Jia Xichun quietly awaited as Don Quixote began to hum softly, Ryōshū closing her eyes and melding with the melody for a moment before starting in earnest. A young children’s song, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. But here in the moment, she found herself relaxing with the two.
“And if that horse and cart fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town.”
She had never imagined that Ryōshū of all people would know children’s songs. It was shockingly sweet, and the trio soon began to sing a few more together. Humming softly into the night.
