Chapter Text
“The loudest one is mine!” Jeremy sang out to the crowd, the rest of the cast at his sides. He raised his arms up, a big stupid smile on his face.
“Jeremy…” SQUIP said weakly. This was the 12th time they had gone through this musical. Surely everyone else was getting tired of this, right?
Jeremy turned, his smile faltering for a second when he saw it before coming back.
“The loudest one is mine!” He sang out again, this time more in SQUIP’s face. He surely got tired of singing that at this point.
“You can’t get rid of me that easily…” it said, managing to drag itself over to Jeremy, just like always.
It managed to stand up, its legs shaking and barely supporting it. It reached out to him, its hand shaking as it did.
It winced as pain coursed through it.
“The loudest one is mine!” Jeremy sang out one last time, as if he were banishing it.
It stumbled forward and collapsed onto its hands and knees. If computers could throw up it was sure it was going to.
“Jeremyyyyy…” it sang out in pain.
Just before it collapsed it looked at the crowd, the people watching it. The world went black. The last thing it heard being the claps and cheers of the crowd, happy with another performance it had no choice in.
Maybe this would be the last one. It always hoped that. The cheers of the crowd faded into the back as it felt itself gain its strength back.
Words started coming out of its mouth before it could think about it.
“Target female inaccessible.” That horrible line, the one that meant it had to do this whole musical again.
“Jeremy?!” Christine called out in concern. She crouched down to look down at Jeremy’s spasming body.
“Agh! What the hell?!” Jeremy yelled out in pain, holding his head in his hands.
“Calabration in process, please excuse some mild discomfort,” it said calmly.
“Mild!?” Jeremy called out in pain.
“Jeremy, what’s wrong?!” Chrsitine said, reaching out to Jeremy before getting pulled back by Jake so she didn't get hit.
“Dude, the freak’s freaking out!” Jake said, seeming freaked out and concerned.
“Calabration complete, access procedure initiating.” it wished they could stop the words.
“Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.” Jeremy stood back up. “I’m fine,” He said, fixing his now messy hair “I just ne-”
“Discomfort level may increase,” it said. It wanted to cover its mouth and make the words stop. Was this how Jeremy felt when it controlled him?
Jeremy yelled out in pain again, falling over and spasming on the floor.
“Accessing neural memory, accessing muscle memory, access procedure complete.”
It loaded in, at the mall again, with Jeremy looking up at it, various mall folk staring at Jeremy.
‘Here goes a thirteenth time,’ it thought.
