A/N
I saw Hoppers last week and really enjoyed it and have been listening to Save the Day along with some of the score tracks but felt like writing something as I enjoyed the friendship between George and Mabel so couldn't help myself but hope you enjoy this series of lilories revolving around King George and Mabel being actual friends if you've seen the movie, you know about this.
In this first story, it's set after the ending and Mabel still has the robotic beaver as Doc Sam figured it was safer with Mabel as long as she's careful so she can hang out with George in thecGlade when not helping Doc Sam
"Mabel, whatcha you doing here I thought the humans took the hopping tech away, after what Titus did, or tried to to do to the town." George asked Mabel confused but happy she was back at the Glade in her beaver form making her grin, as Doc Sam had let her keep the beaver as long as people didn't know she had it being careful impressibg George and the others hoping she'd come back.
"Yeah, I'm being careful but it means we can hang out again, as I missed you." Mabel told him making him grin.
"That's great and the phone's awesome." George said as she had an idea, showing him WhatsApp and voice notes making the crown wearing beaver male's mind blown as it meant they could communicate when she wasn't here which he liked seeing Loaf sleeping despite being the new paw of the king surprising Mabel knowing she couldn't be here all the time plus deciding not to tell Doc Sam which he got hoping Connor wasn't aroubd even though he wasn't helping Doc Sam anymore which Ellen got as she and the others hoping had missed the lil human beaver hearing something from her.
"Awww man I gotta go as that's Doc Sam. Don't worry I'll be back." Mabel told George.
"Looking forward to it. Don't be a stranger." George told her as she left the reserve returning to her parents's house as they'd koved to Beaverton after hearing what had happened, involving Mabel and the Glade plus had made her see a therapist sneaking back into her room unhopping putting the robot beaver in her closet taking deep-breaths hearing her door opening seeing her mom there relieved she hadn't tried sneaking out to the Glade relievibg Mabel hearing she was going to be late meeting Dic Sam seeing her leaving the house heading to the university she'd once studied at along with discovering the Hoppers tech seeing students excitedly notice her and curious about what it was like for her being a beaver knowing she wasn't supposed to talk about it feeling nervous, until Doc Sam made them disperse.
"You okay kiddo, they were bothering you about you know.
Did you visit George this morning. It's alright." Doc Sam assured her.
"Yeah and was careful plus showed him how to use WhatsApp
So we can talk besides the emojis." Mabel told her.
"That's amazing and a good idea, to let you keep it." Doc Sam said seeing Mabel nodding, feeling her phone vibrate as it was WhatsApp knowibg George was practicing giggling replying saying he did a good job but with Doc Sam right now so could hang our later, maybe swim since she'd been working on her swimming skills after her adventures in the Glade which impressed her parents, not knowing why sensing it was to do with her being in the Glade knowing things were okay Pkus she and Jerry were working together like he'd promised taking deep-breaths grinning as Doc Sam explained what they were working on knowing George would wanna hear all about it later, asking if this was okay.
Nobody knows I have the tech." Mabel told her seeing her nodding.
She'd also just gotten a WhatsApp from her parents telling her she was gonna be a big sister, making her anxious deciding maybe George might have some advice taking deep-breaths knowibg her parents were going out to celebrate meaning she could visit the Glade which Doc Sam agreed on curious about what he'd say
"Wow you're gonna be a big sister. That's great as you can teach them about Nature and us." Mabel heard George saying, as after her parents had went out for dinner so decided to visit her animal friends especially George telling him the news her parents had told her aboht being a big sister sensing she wouldn't be able to tell him or her about the Glade or being a beaver which surprised George knowing it might help them bond seeing her nodding asking how things were going after what had happened involving Titus which he got nodding. "We're okay Mabel and built a new dam after we destroyed the other one to save Beaverton." George assured her.
"Don't worry, we didn't make it that strong, in case another fire happens." Ellen heard Loaf saying yawning.
"Good and should get back soon. I'll be back soon." Mabel said leaving making George sigh.
"She'll be fine George. She's strong. Like taking out that human made tree." Ellen assured him.
"I hope so." George said softly going inside the lodge with the other beavers.
Mabel returned to her family's house, unhopping and putting the robotic beaver on the charger in the closet relieved her parents weren't home yet knowing they'd flip out if they saw her as the beaver imagining how that would go looking at a photo of her and her grandma who'd been a park ranger which had helped her with her rage when she'd been lil hoping George was alright.
