1. an odd pair (naruto)
everybody who worked under the uchiha clan knew that their boss would stop at nothing when it came to deals and trading.
except when his wife told him not to do it.
the couple was odd, really.
their boss was the head of the yakuza. a man who has a lot of blood on his hands.
his wife? a renowned doctor.
the couple was odd, really.
one takes lives, one saves lives.
apparently they were childhood sweethearts who got married at age sixteen, the earliest you can marry someone in konoha.
many would wonder how would their relationship work if they were from two completely opposite worlds?
the answer was simple.
uchiha sasuke was absolutely down bad for his wife.
the man who could kill with his bare hands, the man who successfully invented new torture tactics, was an absolute puppy when it came to his wife.
and his right hand man, naruto, was able to witness everything ever since they were young as they were all childhood friends.
“darling, you smell like blood again. you’ve gotten sloppy when cleaning up.” sakura says as soon as sasuke greets her from the door.
“sorry, princess. i’ll clean up better next time. i promise.” sasuke says with a gentle tone before kissing sakura to welcome her back home, knowing she was tired from her job.
“i cooked your favorites today. i saw you had two surgeries scheduled today. you must be exhausted. let me massage your back as well.” sasuke says as he walks beside sakura to the dining room where all her favorite dishes were laid out.
“you can go home now, naruto. thank you for your service today.” sasuke adds, naruto nods and takes his leave. his work mostly ends after sakura arrives home. their home had one rule: never bring yakuza business to their home.
if a stranger saw how sasuke acted right now, they’d think sasuke was just a caring husband who had a totally normal job.
2. what did you do this time? (ino)
sasuke didn’t fear a lot of things in his life. growing up as an uchiha and being trained to take over the yakuza ever since he was young, he had seen almost every horror life had to offer.
but one thing scares him the most.
an angry sakura.
it scares him enough to bring him to his knees.
it was his fault that sakura was angry at him, he forgot to turn off the oven before going out, and as a result, it burned the chocolate cookies that sakura was looking forward to eating.
so he’s currently at ino’s flower shop, buying flowers for his wife in hopes of making things right and to earn the right to sleep beside her.
“alright uchiha, what did you do this time?” sasuke wasn’t even greeted with pleasantries, ino knew right away from his expression.
“flowers that say ‘i’m very sorry it won’t happen again’?” the only reason sasuke is letting someone talk to him like that is because she’s sakura’s best friend, and ino knew that and takes advantage of it.
“what did you do this time?” ino says with one brow raised.
“forgot to turn off the oven.”
“yikes, sakura is a patient woman.” ino says, already gathering the bouquet.
“word of advice, give this with her favorite ice cream. she mentioned it to me yesterday.”
“thanks yamanaka. keep the change as always.”
must be nice to be extremely wealthy!
ino may tease sasuke as he always comes whenever he needs flowers for sakura for various occasions. her birthday, their anniversary, just because flowers, all of those are flowers from her shop. she’s happy that sakura has sasuke wrapped around her finger ever since they were children. her best friend deserves the best.
3. awe, young love (kakashi)
there are only a handful of people that sasuke trusts to touch his cellphone: sakura (his wife), itachi (his older brother), kakashi (his third-in-command, an older brother-like figure), and naruto (his second-in-command) in that particular order.
anyone else who would even dare look at his phone would likely lose their hand.
“kakashi, hold my phone. i need to deal with these fuckers myself. tell me if sakura texts me.”

sasuke-kun, do you want curry for dinner?
i’ll eat anything you make, princess. even if it’s inedible.
sweet talker. what did you do now?
i didn’t do anything. can’t a man be honest to his wife? :(
beef curry it is.
can i have you as my dessert? :)
of course, darling. see you at home.
kakashi could honestly laugh out loud, but he still wanted to live so he just chuckled.
awe, young love. he suddenly feels very single now.
4. the power of the wife (itachi)
many people wonder why itachi didn’t become the heir of their clan when he was the older sibling, and every time someone asks, he just says that it simply wasn’t his calling.
however, sasuke is a different story.
on some days, he finds his little brother scary because of how much violence he is capable of, especially to traitors as he valued loyalty more than anything else.
but not many know that sasuke isn’t actually the one people should be fearing. it was actually his wife, sakura. honestly speaking, sakura was probably physically stronger than sasuke, and itachi suspects sasuke is well aware of this.
in the middle of bashing a hammer into the head of one of the traitors, sasuke’s phone rang. everybody knew who was calling based on the ring tone.
sasuke immediately dropped the hammer and gestured to his men to handle it as he answered the call and put it on speaker.
“yes, princess?”
“sasuke-kun, do you have any idea what time it is already?”
everybody in the vicinity was suddenly quiet.
“shit… i’m on my way home, sakura! i’m so sorry!”
itachi swears he has never seen sasuke run that fast. sakura truly has him wrapped around her finger.
5. you know other men? (neji)
it wasn’t unusual for sasuke to visit sakura’s workplace, he would often bring her lunch, pick her up from work, or just see her if he wanted. after all, he couldn’t live without her.
“darling, what brings you here?” sakura greets him with a kiss on his cheek, it was moments like these where sasuke knows he won in life.
“just wanted to see my wife. i also brought some of the food you were craving. you should eat them up while they are still warm.”
“this is perfect. our department is throwing a welcome party for a transferee doctor. i’ll share my food with them.” sakura says, knowing that sasuke most likely brought too much food.
“who’s the new doctor?” sasuke asks, he knows who sakura works with in the back of his head, their names, faces, and maybe address.
before sakura could answer, a long haired tall man who was also wearing a doctor’s coat went closer and wrapped his arm around sakura’s shoulder, “doc, the party is going to start.”
sasuke has never seen this man his whole life, and he already wants to kill him.
“get your hands off my wife.-” sasuke was already seeing red, thankfully the newbie knew how to listen as he immediately retracted his hand.
“sasuke-kun, be nice. he’s the new doctor.”
“nice to meet you, i’m hyuuga neji. you must be the famous husband of sakura. i guess you’ll actually kill me if she didn’t tell you to play nice?” neji says with a smirk.
“yes, i am. you’re right. the only reason i’m playing nice is because my wife asked me to.”
neji bursts out laughing, “ah, it’s always fun to toy with yakuza men.” he says, then puts his hand up, showing his wedding ring, “i’m also a married man. i just wanted to confirm the rumors myself.” he adds before leaving the couple alone.
“princess, are you sure that man is fit to work? he seems crazy.” sasuke says with a frown.
“you’re so cute when you’re jealous, darling. no man can ever compare to you, okay?”
even after years of marriage, sakura knew what words made sasuke’s heart race.

“happy birthday sakura! thanks for keeping our boss in check!” kakashi says as he takes a shot of the alcohol.
they were currently having an intimate birthday party in their house, with only sakura and sasuke’s friends being invited.
“what’s wrong with loving my wife? have you seen her? i must’ve saved the world in my past life because of how lucky i am to have her as my wife.” sasuke says, completely sober and unabashed to tell his feelings.
“there are many things in my life that could be better, but sakura stands at the center of my world.” sasuke says, holding sakura’s hand, “happy birthday, my wife. i’m the luckiest to have you.”
sakura responded to his declaration of love with a kiss, her heart feeling full from the love that sasuke gave her.
