I spun the wheel and got Guardian x Laa-Laa.
I was not big in the community in its prime, I was a little too young to fully understand English at the time of the fandom's peak but FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD they Guardian x Laa-Laa shippers were some of the more "chill" fans. (I cannot fact check this without using either Discord and go back years or... Use.... Amino.... Ewwww....)
To the actual ship!
I think it's a pretty good and logical ship. If LaaLaa wasn't infected or lasted longer they could've been a reasonable ship. (If we just ignore the whole "slapping her" route or the "telling her everything" route where there are obviously some very big problems.)
I've personally always seen Guardian as someone who needs a very strong personality to both keep in check and also keep himself grounded. In the campaign, LaaLaa is shy and scared of her nightmare. (It should've been Po or Tinky. Istg LaaLaa was the worst one for that role) LaaLaa in cannon would not be as good of a fit for Guardian as someone like Miles or Anne pre dlc... we do not talk about the dlc characterization.
If we go by how LaaLaa is depicted in the show however! She'd be a perfect fit! She's strong willed, a little pushy and she has a slightly mean attitude which would contrast well with Guardian's various different characterizations! (Except the mean one, LaaLaa would just one-up him.)
I'm a bit sad since there isn't really a lot of stuff between these two and the things that do exist often severely mis-characterizes Laa-Laa or makes Guardian buff for some reason?? Not like literally buff, but the most masculine, no nonsense type of guy ever which is wrong... The personalities displayed in game has one which is "no nonsense" but it's not really masculine or healthy towards LaaLaa (it's the one where he hits her.)
Rating: I'm a big fan of the ship, but the way the fandom has portrayed the two just turns me away from the ship,
8/10 when I do it myself.
5/10 if someone else makes it.
