightly.

"You know what I meant,"

"Still my job,"

"Silly," The two girls shared a giggle before Tessa's face fell into sorrow again. She crossed her arms over her chest. J knew that look all too well. The look of pure defeat. Slowly, she placed her hand on her shoulder.

"Boss?"

"I just want one night without a stupid man asking for my hand!" J nodded understandingly. While she never had to face such a problem, she knew it was nothing but a burden to her friend. That alone made her sympathize with her conundrum. Tessa sighed again before placing her own hand on J's. White blush lines colored J's black visor.

"I'm glad you're here at least, Jaybird," J's blush brightened. She coughs awkwardly, and smiles at her human, trying to keep her composure.

"Yeah, of course, Boss," Tessa giggles.

"You don't always have to call me that you know. You can just call me, Tessa," J gave a soft but sincere smile.

"Whatever you say, Tessa," Tessa's cheeks grew warm as pink blush covered her face. She wasn't used to J calling her by her name. She didn't think it would effect her. But it did. Oh how it did. She turns her head away from her friend, hoping she didn't see her flushed face. J goes to speak again, but another voice beat her to it.

"Tessa James Elliott! There you are!" It was her mother, "We have been waiting for you in the piano room for twenty minutes!" Tessa gulped the lump growing in her throat.

"I was told to wait here to greet them, like the other important guests," Her mother scoffed at her daughter's foolishness.

"Don't be ridiculous! This isn't just any important guest! He could be your future husband!" Tessa's skin crawled at the word "husband" As if she would ever want such a thing. Though she is nearly grown, she never once thought of marrying a man. Her feelings towards them were no more then neutral. Even still, it didn't seem to effect her parents' choice of finding her one anyway. With one swift move, Tessa's mother wrapped her cold fingers around her daughter's wrist.

"Now move! We mustn't keep your suitor waiting!"

"Ouch! Mother, please!" The grip on Tessa's wrist felt like daggers as her mother squeezed it.

"Well, if you were to behave better, you wouldn't be chained up all the time now would you?" Tessa looked back at J, her optics hollowed with a look of both fear and shock on her face. Tessa tried to reach out to her, but her mother yanked her harder.

"Move girl!"

"Y-yes mother! Sorry mother," Tessa whimpered before taking one last look of her friend. Her metal hand outstretched as if trying to reach her again. That little gesture was enough to tell her that she cared, even if her feet refused to move. Defeated, Tessa followed suit with her mother as they walked out of the ballroom. Seeing Tessa like that broke J's heart. She wanted so badly to scream at her mother, grab at her arm, tell her to let go of her friend, but what could she do? If she ever tried to do that, it was the scrap yard for sure! All she could do was reach out to her as a simple 'I'm still here'. It wasn't much, but it felt like it was all she could do. With Tessa out of sight, she lowered her hand, along with her head. She looked down at the ballroom floor, her reflection staring back at her. She clenched her fist.

"Coward!" She spat at her reflection.

-------------------------------

Tessa sat with her legs crossed on a luxurious red chair. Her hands rested on her lap, while across from her stood a tall blonde boy, no older then seventeen. His eyes were bright blue with a hint of green in the center of them. His blonde hair was short and combed back. His attire was a jet black suit with a single red rose in the front pocket. He bowed to Tessa, holding out his hand to her. Tessa rolled her eyes, but reached out her hand to him, allowing him to place a gentle kiss against it.

"Ah, Miss Tessa, you're as beautiful as my family described," Tessa raised a brow.

"Is that right?"

"Truly a sight for sore eyes," He placed his other hand over his chest as he said that. Slowly, Tessa pulled her hand back, and gently rubbed the back of it against her dress.

"I must say, you have a lovely home, Miss Tessa,"

"Thank you, it was built by my grandfather during the-"

"Yes, yes, very nice," Rude. Tessa frowned at him, but he didn't seem to care. He seemed too distracted by other things as his eyes were on Tessa, but not her eyes. Tessa crossed her arms over her chest, making him look up at her face.

"I will admit, I was not expecting such a beauty when I came to this country,"

"Out of town?" She asked sarcastically.

"Yes, yes! I am from France!"

'So that's why he looks like a frog,' Tessa thought to herself as a small chuckle left her throat.

"Miss Tessa?"

"Huh? Oh! Apologies, I got distracted,"

"No need, you're allowed to tell me I'm handsome! I'm sure my charming looks is what made you distracted!" Tessa rolled her eyes again awhile clearing her throat. Annoyed, she uncrossed her legs and stood up.

"You'll have to excuse me, I need to powder my nose," Without saying another word, she storms out of the room.

----------------------------------

J sighed to herself as she mindlessly swept the hallway floor. With V and N catering to guests, it gave her time to catch up on sweeping. Not that she liked it by any means, but it was a nice distraction from her inner thoughts. Without thinking, she turns to sweep the otherside, unknowingly bumping into someone. As soon as they made contact J fell backwards onto the floor, dropping the broom in the process.

"OOF!"

"Watch it you idio-" Before she finished that sentence, she realized it was Tessa. She sat flat on her butt, rubbing the side of her head J bumped into.

"Boss! I mean, Tessa! Are you okay?" Without hesitation, J got up, and rushed over to her friend's aid. Tessa looked at her friend and smiled as if she was never hit.

"I'm better now that I found you," J's visor lit up with white blush. Geez, she really knew how to get to her.

"Why are you in the hallway anyway, J? I thought you were catering the guests in the ballroom?"

"I was... sweeping, N and V said they could handle it. Why are you in the hallway? Shouldn't you be with your suitor?" Tessa almost laughed at the question.

"I had to get away from that, that, that," She hesitated to say what she wanted, afraid someone else besides J was there. Seeing this, J placed her hand on her shoulder.

"It's just me, Boss. You can say it." Relief flashed across Tessa's face as she finally screamed.

"That frog!" J stopped herself from giggling.

"I swear! He's so stuck up! When he wasn't busy staring at my chest, he interrupted me when I was talking! The rude froggy bastard!" J bit her lip in anger. Hearing someone being so disrespectful to her friend made her oil boil. She wanted to give him a peice of her mind herself, but she knew it wasn't smart to argue with a rich man, and get sent to the junk yard. She took a breath and spoke again.

"Why is he a frog exactly?"

"Cause he's French," J couldn't help but snort at that one. But the action made her blush and covered her mouth in embarrassment. Tessa stared at her for a moment before a big smile spread across her face with a laugh erupting from her.

"Did you just snort?"

"Stop it! I'm embarrassed enough!" Tessa smirked, and placed a reassuring hand on J's shoulder.

"It's okay! It's actually really cute," Tessa wiped a tear of laughter from her eye. J uncovered her face as more white blush filled it.

"Y-you think I'm cute?" Tessa blushed back, realizing what she said. Well, no going back now.

"The cutest girl," J turned away. Tessa stood there still smiling when a thought popped into her mind. She blushed deeper at it. Clearing her throat she spoke again.

"Um, J?" J turned back to her.

"Y-yes, Tessa?" She hesitated, unsure of how to word what she wanted to say. She sighed.

"Hypothetically speaking, how would act with me, if you were a suitor of mine?" J's optics hollowed again as new blush spread across her face.

"W-w-what?!" Tessa blushed deeply as panic set in.

"Never mind! It's a stupid question! Forget I said it!" She spoke quickly before turning away to leave. But J wouldn't let her. Gently, she grabbed her hand, forcing her to stay.

"Wait! It's not stupid! I just wasn't expecting such a question!" Tessa stopped in her tracks and turned back to J. The two stand there in silence, their faces flushed, their chests heavy. J spoke again softly.

"I would do alot if I was a suitor," Tessa raised a brow at her drone.

"Oh? Like what?" J's chest pounded as she bowed low before Tessa, her hand still held gently within her own.

"I would, introduced myself to you for starters," Tessa giggled at J's gesture.

"It's a better start than the frog," J bit her lip to stop herself from giggling. She went on.

"I am Serial Designation J, at your service madame," Tessa smiled and did a small curtsey.

"A pleasure to meet you, I am Tessa James Elliott," The two girls shared a laugh before J went on.

"I would kiss your hand," She panics, "Uh! If you allowed of course!"

"Go on then," J gulps and places a quick kiss against her hand.

"Oh come on, J! That was hardly anything! Come on, girl!" J blushed again and placed a more sincere and gentle kiss against Tessa's hand. Her cheeks feeling warm again.

"Better..." Tessa spoke in awe. J's lips were alot softer then she imagined for a drone, and the tenderness that the kiss brought with it made Tessa's heart skip a beat.

"Of course next, I'd want to get to know you," Tessa giggled again.

"You already know everything about me, mate!"

"That's not true,"

"Huh?"

"There's always something new to learn about someone you care about," Tessa's whole face grew red.

"L-like what?"

"Well, maybe what your favorite dessert is?" Tessa smirked.

"You already know that, J!"

"I know what your favorite overall is! But not what dessert is your favorite with certain meals you have! For example, when you eat pasta that night, I know you'd want something both salty and sweet. Like peanut butter fudge," Tessa's eyes widen. She didn't know J paid such close attention to her habits. It made her stomach tie in knots.

"Or if you have sea food that night, you'd want something creamy and sweet, like ice cream,"

"You seem to know the answer then," She giggled.

"Ah, but I don't know what kind of dessert you'd like after a steak dinner," J smirked, making Tessa smile.

"Hmmm. For steak dinner night, I'd most likely want something chocolaty, so a slice of chocolate moose cake," J smirked.

"See? I didn't know that, and now I do," Tessa rolled her eyes playfully.

"Alright, alright, you win on that one, mate," J blushed again. She always did like being praised for a job well done, but it always felt better when it was Tessa doing it. She couldn't describe it, it just made her core's heat flourish inside of her. She couldn't stand it.

"What else would you do?" J cleared her throat as the next set of words flustered in her mind.

"Well, after some time of getting to know you more, I'd ask for a courting session,"

"You mean a date, J?" She'd nod. Tessa's hands felt sweaty as the two girls stared at each other, as if waiting for the other to make a move. J was the first.

"Uh, hypothetically of course!"

"Oh! Right, right, hypothetically!"

"Hypothetically!" The two look away from each other, both their faces flushed with blush. Tessa held her own hand in the other, gently rubbing the top of it with her index finger. J sighed, and spoke again.

"Would you ever want that with me?" Tessa turned back to her, her eyes wide and full of hope.

"Are you asking me on a real date, J?" J bit her lip as she nodded.

"I mean! Only if you want to?"

"I'd love to,"

"Y-you... really?" Tessa nodded eagerly, her hands intertwined with each other as they rested against her chest.

"I'd love to have you as a suitor, J!" J blushed a deep white blush. She wanted to jump for joy, scream at the rooftops, anything and everything at that moment. She never felt so happy. She steps on her own foot to snap her back to reality.

"Can you meet me at the garden tomorrow night then?"

"Yes, I will be there!"

"Okay! I'll have everything ready there! In the mean time, you should probably go back to the other suitor. He's probably wondering where you went," Tessa waved her hand.

"I'm not worried about it. Like mother said, it's good to make them wait a little," Tessa winks before the two share a small giggle before Tessa turns to leave.

"I'll see you tomorrow night, Jaybird!"

"I'll be waiting," J sighed happily as she watched her friend walk away down the hallway. Her core felt as if it was on fire. Her breath heavy, she never felt so happy before. All she wanted to do was jump for joy, and scream at the rooftops until her body gave out. But she couldn't, not yet at least. She had more important things to do, like getting ready for her date.

-----------------------------------

The night's air in the garden was cool and gentle. A huge difference from the normal over bearing heat of the summer days in Australia. The breeze blew between J's pigtails as she stood in front of N and V before her. They all stood on the back deck of the manor, right in front of the back garden. J wore a short skirt, strapless black dress on her form. The waves from at the bottom of the dress blew with the breeze of the night. Awhile N and V wore their normal work attire. Boring I know, but it wasn't their date. J put her hands on her hips as she spoke to her co-workers.

"Now remember you two, this night has to be perfect! So I don't want any mess ups! Especially you, N!" J pointed at N, making him take a step back in fear. White sweat dripped down his visor. V, sensing the tension, placed a gentle reassuring hand on J's bare shoulder.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine," J sighed, backing off of N.

"I know, I know. This is nothing! Just you know, a peaceful evening with the girl of my dreams that I've wanted to date for years, yeah totally fine!" J bit her lip as white sweat dripped down her visor, much like N before. Though it was also paired with bright white blush. V smiled at her nervous friend.

"Don't worry, just leave everything to us,"

"Yeah! We won't let you down!" N chimed in. J lets out a short breath.

"You're right, I got this,"

"J?" J's core fluttered as the voice of her friend filled her sensors. She takes a gulp and turned to face her.

"Hey Tes-" She stops dead in her tracks, her eyes hollowed as the sight of Tessa filled her view. Tessa stepped out from the darkness of the night and shade of the garden trees, and into the light of the back garden deck. She wore a tall glossy green dress, with one strap on her left shoulder leaving her right shoulder bare. The strap of the dress also wrapped gently around Tessa's neck like a sewn in scarf. The left side of the dress had a long slit down it, making Tessa's legs just barely visible. Her long chestnut hair was tied back into a bun with a small green bow hair clip resting against the side of her forehead. She looked amazing. J felt more beads of sweat drip down her visor.

"Wow... Tessa, you look, I mean you're just..." She couldn't find the words to describe her. Tessa only smiled before taking a few steps forward to J. She could smell Tessa's perfume. Dragon fruit. Though to J it always smelled more like cotton candy then a fruit. Regardless, it made her core melt. She could bathe in her scent.

"You alright there, mate?" Tessa giggled, her hand resting against her chin. J shook her head to refocus. She cleared her throat.

"I'm great, you look great!" J bit her lip, that wasn't the word she was looking for to describe the beauty before her. Tessa just smiled.

"You like it? I made this dress myself!" Tessa span around, showing her bare back that was covered in freckles. J gulped.

"It's beautiful, you did amazingly, Tessa." Tessa blushed before turning back to face her beloved drone.

"You clean up nicely yourself there, J," Tessa teased with a wink, making J blushed deeper.

"Heh, not nearly as well as you. You look extraordinary," Hearing that made Tessa's cheeks feel hot with blush again. Any confidence she had vanished. J cleared her throat, breaking the silence between them.

"Please, come sit, I have everything ready for us," J reached out her hand to Tessa, who gladly took it without hesitation. Slowly, J leads her to a small white table that stood in front of a large wall of white and red roses on the side of the manor. On the table was two plates, silverware, glasses, and a large sliver plate in the center of it all with a smaller silver plate next to it.

"J, did you do all this?"

"Well, V and N moved the table here, but it was supervised by yours truly," J boosted, her ego shining through abit. Tessa giggled. She always did like J's bossy personality. Even if she can be a jerk at times, she knew her attitude would be the secret to getting a job done. She admired it. Even found it slightly attractive.

"Is that why they're still here?" Tessa pointed to N and V still standing on the deck. N waved excitedly at them.

"Hi Tessa!" J smacked herself in the face with her palm.

"No, they were supposed to be playing music,"

"Oh! Right!" V remembered as she pulled out a book of music, and handed it to N.

"Quickly! Love song!" N gulped and flipped through pages upon pages of songs.

"Uhhhhhh! This might take a minute!" N called over to the girls. J sighed and shook her head, her fingers holding what would be the bridge of her nose, if she had one that is. Tessa giggled again, and placed a reassuring hand on J's bare shoulder.

"Hey, pay no mind to that, we don't need music right now. We can just talk," J blushed at her human and nodded, almost smiling. Gently, she pulled out a seat for Tessa and waited for her to sit. Placing a hand on her chest, she took the seat eagerly, as J gently moved it closer to the table.

"My, my, my, J. For a lady, you sure act like a gentleman," J smirked alittle as she took her own seat.

"Well, you are a fancy lady, I'd want you to have the best treatment," Tessa blushed, her cheeks flushed a deep rosy pink. Her emerald eyes followed J's movement as she sat down in her own seat across from her.

"I hope you like what I cooked for us," Tessa raised a brow.

"You cooked something?"

"Sure did! It's your favorite," J winked playfully, leaning over the edge of the table to reach the large silver dish. Lifting the lid, steam erupted into the night air, revealing a large cooked king crab lying on the plate. A side of mixed vegetables decorated the legs. Water droplets dripped off of the shell of the crustacean, it's smell filled Tessa's nose. She almost felt her mouth water. But J wasn't done yet.

"As for dessert, I wasn't sure if you would want your all time favorite cause it's a special night, or if you'd want ice cream because it's sea food, so I just made a whole new thing," With that, J lifted the other lid on the other plate, revealing a fabulous display of freshly baked chocolate-chip cookies with creamy French vanilla ice cream on top, a carmel drizzle decorated the sweet treat. This time it wasn't Tessa's mouth watering, it was her eyes. She placed her hands over her mouth, tears streaming down her cheeks. J's eyes hollowed, panic washing over her.

"I-I'm sorry! Did I do something wrong!" Tessa waved her hands.

"No, no! J, this is perfect! I just, never had this kind of treatment before! This is all just so sweet! I don't think I deserve all this!" Tessa wipes her eyes, careful not to ruin her makeup. J smiled a warm grin, her visor bright with white blush.

"Well, I think you do!"

"How?"

"Tessa..." J paused, searching deep for the right words. She sighed, and started again.

"Tessa, you gave me a home, a job, a purpose, a name, a friend. You gave me everything I have now! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't even be alive! To me, all this, is the LEAST I could do!" Tessa's eyes widened, her chest heaving. She never really knew J thought that highly of her. She always thought everything she did wasn't that big of a deal. She never knew to J, it meant the world. Wiping her eyes again, Tessa goes to grab J's hand. She gently squeezed it.

"Doing everything I did for you was, what I thought, was the least I could do for you!"

"It was everything to me!" Tessa blushed again.

"You mean everything to me, J," J's visor flashed bright white, blush lines covering her full face.

"You mean everything to me too, Tessa," She squeezed Tessa's hand back, their fingers intertwined with each other's.

-------------------------------------

The table stood there behind them, plates empty, and glasses half full. The two girls stood there facing each other. J's hand gently resting in Tessa's. Her other hand holding her human's hip. Tessa's other hand rested atop of J's shoulder, as V and N played gentle instrumental music behind them. V playing a violin, and N playing the deck's piano. The girls swayed slowly to the music. Tessa's head leaned against J's. She gently sighs.

"I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world, J," She whispered to her drone.

"I feel like I'm the lucky one, Tessa,"

"Oh? And why is that?" J slowly looked up at Tessa, her eyes sparkled against the light of the back deck.

"Because I've wanted to ask you for a date for years, and now here I am. Dancing with the most beautiful girl in the world," Tessa giggled, her cheeks flushed.

"You're beautiful yourself, you know?"

"Nothing like you,"

"What makes you say that?" The two girls stare into each other's eyes, waiting for the other to say something next. J sighed.

"Tessa, I'm a robot. I'm built to look the same as every other drone. There's really nothing about me that's really all that beautiful. But you?" J looks her human up and down, her face flashing brighter as she does.

"You humans have so much that make you beautiful! Your eyes, your hair, your body types, everything. I can't think of anything that doesn't make you beautiful," Tessa waved her hand in front of J.

"Even so, there's so much about you that makes you so beautiful to me,"

"Like?" Tessa ran her fingers through J's pig tail, smiling warmly at her.

"Your personality for one. Awhile yes, you can be abit of a hard-ass to the other drones, it's that commitment to do things right that makes me admire you. Besides, as you showed tonight, you do have a very sweet side! You truly care about others, even if you don't always show it. That to me, makes you so beautiful," Without a second thought, J stands on her toes, and kissed Tessa's lips passionatly. The feeling of her lips alone was enough to make J feel like she'd explode into fireworks. Her lips were soft, warm, and tasted like cherry cause of her chapstick. To Tessa, J's lips were not hard, but soft. Softer then they were on her hand. At first, her eyes widened, her cheeks flushed in shock. But that shock soon fades, and her eyes close, kissing J back. Tessa held her friend's cheeks in her hands keeping her in place. V and N gasped in surprise at the display, but kept playing their instruments. Soon, Tessa pulled away slowly, the two girls staring at each other in both shock and awe.

"Woah, Crickey!" J's face flashed bright white.

"I can't believe I just did that!"

"I can't believe I just said that! I haven't said that in years!" The two pause, a moment of silence falls between them. Soon, the two started giggling. The seriousness fading into a laughing fit.

"Good lord, Tessa!"

"You hush!" The girls laughed, their laughs echoing in the night air. Their laughs soon faded, tears in their eyes. Gently, J wiped Tessa's cheek. Tessa rested her hand ontop of J's on her cheek, making her drone blush for the thousandth time that night. Without saying a word, the two lean in for another kiss, but Tessa pauses.

"Wait, what time is it?" J taps the side of her head, showing a digital clock on her visor.

"It's about nine thirty-five," Tessa's eyes widen in panic, releasing her hold on J.

"Crap! It's past my bedtime! If mother and father realize I'm not in bed, they'll freak!" J's optics hollowed, realization hitting like a brick to the back of the head. Quickly, Tessa places a gentle kiss on J's cheek before heading towards the door.

"J, I'm terrible sorry to end this so soon, but I should go!" J goes to reach Tessa's hand again.

"Tessa wait! Before you go, I wanted to give you something," Tessa turned back to J, raising a brow.

"What is it?" Quickly, J pulls out a small black box from her dress pocket. She placed it in Tessa's palm.

"W-whats's this?"

"Open it and find out," With little hesitation, Tessa opened the box, her eyes widened upon seeing what was inside. Slowly, Tessa pulled a beautiful diamond necklace from the box. The chain was pure gold, a silver colored heart as the charm, covered in diamonds.

"J-J... where did you...?"

"I bought it for you with the money you pay us with,"

"You did not!"

"I wanted to! I know I won't be able to see you that much next week on your birthday. So, I bought this for you as an early gift,"

"J..."

"Is it okay?" Tessa sniffed, tears in her eyes again. She held the necklace close to her chest as a tear dripped down her cheek.

"It's perfect... Thank you so much, J," J smiled, gently wiping her cheek.

"Of course, Tessa," Slowly, Tessa leaned down and kissed J gently on the lips. The kiss making J's core beat a million miles an hour. Slowly, Tessa pulled away.

"Thank you for everything tonight, J. You really are the best suitor I ever had," J smiled proudly, her confidence flowing through her form.

"It was my pleasure, but would you ever like to do this again?" Tessa nodded.

"Consider it a second date!" With that, Tessa turned away and walked into the manor, leaving J there on the deck, it's back lights shining down on her. Soon, Tessa was out of sight, the clicking of her heels faded in the distance. J's knees felt like jelly, her body over heating from happiness. She falls to her knees, a wide smile plastered on her face. She let's out a long sigh of contentment. N and V rushed to her side, large pride filled smiles on their faces.

"You did it, J!" N cheered, his arms in the air. But J ignored him, she was too busy replaying the kiss in her mind. Her cheeks flushed, bright white blush lines covered her full face. The feeling of Tessa's lips still fresh on her lips, feeling as if they never left. Cherry flavoring stained her tongue. She sighed again lovingly.

"Yeah... uhuh,"

-----------------------------------

Tessa closed her bedroom door behind her, her new necklace still in hand. With a long sigh, she sinks down the front of the door, sitting on the carpet floor of her room. Looking down at her necklace, her cheeks felt hot. She never felt this way before. She never felt so wanted, so important, so loved. She looked over the necklace, it's diamonds' shine bouncing off the candle light of her room. Soon, something catches her eye. Taking a closer look she sees letters on the inside of the charm.

"Happy Birthday, Tessa. Love J," Her smile widened, her heart racing. She held it close to her chest again.

"If I could, I'd tell my parents I've chosen a suitor, and one that truly has stolen my heart," Tessa sighed peacefully. Feeling relaxed for the first time in her life, and the feeling of warmth wrapped around her body like the way the arms of her love did.

THE END!
