Work Text:
Luna Lovegood ambled down the street, glancing in a couple of shop windows as she passed them.
She pulled her coat around her – the nights were drawing in, and the evening was a little colder than she thought it would be – then she continued down the street.

He watched her walk down the street ahead of her – a young woman alone. A pretty young woman at that.
He’d been following her – watching her – for the last three or four streets, and there was no sign she was meeting anyone, or with anyone, or that she was anything other than what she appeared to be – a pretty young woman who was all alone. Alone and vulnerable.
He resisted the urge to quicken his pace – from the way she was headed, they’d be going into the business district soon and then there’d be far less chance of witnesses.

Luna turned down the road that lead to one of the abandoned warehouses near the docks – she knew it went out of business a few years from now – and slowed her pace slightly.
There were fewer streetlamps and very few people around at this time of the evening, and she could see a patch of wasteland about two third of the way down the street which would be perfect for what she wanted.
She continued to walk at the same pace, and about half a minute later she heard the footsteps behind her. The guy – it couldn’t be a woman from the weight of the steps – was trying to match his footstep pattern to hers, but she had too much experience for that to work.
“But” She thought “The fact he is trying suggest he has some experience as well”
She carried on walking, but didn’t change her pace despite what she had heard. Her best guess was it would be thirty five seconds until he caught up with her, at which point – she let an internal smile cross her internal expression – she would be about level with the wasteland.
“The perfect place for an ambush” She thought, then she continued walking along the street.

The excitement triggered an urge within him, but instead of giving into the urge and just rushing her, he only quickened his pace slightly. He’d seen the patch of wasteland up ahead and was timing his stride so he would catch up with her when she reached it.
Then it would be an easy task to drag her off the street, into the shadows and then………
“Well – then we’ll see what we’ll see” He thought, a smile crossing his face.

Luna reached the wasteland, heard the footsteps behind her, felt the hand on her shoulder and then felt herself being dragged backwards into the wasteland.
She stumbled, then fell over, landing on her back.
Looking up, she saw a tall man with long black hair staring down at her. She stared at him for a moment, then smiled.
“Good evening, Mister Anderson” She said in a calm, level voice. He blinked.
“You know my name” He said in confusion.
“Leonard Anderson, aged 32, of 21 Belleview Close, Associate Marketing Director at Grunnings Drills, with a possible promotion next year if your sales figures are good” She paused “And by the time you are fifty seven, you will be responsible for twenty seven murders, thirty two kidnappings, fourteen counts of GBH, numerous counts of domestic abuse, rape, sexual assault, battery, stalking, voyeurism and other crimes too numerous to mention” She glared up at him “I was to be your first victim, but unfortunately for you this is not going to end how you thought – this night will see you dead”
He stared at her blankly for a moment, then threw back his head and laughed.
“You? You are going to stop me? You are going to kill me?” He laughed again “How are you going to stop me? You are just a powerless little girl who is all alone”
“That’s the thing, Leo” A voice came from behind him and he felt a dagger being pressed against his spine “She isn’t alone and she isn’t powerless” The voice paused “And she is definitely not ‘just a little girl’” As the voice finished speaking, there was a flash of light, and when it faded, Leo was facing a lion the size of a shire horse.
“My name is Hermione, and this is my wife Luna” The voice behind him continued “We have…… certain skills. And after all the blood, torture, fear and death we have seen, we decided to use them to ensure that no one will suffer any more”
“But………” Leo started.
“Your entire life will be decided to pain, suffering, torture and death” Hermione carried on as if he hadn’t spoken “When we originally caught up with you, you showed no remorse and no inclination for change” She paused “So we came back in time, to this point, to kill you”
“Kill………” Leo tried again, but before he could get another word out, the lion reared up on her hind legs, and then reached out with her forelegs and ripped him in half.
A moment later, there was another flash of light, and Luna reappeared in front of her wife.
“Hello, dearest” She said brightly.
“Most beloved” Hermione smiled back, then pulled her into a passionate kiss.
“So who’s next?” Luna asked a few minutes later, when they had both got their breath back.
Hermione pulled out a folded piece of paper from her jacket with the initials “RTS” written on it, then handed it over to her wife. She unfolded it, looked down the list then up at her wife.
“Him? Really?”
“Can you think of anyone more deserving?” Hermione asked in response.
“True” Luna admitted “When?”
“Just after the end of the war” Her wife replied “It will mean he can do what he needs to do to save the world, but then we can deal with him before he starts getting out of control”
“Okay” Luna nodded “Shall we?”
“We shall” Hermione took her hand “But this time I get to do the killing” Luna laughed, then the two of them vanished in twin bursts of light.
