Chapter Text
VENUS POV
This day started like any other day of June. I woke up, washed my face, then took an especially long time combing my hair since I forgot to braid it last night before going to sleep.
I went down to join the planets who already were settling in the living room; there were just a few ; around the rounded dining table, which is sitting in the left corner of the living room. The present planets were Neptune and Jupiter only while Sun was still in the kitchen. Although a "day" in my timezone is approximately 216 days of earth, I am one of the first planets waking up.
Then came Saturn, with well-kept hair and clothes; you could think that there was a special event if you didn't live with her. She's just always like that.
She and Jupiter exchanged greeting glances and then said good morning to the others. After that came Uranus quietly, I could barely know his presence, and Mars, who was wearing headphones did not seem to about his surroundings. The redhead could have tripped and fallen if not for Earth making that exaggerated entrance and saving Mars from falling (idk, gravitational energy or physical).
Followed by Mercury who was the last planet ; although his sunrise-to-sunrise day is equivalent to 176 earth days, too slow for "fast as the wind" (Hermes was called that).
When everyone sat down around the table (it genuinely feels cramped in there). I couldn't help but notice this weird air between Sun and Pipsqueak (Mercury)... as if they're hiding something from us.
After a while, the planets were half done with their pancakes and French pastry that Uranus had apparently suggested to Sun. I genuinely can't understand Sun's constant need to control everything; he's very strict about everything, actually. But whatever, I really don't want any problems with the Sun himself.
Speaking of Sun, he stood up suddenly and said,
"I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT."
Silence.
This definitely caught everyone's attention... he continued after being sure that everyone was paying attention:
"We're going to leave the mansion!" His expression was almost crazy; I could see some confused and some other terrified expressions across the table. "TOOO..." Why do I hear cinematic drums? "Go to a SUMMER CAMP, YaYy! So we're leaving the mansion temporarily."
