HEAVEN'S COURTROOM
Heaven, the perfect place, one where there aren't any problems and everyone is happy, that would be the common thing but that specific day in a certain place there were a lot of things and peace wasn't even near to be one of them.
In the center of the courtroom stood alastor the infamous radio demon being judged for being in a relationship with the seraphim of joy Emily.
Sera: “Council, we are here to discuss the punishment of this demon for messing with one of our own, he destroyed the sanctity of this realm and has therefore been summoned to this courtroom to discuss how to handle the situation” .
The room filled with gasps and whispers “he did what?” “how did we let that happen?” “ what do we do now?”.
Sera:”Silence, now, how do you plead demon? And don’t you dare to lie to us” said with silent fury.
Alastor:”your holiness, with all due respect, fuck off, you really think I could ever love an angelic being? after everything they did to us? don’t make me laugh, I wanted to take advantage of her position and spread chaos to heaven but now I see that she was too useless to even do that, I’m almost relieved I don’t have to pretend anymore”.
At this point Emily was shocked, she couldn’t understand what happened to Alastor when the previous day they were happy having a date.
Emily:”Alastor wh-”.
Alastor:” shut up seraphim,t withstand your stupid voice another second so just shut up you stupid girl”. said a seemingly angry radio demon
Emily upon hearing this was heartbroken, the light of the courtroom gloomed against his watery eyes, she couldn’t understand, was it really everything a lie? that couldn’t be, right? after everything they’ve gone through, every night talk, every shared secret, was really everything a lie? Emily didn’t know what to think anymore when suddenly something happened.
Light engulfed the room and suddenly the speaker of god appeared at the center of the room making everyone gasp, even Alastor whose eyes widened in pure shock.
Speaker:”what is happening here? Why am I feeling so many negative emotions in this room? asked concerned.
Sera:”your highness, this demon filth took advantage of one of ours, manipulated her just so he could bring chaos to this realm and if we hadn’t intervened, he could have succeeded in such a devilish crime” said the fuming sera.
Speaker:” is that true, my child? you wanted to break the rules?” asked without any prejudice, just pure curiosity.
Alastor:” oh for fuckings sake, yes, yes I was if it weren`t because of a stupid seraphim that can’t even do anything as easy as keep a secret, honestly how could I have ever loved her? it was too obvious that I had wicked reasons to do so” said, now impatient.
With each word said by the deer demon the heart of Emily broke more and more while she cried silently thinking “ how could i have been so naive?”
Speaker:” if that is true then why do I feel no honesty in your word? I sense hatred but only towards yourself my child, something is troubling you” pointed the speaker of god.
Alastor that for the first time in the trial tensed up:” I-It`s true, that hatred toward myself is because I let my pride get the better of me putting everything at her sake and obviously failing because she couldn’t even do the simplest of chores”. said with a slight tremble only the speaker could notice.
Speaker:” no my child, I feel no truth in anything you say, why lie? said worried.
Alastor, clearly agitated:” SHUT UP It’s the truth, it needs to be, why insist? I’m a demon, a lost cause who enjoys seeing others suffering, who enjoys inflicting pain to everyone in his surroundings, that’s all I am, nothing more and nothing less”
Speaker, grabbing Alastor’s face:” please my child, I know you are suffering, stop lying, I promise everything will be ok”
At this point Alastor’s mask disappeared along with his smile and with his eyes starting to tear up:”N-N-NO I AM A MONSTER I-I need to be one if I want to protect her…”.
Speaker:” please, explain yourself my child”.
Alastor:” it was a lie nothing I said was true, ok? but I needed to lie, I thought that maybe if it seemed like a demon manipulated her instead of just being in a relationship with one only I would be punished, I also thought that if I made her hate me she wouldn’t waste any time grieving me”.
Speaker:” and why go so far for her, my child?” asked the speaker already knowing the answer.
Alastor:” because I love her goddammit, she is the only good thing that has happened to me since I have memories. I didn’t know what happiness or love meant before knowing her, amusement? sure, conditional care? why not? but until I meet her I’d never knew what it felt someone looking without fear or disgust, she is the star that brought brightness in and warm in a heart I didn’t even know I had, she is my everything, that’s why I couldn’t stand seeing her getting punished because of me, I don’t know what I would do if she fell because of me so please high council, I’m begging you, don’t punish her, I take all the blame please, I'll do anything, I'll give you everything, my power, my soul, I'll be your slave, I’ll be a toy the exorcist can have fun with torturing me but please, don’t punish her” at this point Alastor was at his knees and sobbing while begging.
The speaker of god was pleased to see that he was now speaking from his heart, Sera was shocked when she learned the truth, the council was bunch of tears upon hearing such thing said with that intensity and Emily was still sobbing but now for different reasons, she felt relieved to see Alastor did loved her, preoccupied for his demise and touched because the confession, then the speaker sentenced.
Speaker:” I think we can all see how this demon has no ulterior motives and only wants to love his partner so I decree that as long as the love is respectful and mutual said relationship shall remain as it was”.
Emily didn’t wait for the speaker to finish, she rushed to Alastor who was crying now out of relief when he felt those familiar arms around him.
Alastor, still crying:” I am so so sorry little dove, I didn’t mean any of that please forgive me I just didn’t want you to lose everything because of me”.
Emily, also crying:” I’m not mad at you silly, but please don’t do that ever, you made me think everything was truly a lie for a moment.
Sera approached them with a regretful face:” dem- Alastor, Emily, I am truly sorry for causing you trouble.
Emily:” It’s ok sera, I understand that you only wanted to protect me but you need to trust me more often ok?”.
Sera nodded, hugged her sister and went to continue to her duties as head seraphim.
Suddenly Abel and St Peter approached them, both with red eyes from crying and Abel said:” damn girl, you sure picked your man, that was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard, wanna come and tell us about him?” asked as St Peter nodded in agreement.
Emily:” thanks guys I really appreciated it but after this hectic day I think it will be better for both of us just to lay down and sleep, what do you think Ally?.
Alastor:” I couldn't agree more mon ange”.
