Work Text:

When Eri was five years old, her parents adopted 2 little toddlers. Her parents being pro heroes, Eraserhead and Present Mic wanting to expand their family. The three of them visited a orphanage. When they got there two toddlers stood out, Izuku and Hitoshi. Both toddlers follow and play with each other. Izuku loved playing heroes with Hitoshi. Izuku pretends to be All Might Izuku is the younger of the two, being born on July 15, was vastly intelligent for his age. The toddler have fluffy green hair, green eyes, and freckles. Aizawa got little flustered when he got recognized as a pro hero. He found Izuku adorable when he listed all facts about him and Yamada. Izuku got Yamada interest for being energetic, Izuku begged Yamada and Aizawa play with him, especially playing heroes, every time they visit. Yamada lasted longer than Aizawa, who usually got tired after an hour of playing.

The older, Hitoshi, preferred to play with stray cats that came to the orphanage. Of course, he loved Izuku. Never once he got uncomfortable with Izuku. Hitoshi have purple hair and eyes. He is slightly older than Izuku, being born on July 1st. He got Aizawa's attention when he first saw Hitoshi setting on the ground with a cat. Being a cat person himself, Aizawa hang out with Hitoshi until visitation time is up. He would show pictures and stories to Hitoshi about the cats at home. The look is his face beamed with excitement learning there be cats at home. Aizawa soften when look at Hitoshi

When Eri first visited the boys, she squealed in delight and asked if she play with them. She plays with Izuku playing as heroes or pretending to be damsel in distress. Izuku also loved playing in a kitchen set meant for children. He always wanted to make katsudon, ramen, or any warm comfort foods both him and Hitoshi to enjoy. The little chef brings a plate of "food" to the adults, both would pretend to eat to make Izuku happy. Hizashi was delighted the little green bean wanted to learn. On days Eri plays with Hitoshi, he pretended to be a veterinarian for the cats. Aizawa was worried for safety as Hitoshi was playing with cats, especially they are strays. Miraculously, the cats allowed Hitoshi to use a toy stethoscope on their bellies (Aizawa secretly took a picture). Yamada almost panic and lost control when he first saw the scene. The three knew right then and there, the two boys would be perfect editions are the family. At the courthouse, Eri shore that day to always protected her little brothers.

Fast forward to three years, Eri is now eight while the boys are five. Today in April, it's Hitoshi and Izuku first day of kindergarten. "Wake up, kiddos! Today's is your first day of school." Hizashi singed as he shook both kids' beds. Izuku got up right away and smiled. Meanwhile Hitoshi covered himself, "five more minutes" he moaned. Hizashi pulled the sheets off. Hitoshi groaned, now drag his feet to the bathroom. Both boys finished gotten ready though Hitoshi is still a little sleepy. Hizashi and Shouta finished setting up breakfast. Both are in their hero uniforms, planning to go to UA after dropping the kids off. Eri is excited her brothers are going to school with her. She remembers when she first went to school, Izuku and Hitoshi cried. Both were begging her to stay at home. Hizashi held them back, while Shouta escorted Eri to school. "Good luck", he said to his husband. As they were walking, the boys cried louder.

"Where is she going?", Hitoshi wailed, pulling himself away trying to escape Hizashi hold.

"Is she going away forever, papaaa?!" Izuku cried as he was hitting his papa's hand to let go.

"No boys. she not going away forever. She'll come back. Izuku, stop hitting papa" Hizashi kept holding their hands. That day really tested Hizashi and Shouta's patience. Trying to grade high schoolers work, clean the house, and cook while dealing with crying three-year-olds are not easy. Shouta somehow managed them to take their naps.

After breakfast, the family managed to get outside without the boys wearing shoes on the wrong foot. Eri took one of each boy's hand. Izuku to her left and Hitoshi on her right. Both parents swelled in joy and pride for Eri looking after them.

"She becomes a caring sister to them. I'm so proud of her." Hizashi commented as they are walking behind the children.

"I couldn't agree more. She has been protective of them ever since we took them home" Shouta replied. He recounts one-time Eri used her quirk on Izuku and Hitoshi after scaping their knees while playing outside. Before Shouta came back with the first aid kit, Eri used her quirk on their knees. Shouta did tell her few times not to use her quirk when he's not around. But decides not to punish her for doing the right thing.

Soon as they got to school, Izuku was hesitant of going inside. Shouta knew exactly why, Izuku's quirkless status.

Last August, Hitoshi discovered his quirk after Izuku a question. The blank expression scared Hitoshi and started screaming. Shouta ran into the bedroom, thinking the worst. He saw Izuku blank expression, then looked at Hitoshi. "What happened?" Shouta asked softly while embracing him. "I asked Izuku where is my plushie. Then he...he..." before started crying again. Shouta used his quirk on Izuku, who then went to Shouta, hugging and crying. "Hitoshi, you did nothing wrong. You got your quirk." Shouta softly explained while hugging the kids. That evening, Shouta explained what happened that day. Hizashi was proud of the quirk, but afraid Hitoshi's quirk would view negatively. Hizashi volunteered to take the boys to the doctor, while Shouta stays home to watch Eri. Dr. Garaki examined both boys and concluded Hitoshi have a brainwashing quirk. But Izuku shows no sign of quirk development. The doctor showed Hizashi the boys X-rays. "If you look here Hitoshi does not have the extra pinky joint, meanwhile Izuku does. Mr. Yamada it concludes Izuku will not have quirk."

On the way home, Hizashi looked at the middle mirror as he drove, Izuku eyes are red as he was going to cry. And Hitoshi was starring outside. Neither say anything. Shouta knew instantly something wasn't right. Hizashi told him Hitoshi have brainwashing quirk, while Izuku doesn't. Aizawa went to the boy's room and saw Hitoshi comforting Izuku. He has been crying since they got home. Hitoshi was laying with Izuku hugging him. "Izuku, I heard what happened. Do you want to talk about it?" Shouta softly asked. He put both boys, on each lap. "Are you sending me away?" Izuku cried, looking away. "No, You're my son. I'll never send you away. Never asked that again. I love you so much. That goes for you too, Hitoshi." Shouta scolded. He gave both Hitoshi and Izuku kisses on their checks, the facial stubble caused them to giggle. Aizawa smiled hearing them giggle.

"Why would you ask that, Green Bean?" The trio snapped up to see Hizashi and Eri. "Izuku, we all love you. It doesn't matter to me if you got a quirk or not. You still want to be a hero, right?" Hizashi walked up to them. "You know, there are heroes like daddy" He continued. "I can't forget about you, Hitoshi. I'm happy you have your quirk and you wanted to also be a hero. Your quirk would make villains surrender easily. We both have faith you both can accomplish that goal." Shouta nodded.

Eri ran up to her brothers, hugged them both, "I love you both". Since then, Eri wanted to be with them every step of the way.

Back at school, Izuku is holding Shouta hand tight. Hitoshi grabbed Izuku other hand. " We can walk together" He beamed.

"Ok" Izuku whispered.

Mrs. Suzuki is the boy's teacher. Aizawa had called her ahead of time to ensure boys safety and never to mention their quirk status. "You don't have much to worry about Mr. Aizawa. The boys will be in great hands." She exclaimed. She was once Eri teacher few years ago. She would tell her parents how she day was with her teacher.

"Come Izuku, Hitoshi. Let's get to class"

Both Izuku and Hitoshi looked at each other, then to Aizawa. Aizawa nodded to them, "Go, we'll pick you three up after school. You'll do great." Aizawa smiled at them, giving them both head pats.

The two boys followed the teacher. Aizawa refocus towards Hizashi and Eri, he currently talking to Eri's new teacher. Hizashi crouch down to give her final hug before sending her off. Both heroes reunited, "Do you think the boys will be ok, babe?" Hizashi asked. " They will be fine. Eri is also there." Aizawa replied. Hizashi now having a feeling something goes wrong but decides not to tell his husband.

Throughout the day, the boys are adapting to their new environment. They were able to meet and make new friends. Eri is excited to learn. Things are going great. Time is going by quickly, before they realize it now recess. Hitoshi and Izuku are at the slide, Hitoshi is about to go down. Then older kid pushed Hitoshi out of the way. "Move it babies. This slide is for big kids only." The bully barked.

"Oh yeah. Why? Hitoshi asked with a smirk on his face. Izuku paled, knowing he going to...

"Because...." The bully fall for Hitoshi trap. "Move out of the way." He commanded. He turned to Izuku. "Let's go". Pointed to the slide. Both went down together, by the time they went to the bottom, Hitoshi quirk wore off. The bully yelled out "HE'S A VILLIAN!" pointed at Hitoshi. The other older kids ran up to him, pushed Hitoshi and Izuku to the ground. The leading bully punch Hitoshi on his face. Izuku screamed for help, but that gained attention to the other kids. Eri heard the screaming, ran to a group of kids circling around. She manages to squeeze through then became shocked in horror. Kenji, the bully in her class, was hitting Hitoshi, who' covering his face. Izuku being held back by Kenji's followers.

Eri couldn't stand back and watch. She always watched the hero news with Izuku. She knew she had to do something.

She raised her fist, ran to Kenji's face. Her fist connected to his face, Eri heard a satisfying pop. Kenji fell onto the ground, letting go of Hitoshi. Izuku manage to free himself, ran to Hitoshi aid. Kenji stood up, raised his left hand to his face. He saw blood on hand, looked down, seeing the crimson staining his shirt.

Kenji tackled Eri to the ground, trying to punch her. Eri had a up hand rolled the two over, started punching his face. Not caring the children around shouting "fight. fight. fight", Eri refused to stop. Kenji pulled Eri shirt down, yanking her hair, trying to shove her off. "NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO BULLY MY BROTHERS" Eri screamed as she punches. Kenji use his quirk, basic strength quirk, pushed her off. He manages to get on his feet, punched Eri back on the nose. The fighting continued.

Mrs. Suzuki ran outside, after a classmate told her there's a fight outside. She looked around then saw the circle of students cheering. "Break it up. Break it up" She commanded. She lifted Eri off of Kenji. Another teacher arriving to the scene, helped pulled Kenji to his feet. Mrs. Suzuki set Eri down, glared at the other children. "Go to class. Everyone."

The children ran back into the school, not to anger Mrs. Suzuki anymore. The four kids remaining, Izuku, Hitoshi, Eri, Kenji, all looked at her. "You four, you're coming with me to the principle." demanded. When they got there, Principle Sato talked with the students one by one hearing their side of the story. When it's Izuku's turn, that's when the principle pieced together. "Izuku, you are only one who didn't do anything wrong. Tell me what happened. You're not in trouble." He assured.

"Toshi-nii and I want to go down the big slide. Kenji pushed him shouting "only big kids allowed". Then Toshi-nii used his quirk to move so we can go." Izuku admitted trembling.

"All this for the slide?"

"Then Kenji shouted and pointed at Hitoshi, yelling he's a villain. HE NOT A VILLIAN" Izuku cried.

" Thank you. But I'll have your parents. You understand there's no fighting on school grounds. You can step outside."

Izuku walked out of the office, he sat between Hitoshi and Eri. Kenji sat crossed them, glaring at them. All three children went to the nurse after speaking to the principal. Hitoshi have bandages on his face and arms. Eri have scratches mostly on her forehead and a gauze in her nose. Kenji have the worst injuries, having bandages on his arms, one on his nose, including a gauze, and having a ice pack pressed against his face.

Meanwhile at UA, Aizawa was out on Gym Gamma, supervising his student fighting skills. He felt his phone ringing. At first, He was thinking let it go to voicemail, but something is off. He pulled out his phone. His breath stops a short moment he saw the caller ID. "The school? On the first day?" Aizawa thought internally. "This is Aizawa" His tone

"This is the Principal Sato at Nabu Elementary. Your children had gotten into a fight with another, especially Eri."

Aizawa breath hitched. "What happened? Are the kids ok?"

"Yes, their fine. Two of your children got into a fight. Eri and Hitoshi. I would like to come as soon as possible."

"Will do." Aizawa hang up. He tightens grip on his phone. He tries to calm down. He looked at his class. "Class, fighting's over. Get dressed, then you're dismissed." He dials Hizashi. "Hizashi, the school called, saying Hitoshi and Eri gotten to a fight." He said angerly. "I know, babe. They called me too. Are you going there now? I can't leave during lecture. I'll tell Nezu what's happening. You all better tell me everything at home" Hizashi replied.

,

"I'll go get them. Will do." Aizawa hang up. He ran his left hand up his face, attempting to calm down.

Aizawa exited the high school, jumped though the city using powerlines and buildings. Didn't take long to reach the school. Once he landed on front of the school, Principal Sato is already standing on front. "Aizawa, that good you've made it. The other parents are inside."

Aizawa followed the man into the office. Once there, he saw the state all the children. Hitoshi have bandages on his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. Eri have few scratches on her forehead and gauze in her nose. Another kid having a ice pack. "What the hell happened?" Aizawa thought. The only kid left is Izuku, having no injuries, but having a box of tissues on his lap.

" Just what are you teaching your kids?!" Aizawa's head snapped toward the voice. A woman with hands on her hips, she stormed to Aizawa. " Teaching your kids to harass other children. To use their quirks." She shouted, pocking Aizawa chest hard. All the children looked the adults, frightened.

"I didn't teach them anything. That also means you have no right to touch me." Aizawa swatted her hand away.

"Now I have everyone's attention. Hitoshi was attacked by Kenji, leading Eri and Kenji fought at recess today. We'll discuss further in my office." The principle stated. All the adults entered the office, while the kids watched. Once the principle gave the full story, Kenji's mother snapped at Aizawa once again.

"See, your kids are the ones causing problems" Kenji's mother shouted.

"Then I'll give you my point of view as a pro hero. Your boy is very entitled to everything around him. Demanding everything given to him on a silver platter, not caring about others, including yourself. If the behavior goes into adulthood, I wouldn't be surprised if he landed in prison." Aizawa smirked at the women.

The women faced flushed red out of frustration. Walked outside, grabbed Kenji arm to drag him out of the building. Aizawa faced the principle "I'll talk to Hitoshi about quirk usage."

"That'll be fine. I'm not reprimand him much, as he was the victim in this situation. I'll talk to him to ask for an adult before taking those measures. The school well be over soon, you can take the children home."

"Thank you. Has anyone known about Izuku's quirk?" Aizawa is always worried for Izuku's safety. As statistic on quirkless people are not pretty, from suicides, job, social, economic discrimination.

" There hasn't been a word of him. "The principal assured

"That's a relief. Thank you for your time." Aizawa bowed slightly before exiting.

" Come, we'll all go home." Aizawa turned towards his kids. The children followed him down where they think their heading home. Come to a surprise when Aizawa took them to a ice parlor. "I know, I shouldn't do this. Eri, you made me proud defending your brother and Hitoshi, you don't deserve to be plummet to the ground. Izuku, you behaved good today." The children look at their father in shock. "But I'll talk you more when we're home."

Izuku ask strawberry scoop, Hitoshi asked for vanilla, and Eri asked for apple sorbet. Aizawa didn't get away, he preferred more salty than sweet. He pulled out his phone to check the time. UA should be over by now. He texted Hizashi the kids are fine, but having some bruises.

Shouta: The kids are fine. Eri got to worse of it.

Hizashi: OMG, the hell happened?

Shouta: Hitoshi was being attacked, then Eri punched the boy in the face. Leading to a fist fight.

Hizashi: That's my girl. Im heading home. Love you <3

"Let's go." The children followed their father.

Once home, Hizashi looked at the state of the children. "OH MY, TOSHI, ERI. They made it sound like small fight, not a full on brawl?! Come you two, we you cleaned up." He lifted Hitoshi up and gently grabbed Eri's hand to lead them to the bathroom. Izuku looked up to Shouta, arms up, asking to be held. Shouta smiled down, lifting the small boy. "Do you want to help making snacks" He asked Izuku. The little boy beamed as his known to love making food. Both prepared sliced apples and tuna onigiri.

Little later, Hizashi brought out Eri and Hitoshi in new bandages. Shouta kneeled down to kiss their checks. "I want to say Eri, I'm happy you stood up for your brothers. I didn't expect you to punch so hard. Who taught you that?"

" I learned it from you and papa. When you two on TV, Izuku and I try to punch like you." Eri cheerfully admitted. "I'll do it again!"

Shouta chuckled and patted her head. "That's my girl. Now Hitoshi." Hitoshi freeze.

"I'm happy you stood up for yourself and Izuku. People shouldn't shove you like that. But you shouldn't use your quirk on school grounds. Do you understand" Aizawa asked.

"Yes." Hitoshi trembled.

"Little listener, you're not in trouble. I'm promise." Hizashi kneeled down to give him a hug. Hitoshi sobbed in him arms.

After a few minutes, Hitoshi starting to calm down. "Hey, you like some snacks. Daddy and Izuku made onigiris. Would you like one?" Hizashi asked softly. Hitoshi nodded. Hizashi lifted him to the dinner table, where the left of the family enjoying their meals. Shouta drinking a cup of coffee while on his phone reading reports of his mission tonight. Hizashi swore his husband having a coffee addiction. Does he ever drink other than coffee? Hizashi prepared small plate for his son. Look to the rest, the kids are munching their food. Hizashi Yamada is happy his family is together.

After snack time, the kids wanted on sleep on the parent's bed together. Shouta tucked the kids in and slowly walked out. He walked to the kitchen while Hizashi is cleaning up. "What a day" Hizashi commented. "On the first day school."

" Trouble children, all of them." Shouta added.

" I'm glad the children are ok, minus the scrapes and bruises. I didn't expect Eri thug out." Hizashi joked.

"I didn't either." Shouta smirked, finishing his coffee.

"How's Izuku?""

"Shaken. He witnessed everything."

"Poor baby." Hizashi pouted.

" I'll have them to start self-defense training sooner I thought."

"We'll do that together, babe." Hizashi finished, kissed Shouta on the lips. Aizawa returned back. Since the two adopted the children, both rarely had time intimate with each other. After few minutes, both heard giggling. The adults broke apart, saw their children awake. Eri and Izuku are giggling, while Hitoshi gagged at the scene. "You are supposed to be sleeping" Hizashi snickered, starting to chase the children. Shouta stood back to watch his family play and chase around the house. The sounds of joy brought a genuine smile to his face, reminding himself who's he fighting for, what heroes fighting for: for the bright future for his children.

FIN

Notes:

My first fanfic in years. I hope you enjoy reading it. I didn't expect the story would be so long, but i enjoyed writing it. I would like to know, how do you feel about the main show's ending and the vigilante series?
I was crying so hard after watching both shows back-to-back, especially after Aizawa's school days arc.
