Before she could answer, strong hands landed on her shoulders from behind. A scent of incense and old wood filled her nostrils. Turning her head, she recognized Douman's silhouette.
"Get lost! Can't you see she already has a boyfriend?"
Douman's voice echoed down the school hallway as he fixed his gaze on the boy who had just asked his girlfriend out.
Ran quickly apologized to her junior, who nodded with an understanding smile and left. At that moment, she felt a warm and comforting touch on her back: it was Douman, who gently draped an arm around her shoulders.
"Acchan, are you jealous?" she teased, jumping back and slightly tugging at her skirt with a playful smile. As she said this, she gave him a friendly little push in the chest.
Douman glanced at her sideways, a slight smile playing on his lips, and took off his jacket, draping it around her waist. He then tucked her shirt under her uniform skirt.
"Jealous? No, just careful," he murmured, taking her hand and squeezing it gently. "That guy's been talking about you for weeks in the literature club. I wanted to clear things up."
She giggled softly and wrapped her arms around his neck, moving a little closer. "I kind of figured something like that... well, but I'm only interested in you, you know?" she said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"It would be a problem if it weren't."
They almost kissed, but Douman was pulled back by the collar of his uniform. Class representative Seimei didn't look pleased at all. "You shouldn't show affection in public," he emphasized sternly.
Ran giggled softly, covering her mouth with her hand.
Douman huffed in irritation, adjusting the garment that had been stretched.
Seimei added, looking him straight in the eye, “Clearly, you need to control your temper, Vice Delegate.” Although he was worried about them, he perfectly understood that they were a couple, that Douman and Ran had started dating, and that she fully reciprocated his feelings.
If their jealousy had been terrible before, when they weren't even together and lacked any subtlety, now it was even worse.
Before Douman left with Seimei, Ran stood on tiptoe and tugged on her partner's tie, pulling him closer and kissing him. In an instant, Douman's hand was on her waist, gently pulling her closer.
It wasn't a superficial touch or an innocent kiss. “That's too vulgar!” Seiryuu exclaimed, just before Genbu covered his eyes with his hands.
Byakko smacked his head with the palm of his hand. “Those two aren’t in a drama! Get a hotel if you have to,” he snarled. But at the same time, he wouldn’t let Douman take advantage of his little sister—besides, he hadn’t even given that “bastard” Douman his blessing.
Ran was annoyed with Seimei. She lay down on the bed, and Byakko's shouting was the worst part. Even though he adored her, he didn't approve of her relationship with Acchan. How cruel!
Sniff, sniff
The teddy bear smelled delicious; it was a gift from Acchan last week. Its eyes were a little strange, and if it weren't for the fact that Douman had given it to her, she would have thought it had a hidden camera. But Acchan would never do something like that—he's such a bore.
"You know, I love Acchan," she muttered as she touched the teddy's head, then rolled around on the bed until her short hair was completely disheveled. She grumbled angrily at herself.
Ran knew she was being super childish, but she also needed cuddles. Lots and lots of cuddles from Acchan.
Suddenly, she felt uncomfortable, took off her blouse to go take a bath, and blew kisses to the bear before leaving. She was overjoyed, and her whole body felt tingly, as if Douman were right there.
She went back to get a robe to look for clothes, and her face flushed bright red. "I'm going crazy!" she exclaimed, turning to face the teddy bear—which, without her noticing, was standing in front of a mirror. She started trying on every item of clothing: dresses, sportswear...
"Acchan, Acchan," she called to her boyfriend almost to herself; she loved calling him that. "Do you think he'll like this?" she wondered aloud, clapping her hands when she settled on a green dress with a purple vest—purple like the color of her Acchan's hair.
"I hope he likes it. I'm proud to say I know him well," she said with satisfaction.
She turned to pick up the bear and met those eyes again. Through them, Douman had just taken a picture of the beautiful Ran and adjusted his phone with a satisfied smile.
His girlfriend was being too unfair, calling him even when he wasn't there. It had to stay that way: Ran should always think of him, of Douman, as much as he loved her.
"Douman!" Seimei called. If he thought it was strange that Douman suddenly shut down his computer, he didn't say so.
"What do you want?" he huffed, sulkingly taking off his headphones.
Seimei wore that suspicious smile that annoyed him so much, and sighed before speaking: "Here."
"Are these tickets? Why are you giving it to me?! ?"
"I feel guilty for interrupting the lovebirds, so head to the arcade," he declared.
"Ran will love it!" Seimei said before leaving.
That damn Seimei always bragged about having met Ran first, just like Byakko and the rest who were completely unimportant. But it was Douman who was dating her, he who could hold her in his arms, make her his... have her all to himself.
Of course, she had to be his alone.
But...
"Let's stay at my place," he muttered through gritted teeth, looking around with darkened eyes. There were too many idiots staring at his girlfriend—lumbering guys who couldn't stop staring at her. Ran looked a little depressed about the change of plans, and that only increased his irritation.
Douman, calm down, he told himself. He shouldn't always monopolize her... even though another voice in his head told him yes, it was the right thing to do.
Ran gently touched his face with both hands, closing her eyes as she looked at him. Even though Douman was agitated, all his irritation vanished in an instant when he saw her like this.
"So Acchan wants to come to your place?!" he asked, his cheeks flushed. After the kiss he gave her, her small body trembled as if she were cold—but in reality, what Ran needed was Acchan. She looked into his eyes, needing him to understand the feelings that overwhelmed her.
Was she the only one who felt this way, as if she couldn't be without him?
"KYAAaa!" she gasped when Douman bent down to kiss her again, harder than before, holding her by the waist so she couldn't move.
"I'll take you to my place, and you'll stay tonight..." he whispered against her lips, his tone low and possessive, making it clear that it wasn't really a question. "Only mine, understand? No one else will ever be able to look at you or touch you the way I do. You're only mine, Ran... only mine.”
"Of course, all yours!!"
Wow, what a different side of his girlfriend: she was looking at him with those big crimson eyes, and... she was holding him so tightly, as if she needed him more than anything in the world.
How could Douman be cruel to her? Like any good boyfriend, he should pamper her to the fullest!
His fingers gently brushed against the fabric of Ran's blouse, and they both quickly felt the feelings they'd been holding back overflow. He knew she was watching him because she looked away, blushing—of course, their gazes held so much hunger that Ran felt like a little snack, prey in his hands. Now she wondered if she could really satisfy Douman.
"Don't worry," he said with a half-smile, moving even closer. "Absolutely, I'll make you feel as satisfied as you deserve, I promise! I want to do my best."
"I want Acchan to be happy... I... I'll please you, until... until you're satisfied!" she stammered, her voice trembling and her eyes shining.
"I'm happy every day I have you by my side, but..." He kissed a strand of her short hair, then stroked her cheek, "but pleasing me means you'll live with me, right? Every night, every day... when we're not at school, we could have our own house, cook together, sleep cuddled up..."
She interrupted him, covering his mouth with her hands, her cheeks flushed red:
"Acchan, stop it! I can't handle all this tenderness and... and these ideas at the same time!" she said with nervous laughter, though her fingers remained pressed to her lips. "Of course I want to live with you, but... we should talk to Byakko and Seimei first! Although... although I'd also really like to have all that with you..."
I want you too, I want to know you're mine. I want to...show you how much I desire you.
Now I have more for myself...mine, only mine
"They're practically like our family... Stop it, Acchan! That's not what I meant... You're making fun of me!!" she exclaimed, giving him a little shove in the chest while covering her face with her hands, too embarrassed to look at him.
"Sorry, sorry! Hahahaha!" Douman laughed heartily, grabbing her by the waist to stop her from moving away and gently stroking her back. "I'm not making fun of you, I really meant to say that... although I will admit I had a little fun seeing you blush," he added with a mischievous smile, kissing the exposed part of her neck.
"That bastard Byakko will definitely refuse," Douman muttered, unable to tell her how much he worried about being rejected by someone who was like a brother to her. He gave a resigned smile, though his eyes betrayed his frustration.
"Let's go to your place, now!" She nodded energetically, having fully recovered from her earlier embarrassment... though she couldn't stop wondering: why on earth had she hinted at that? Did Acchan desire her in the same way?
"What's wrong?" Douman noticed her distraction and gently took her hand, squeezing it lightly to get her attention. His expression softened, and he set aside his worry about Byakko, focusing now on her. "If something is bothering you or you're scared, you can tell me, okay? I won't do anything you don't want."
She's blushing again. How cute!!
