The 11th Demon Lord, Jachi, destroys the Other World

Summary:

I have no idea what dark forces gave me this idea, but I decided to put it down on paper.

Work Text:

The 11th Demon Lord sat on his throne in the middle of a spacious hall, surrounded by hundreds of servants. His loyal Generals awaited orders, while their lord gazed at the massive gates to the hall. For six months, the Heroes, the last worthy defenders, had been attacking the remaining Lords, and Jachi was eagerly awaiting the Hero's arrival at his castle.

The life of a Demon Lord is rather dull. They all obey their King, but can do whatever they please within their own territories. There is no one in the world stronger than the demons, and therefore, aside from the other Lords, Jachi has no rivals in strength, though even many of them are no match for the 11. He would have defeated them all, but the influence and authority of the Byakuo King brings any demon to their knees, and Jachi respects his strength.

Days turned into weeks, and news of the Hero drew ever closer to his castle. It seemed he could already see the hero's squad with his own eyes, and he could simply fly straight to them and begin the battle, but such behavior was unworthy of a Demon Lord.

Dozing for a moment, Jachi closed his eyes when he heard screams.

"What is this?" an unfamiliar voice came closest to the demon.

Opening his eyes, the Demon Lord saw himself in a completely different place. A low, stone-brick room screamed poverty unworthy of a Lord. Crowds of people stood around Jachi.

Knights held swords and spears at the ready. A figure in a red robe stood directly next to the demon, clutching a book inscribed with magical runes. The female mage leafed through the pages, searching for answers to the questions that had arisen. "Did I-Did I make a mistake somewhere?"

People held their breath, and some fell unconscious from the encounter with what they had summoned into their world.

"What is this place?" Jachi's question terrified the people, and the guards began running for the exit when the demon suddenly appeared in front of a door half his size. "I asked a question!"

The demon asked calmly, causing the guards to fall unconscious.

"Useless." Jachi noticed the mage still conscious and approached her. "Human, if you don't give me answers to my questions, I will have no mercy."

"Y-yes. I-I. My name is Alexia. I-I-I am a mage!" the girl gasped, looking into the demon's eyes.

‘A mage, huh?’ Humans are the lowest living beings, capable of mastering magic, but they will never reach the level of demons.

"W-we are right now in the King's castle..." the mage continued speaking.

‘King?" She hardly meant the Demon King. I'm probably in the human base right now. They must have teleported me by mistake while playing with magic. Although even the thought of that disgusts me.’

"Right now. H-hero. Our fortress is being attacked by hordes of demons..." The girl ran out of air and fell to her knees.

"Demons attacking a human fortress? Then I should observe it." As the shocked girl watched, Jachi cupped his fingers and flicked her head, knocking the contents of her head onto the floor.

Breaking through the ceiling, the Lord flew through several levels of the fortress's dungeon, emerging on the surface. The vast human city of stone and wood was under siege. The three-layered defense of the walls had been breached, and the enemies were making their way ever closer to the castle at the center of the city.

Jachi watched the fighting in the city streets with his magical vision. The human knights were pushed back and torn apart by pig-like creatures, while flying lizards blazed in the sky, raining fire down on the roofs of houses and towers with archers.

"It truly is a human fortress, but isn't it too big? Humans hide in burrows like insects, and such a large city would be hard to miss," Jachi thought to himself. "I should join the fun; maybe I'll even meet the Hero here." The demon turned toward the castle and found the largest gathering of people.

Having destroyed one of the walls, Jachi encountered a group of knights and mages locked in the throne room where the King and his daughter were.

"Who are these!?" the human king shouted.

"I'm looking for Heroes. Do you have any?" The demon walked forward, ignoring the streams of arrows, fireballs, and spear strikes. Everyone in his path either lost consciousness or was torn apart by the demon.

"..." The King was clutching his daughter in his arms as Jachi approached them.

"It seems there's no one worthy of challenging me here either..." Sighing in disappointment, the Demon prepared to kill the people when someone answered.

"You need a Hero? I'm here!" Jachi turned to see a young man clutching a sword.

"So you're a hero? Show me your strength," the demon ordered boredly.

"First, let the King and Princess go!" the man demanded.

"So they're interfering with our fight? Good." Turning to the king, the demon crushed the father and daughter across the luxurious silk carpet spread out near the throne with a single blow.

"Y-you. YOU'RE A DEMON!" The human warrior rushed at the enemy, sword raised above his head.

"Yes, you're right about that. My name is the 11th Demon Lord, Jachi. If you don't like something, attack!" the demon said with a hint of satisfaction.

The sword's gilded blade struck the enemy, instantly shattering into hundreds of pieces. "W-what?" the hero was in complete shock. "A legendary sword..."

"What a weak attack. You lied to me." The demon's enthusiasm for battle quickly vanished, realizing the human would be no match for his opponent. Jachi quickly noticed that his opponent was dressed like any other guard he'd killed.

"This sword... the summoned hero was supposed to use it to defeat the Demon King attacking the city..." The hero gripped the broken weapon's hilt in shock.

"A summoned Hero?" Jachi considered. "The human mage said something like that just before I arrived."

"What?" the man exclaimed. "So you were the one summoned?" The realization sent the man falling backward, breathing heavily. Fear and horror clouded his mind, and he tried to run away when Jachi killed him, the throne room shattering.

"That was disappointing. Did he say something about the Demon King? I haven't heard of King Byakuo personally leading troops. I think I should investigate." Jachi flew out of the castle as the city was finally consumed by fire, and the creatures the locals called demons mocked the captive knights and civilians.

‘Such simple creatures. This is enough for their amusement.’ I'm even a little envious of the common demons.' Lost in his thoughts, Jachi crossed the borders of the human city and found himself right in the depths of the attackers' camp.

Among tents full of orcs, skeletons, and other monsters, the Demon Lord landed, scaring them away. "Take me to the King."

The creatures were a little confused, but a moment later they attacked the stranger, trying to strike him with claws, clubs, and magic. The Lord easily broke their ranks, staining the damp earth the color of their multicolored internal organs.

"Don't think I'll forgive your behavior!" Jachi continued slaughtering enemies as he moved through the camp. Neither the hordes of orcs, nor the undead, nor even the wyverns could stop him.

'I'm beginning to doubt Byakuo is commanding them. He wouldn't allow such behavior in his camp. Perhaps they are led by another Lord, whom the people mistook for the King? No, that can't be. Perhaps some Lord decided to rebel, declare himself king, and challenge Byakuo.' A smile appeared on Jachi's face. "Then I can kill this traitor!"

Reaching the largest tent, the Demon Lord hurled a fireball at it, instantly incinerating it.

"WHO DARE INTERRUPT MY REST!" A creature with a goat's head and four arms emerged from the ashes and flames.

Jachi couldn't recognize this Lord, but that was even better. "So you are the Demon King?"

"Who are you? How dare you wreak havoc in my camp!?" The King's raspy voice was downright unpleasant, even for the Lord. "Who are you?"

"So you don't even know who I am? What an upstart." Jachi smiled, adopting a fighting stance. "I've already introduced myself to another opponent, and I won't do it again. Maybe if you defeat me, I'll tell you."

"WHAT AUDACITY! I, THE DEMON KING, WILL DESTROY YOU!" The King, crossing his arms, created a magic circle, ready to attack, when Jachi closed in on him, punching right through the circle. The King was thrown back, further destroying the burning camp.

"Magic arrow!" Unleashing a dozen glowing blue projectiles, the King emerged from the rubble and soared above the battlefield.

Jachi dodged all the arrows, reaching his opponent. A thrust of his fist tore off one of his opponent's arms, surprising him.

"IMPOSSIBLE!" The King watched in horror as black blood poured from the wound. "W-wait!" He tried to stop the fight, but it was no use. The series of blows had left holes so quickly that he couldn't even use magic.

Jachi's expression changed from excitement to boredom. "This King is a real joke." How could humans fail to defeat him?

The King fell to the ground, trying to crawl for cover, when the Demon Lord landed on him.

"Don't! I forgive you. I-I will give you the human kingdom, just don't kill me!" the King screamed in pain.

"You are a true disgrace to all demonkind. It would be an honor to wipe you from the face of the earth." A fist crushed the King's skull.

Jachi was once again left with nothing. The boredom hadn't gone away. For a second, he almost thought about his life when, blinking again, he found himself on his throne.

‘What was that? Just a dream?’ Jachi thought to himself, when a strange voice appeared in his head.

"Hee-hee-hee. I've really entertained you!" a vile laughter filled the Lord's ears.

‘Nyudo…’ the 11th Demon Lord said with irritation.

"You're so tired, I decided to entertain you with hallucinations to alleviate your boredom! Oh, and by the way, he's almost at your gate!" laughed Nyudo.

‘Who is he?’ asked Jachi, wondering what he would do to the 19th Lord when he met him.

"The 11th Hero Hallow!"

‘So he's already here. Leave me alone!’ Jachi said rudely, severing the telepathic connection.

"The 11th Hero. Can you relieve my boredom?"
