Work Text:
When the day ends, and the sun sinks behind darkened hills, I will still love you.
When the sky fades from blue into orange and yellow and purple and finally a deep, consuming black, I will still love you.
When the moon peaks out over the horizon, its cool, grey light reflecting in bright lines on the ripples of the ocean, I will still love you.
When the stars appear, small pinpricks in an inky void, I will still love you.
And when they fade again, at the start of a new day, I will still love you.
Every yesterday, today, and tomorrow, I will love you.
Through every pain, every hardship, every moment of suffering, I will love you.
And when the sun explodes and we die together, staring into a life we could have had, I will still love you.
I will always love you.
