Chapter Text
What most would probably never truly understand is that not all gods or goddesses truly cared about their children. They would sometimes come to the mortal plane just for fun and then return to their own realms without a care at all. When it came to Aviva she had lost her father young and she might never truly meet her mother. If the tales were to be believed then her mother was only allowed to contact her followers or children in certain circumstances. Which in the grand scheme of things meant for the most part she was handed to first the harpers then the druids when they couldn't handle her. No one really knew how to reign in her wild energy and by the time she reached her teen years they mostly stopped trying to make her behave all together. When she first bonded with an animal companion the rest followed shortly afterwards. Aviva found animals to be better companions then people who would never truly understand her. Besides when she spent most of her days deep in the woods she felt like her mother could be found just about everywhere and in a way she was close to her for a time.
In hindsight Aviva should of brought a more senior druid with her when she decided to connect with nature that was tainted by the blight. Someone who knew how to handle it much better then her. But she was proud and wanted to prove to the other druids that she was a capable healer all on her own. Instead she contracted the blight and the only cure for it could be found with the wardens. When she went through the joining the only thought in her mind was finding a way to heal the land after getting rid of the darkspawn. At first their first few battles ended in victories and it seemed like they might just survive the bigger one to come. At least until Duncan mentioned his suspicions when it concerned the archdemon being nearby and that this might just be a blight. Not wanting to panic anyone they decided to keep the information between themselves along with the knowledge that Duncan was starting to hear his calling. Aviva was just glad she would not be put into a position of leading the wardens if Duncan did fall in battle. Just the idea scared her more then any darkspawn.
Not much ever happened in Lothering until rumors about someone falling from the sky started to spread throughout the village. Some swore it was entirely made up while others were almost certain that the maker sent them someone to fight the darkspawn threat. Julius a local blacksmith was the only one who knew the truth of course. Finding a crater outside of his small home and what looked like a young woman within it. If that wasn't strange enough the armor she was covered in was unlike anything he had ever seen before. When he attempted to take it off he started to suspect it might be enchanted and could only be removed by her alone. So instead he built a make shift cart and slowly placed her in it worried he might injure her further. When the strange woman finally opened her eyes she asked him for water and he obliged her. After a few moments she moved to sit up and told him how she arrived outside of his home. While her tale seemed unbelievable Julius did not believe she was lying to him since she had no reason to lie in his opinion. The last question she asked him was how to reach Ostagar from Lothering and he watched her leave his home with no explanation or thank you. Julius just hoped she would reach Ostagar safely even if he still wondered why that was her destination.
Tala knew time was of the essence after she crashed just outside of what she figured had to be Lothering. Suddenly glad that before she found herself falling that her armor was enchanted and bound to her. If she was lucky enough to meet Dagna again she might just kiss her since the runes on her armor not only made it so the impact was absorbed but her armor could only be removed by herself thanks to them as well. While she didn't expect to end up in the past when she opened a rift in the fade it could be worse. Although she did quietly wonder to herself where the rest ended up. Thanks to her education she knew what this time entailed and what she needed to do in order to make sure the past did not repeat itself. Since time was of the essence she murmured a spell changing into the form of a hawk and hoping she wasn't too late. Little did she know that her arrival would set about a chain of events that would change everything.
