Rui Kamishiro stepped into the office building, his mere presence was enough to settle down the noise surrounding him. His gaze spread across the room, until it landed on a familiar head of blonde hair inside a nearby cubicle
Tsukasa Tenma.
Rui’s expression dropped instantly iinto one that couldn't possibly get more terrifying.
“TSUKASA!!”
The blonde jumped up from his seat. Tsukasa then whipped his head around to the sound of his boss's voice, one that he recognized instantly
“Y-yes, sir?”
He hurriedly grabbed a napkin from the fastfood bag laying on his desk, brushing away small crumbs left on his white buttonup. His actions were frantic as he tried to hide the evidence, though it was obvious he was enjoying his lunch
“How long have you been on break?” Rui was clearly unimpressed. “Honestly, it’s like I don’t even pay you to do your job.”
Tsukasa could feel his shoulders tighten. “I apologize, sir… I’ll get right on it.”
He began closing the food container, his hands moving swiftly to tidy up his workspace. He didnt have enough time to pull out his laptop before Rui suddenly crouched down beside him, lowering himself to Tsukasa’s level
The shift in his tone made Tsukasa jump.
“You’re lucky...” Rui murmured, his voice quiet, but clearly directed towards Tsukasa in an frustrated manner “that I see potential in you, Tenma.” His fingers tapped against the desk in a slow yet light rhythm. “But just that alone won’t always be enough. You got that?”
Before he let those words settle in for his employee, Rui got up from his crouch position. And as if nothing had happened, turned and crossed the room with a few long stries of his legs. The office door shut behind him.
Tsukasa's shoulders dropped as he stared down at his desk. He could never understand why Rui seemed to be harder on him than anyone else. There were at least three of his coworkers in view who were doing practically nothing at that very moment...
Yet, it was somehow back to him.
Inside his office, Rui let out a long sigh as he dropped into his chair
Why was he always so hard on him...
Tsukasa Tenma without question was one of.. if not the! most capable employee he had. The blonde was quick on his feet and always willing to get the job donwe. If he was being completely realistic, Rui trusted him more than anyone else in that buildint
And maybe that was the problem. Rui saw so much potential in this man, he felt that he had to push for more in order for the man to be successful
Or maybe, it was something far more than what a boss should feel towards his employee, which was something Rui wasnt ready to admit just yet.
