Chapter Text
The first time he noticed her , it wasn't dramatic.
It was just a moment, he had been stepping out of his car with the presence of a man who notices the smallest of details . His driver a man of loyalty bowed low as he got out of the car .
His mind half focused on the meeting upstairs . The head of the hotel rushed to welcome him as they acknowledged his authority. He welcomed him not only with respect but with fear because everyone knew the consequence of offending an Uchiha. And worse him the most unpredictable Uchiha member.
Itachi watched as the host sweat profusely as if he directed him towards the large door. Instructing the staffs to prevent any mistakes in the presence of Itachi Uchiha. With an unreadable face and a calm aura already used to the reaction he invoked within people . Being already prepared for the meeting , he straightened his black suit with a form of professionalism that was formed by years of suppressing any form of weakness . When something shifted at the edge of his attention. Laughter , light and soft cut through the tensed air .
He glanced over.
A group of students in uniform where gathered by the sidewalk , typical after school chaos they bring wherever they go .
Then he saw her , she stood out without trying to . The pleasant aura that surrounded her drawed him effortlessly in .
She wasn't doing anything extraordinary, just talking to a blonde her girl in the same uniform as she brushed a strand of soft pink hair behind her ear smiling at something her friend said . It was a beautiful sound to hear .
There was something about her , something real as she just existed in that moment. Trying out the ice cream her friend extended towards her . Being completely unaware of being watch .
Itachi realised he had paused .
That , in itself, was unusual .
He was a CEO , he ran on precisions , schedules and decisions that left no room for distraction.
He categories people by employees , partners , competitors. Predictable and efficient.
But this ?
He watched her for a second longer , before he deliberately looked away as if watching too long will burn down his concentration.
Upon being led by the host , the image of her stayed a little longer than he wanted it to. Not because she was beautiful , though she is . She seemed untouched by the world he lived in.
