Husband to the Rescue

Summary:

What if it was actually Chris who saved Grace and Leon in Requiem?

And what if after Chris saved them, he clung to his husband like the softie that he is?

Notes:

I just recently got into the Resident Evil franchise and omg I’m obsessed.

Thank my (future) bf for that.

I am a lover of gay ships, and quickly became obsessed with Chreon, so here we are. :)

I hope you like it. This is my first ever Resident Evil/Chreon fic, so be gentle :)

Work Text:

Leon thought that it would’ve only been the Hound Wolf Squad’s men that would’ve showed up at the last second to save his ass, right when the power went out, not the team and Chris Redfield himself.

Though, Leon isn’t that surprised.

It is Chris Redfield after all.

Oh, how Leon loves him.

Chris and Leon lock eyes as Chris affirms his team that he has Leon and Grace in his sights.

“W-Who’s that?” Grace asks, stuttering. “I-Is he going to k-kill us?”

Leon shakes his head, smiling, laughing under his breath, still locking eyes with Chris. “No, that’s my husband.”

“Oh,” Grace's eyes go wide as she looks back and forth between the two men. “I-I didn’t know y-you were m-married.”

Leon chuckles, turning his head towards her, holding up his left hand, wiggling his glove-covered fingers. “The glove hides the ring.”

She smiles slightly.

“Leon Scott Redfield-Kennedy, what the fuck did you do?” Chris’s deep voice calls out, immediately catching Leon’s attention.

Leon stares up at Chris as the larger man stomps towards the two of them, with a determined look on his face.

“I’m sorry, baby,” Leon says as he rises to his feet, grinning at his husband.

“I know you are,” Chris teases, reaching out to grab Leon’s waist, pulling the younger man against him, making them chest to chest.

Leon, out of instinct, throws his arms around the older man’s neck, hugging his husband.

They stay like that for a moment before they all get the fuck out of here.

“I’ll be damned,” Leon tells Sherry as he walks around outside the wreckage. Chris is following right behind him, talking to his men, staying no more than three paces behind Leon. “Can’t believe that anti-viral actually worked. I feel better than I have in ages.”

“Oh, thank God,” Sherry says, relieved. “I’m glad you’re okay.”

“We got a dose with your name on it,” Leon tells his adopted daughter. “You’ll be back in action in no time.”

“Thank you, Leon.”

“It would have been a lot smoother if Chris hadn’t been late to the party,” Leon teases, just to get under Chris’s skin because his husband is right behind him.

“I heard that!” Chris bellows, making Leon laugh, grinning at his husband over his shoulder.

“I’m glad he came,” Sherry says honestly.

“Yeah,” Leon says with a long sigh, staring at Chris. Oh, how he loves his gigantic husband. “Me too.” Then he scans his eyes around the scene, spotting Grace with a blanket wrapped around her, sitting in one of the helicopters, being handed a cup of coffee by a soldier.

“I’ll call you back,” he tells Sherry.

“Bye, Leon!” She responds cheerfully, ending the call.

Leon then steps over towards Grace, hearing Chris’s loud footsteps not too far behind him.

Leon smiles at that, then he focuses on Grace, stepping closer to her.

“It’s over then,” he semi-jokes, getting her to laugh a little.

“Yeah. Well, this really was our last hope.”

“Well, let’s pray that Umbrella hasn’t left us any more nasty surprises.”

Grace sighs, eyes staring down at the ground. “I wish we could’ve saved Emily.”

Leon walks closer to her, feeling Chris walk closer to him as well.

“Grace, I didn’t hit any of her vitals. She could still be alive.”

Grace meets Leon’s eyes. “What are you saying?”

“Maybe we can save her.”

Grace smiles, hopeful.

And that’s when Chris places his hands on Leon’s lower hips, well, more so Leon’s ass, pulling his back to Chris’s front.

It gets a laugh out of Leon.

Chris shoves his face into Leon’s neck, inhaling the shorter man’s scent.

Leon looks over at Chris, eyes wide. “Seriously, now you choose to do this?”

Chris grins against his neck.

Grace chuckles, looking at the couple in amusement.

“God, you’re ridiculous,” Leon says under his breath, shaking his head.

“You love it,” Chris bites back, literally biting at Leon’s neck.

“I do,” Leon says with a smile, melting into Chris’s hold a little, then he calls out Grace’s name.

The young woman looks up at him.

“You have my contact, you call me if you need anything, okay?”

She nods. “I will. Thank you, Leon.”

He smiles at her. “Of course.”

Chris squeezes at his ass cheeks, making Leon giggle lightly.

Grace never would’ve thought she’d see something like this coming from Leon. She doesn’t know anything about Chris so she has no opinion there. Well, he is a large guy, and a Captain, so he’s most definitely a very serious man. Guess they bring it out in each other.

Grace hopes to one day find that in someone.

The two men then walk away from Grace, Leon pulls his gloves off and lets them fall to the ground, revealing a shiny silver ring, one that matches the one on Chris’s finger.

Grace watches them as the two smile at each other, intertwine their hands, then they walk off, ready to head home.

•••

As soon as they’re home, Leon and Chris throw their mouths on each other, Chris lifting his husband into his arms, placing him on their dining table, ripping that skin tight shirt off Leon’s muscular torso.

Chris was so afraid that he wasn’t going to be able to see Leon again.

God, he was so scared.

“I thought I lost you,” Chris whispers into the blonde’s ear.

Leon tightly grips Chris’s shoulders, legs locked around Chris’s waist. “I know. I’m sorry. I love you, baby.”

“I love you too, angel. Now, c’mon, time to massage those old bones then fuck you until the sun comes up.”

Leon grins, pecking the taller man’s lips. “Sounds like heaven. Do you need those old bones massaged too, baby?”

Chris snorts, lifting Leon up by his sweet, plump ass. “It wouldn’t hurt. But later.”

Leon nibbles along Chris’s neck. “Sounds good. God,” Leon moans. “You smell so good. Missed you.”

Chris smiles, kissing the tip of Leon’s ear as he takes them upstairs to their bedroom. “Missed you too, sweetheart.”

Call them codependent or whatever, but two days apart felt like hell. At least they’re together again…until their next mission at least.

They are definitely going to make the best of it, as they always do.
