BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
The alarm rung loudly, a contrast to the silence filling the house. The house was never really loud at all, Well, it used to be full of life. Anybody could walk past his house and instantly have a smile on their face. It really stopped being so loud when dad left. Parrot never understood why adults had to bring down their children with them. The distant memory of his own mother trying to kill him was still in the back of his mind.. all the time.
Parrot jumped up, panic engulfing him. His head snapped from side to side, observing the room. When he saw he was safe, he finally let go of a breath he didnt know he was holding. He realized it was just his alarm clock, how fucking pathetic. So fucking pathetic.
Pathetic.
He never really knew why he got so scared so easily. Maybe it was the memory of bottles whooshing against his head. The cold breeze of it almost mocking him. He slumped back into his bed, all panic replaced with emptiness- or tiredness, Parrot could never tell. He never really thought of himself as a energtic person, he usually stayed quiet, He would stay so quiet his mouth would bleed from being so dry, so it wasn't weird for him to be laying his head on desks all the time or just zoning out. Maybe it was just that nobody noticed him. He layed there, staring at the celing for a while before dragging himself out of bed.
Parrot entered the bathroom before staring at himself in the mirror. Gosh he looked disheveled. He carefully opened the tap, letting the water flow. He splashed his face with cold water, it stung but he didnt really care at this point. He brushed his teeth, before combing his hair, though he gave up halfway through as the knots in his hair he had left unattened for months wouldnt budge. He couldnt believe summer was over, even if he did nothing but bed rot, it was like he had a wave of joy and peace wash over him before it all came crashing down in seconds. He knew he should be happy for the 1st day of school, yet he once again really didnt care. The school was always too too too loud
Parrot walked out of the bathroom and grabbed anything to wear, really. He quickly gathered up a white t-shirt and some trousers, atleast this could make him look slighly more presentable. He put on his clothes on, trying to avoid looking at the scars on his arms, wrists and shoulders. Fresh ones, old ones, deep and thin ones. He hurt himself because watching his own blood drip down his arm was the only thing keeping him from ending his own life. He loved the sting that he gave him and he would be devastated if he couldnt feel it once more. It was a horrible and pathetic attempt at a reason to live. Parrot instinctively looked in the mirror, dysmorphia washing over him. He quickly glanced at the floor instead.
He walked out of his room, the light stinging his eyes. He tried not to trip over bottles of alcohol and random things and substances he wasnt looking forward to investigating. Bile rose up his throat as he looked at rotten food and the ants and little insects tthat littered the floor. Those bugs were probably happier then him. His mom was on the couch, asleep. He couldnt believe how that old hag still sleeps at night peacefully. He slung his bag off his shoulder and went to school.

Wemmbu woke up peacefully, excited to see his best friend, Eggchan, at school again. Though his tranquilty was washed away as he realised he slept through all his alarms and was exteremly late to THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. How great! He groaned slightly before getting up quickly, not wanting to be even MORE late. He got up way too quickly and ended up crashing down to the floor, hitting his head against a sharp edge on his desk. He hissed in pain, his tail drooping instantly. His vision blurred slightly and the edges of his eye darkened. He felt a thick liquid run down his forehead. Blood.
“Fuck!” Wemmbu muttered before grabbing some bandages and rubbing alcohol, and quickly disinfecting the wound and rwrapping it carefully around his head. Blood soaked through the bandages, turning it red. It’ll have to do for now. He hid it under his bangs anyways.
He rushed to splash his face and comb through his long, purple hair. Careful not to touch the bandage. Wemmbu never really cut his hair, ever. He didnt do it for any reason, really, it just suited him more. He quickly grabbed something to wear, slipping into it and rushing out his bedroom door. He practically ran into the living room, seeing Rejoice on the sofa eating breakfast. He grabbed nothing to eat, he didnt really deserve food, before turning to his oblivious younger brother.
"Cmon bud! Lets go! Were gonna be late!" Wemmbu spoke softly to Rejoice, like he always did. His mother was at clubs or bars a little more nowdays, and his father was probably in his room smoking weed, so he would take care of his siblings most of the time.
"Okay!" Rejoice squealed with obvious excitement. He was only 7 after all.
Wemmbu grabbed his bag and rejoice, obviously, and quickly settled into his car. Despite being 19, he had only gotten his car a few months ago for his birthday. Wemmbu quickly drove to school.

Flame woke up earlier than usual, maybe it was because it was the first day of school, he didnt know. He didnt really bother doing anything today. He just changed into a hoodie and sweatpants, nothing special. He grabbed his bag, which was tossed in a corner, and slung it over his shoulder. His hand hovered over the door handle hesitantly , he didnt know if his father was drunk or high or mad or normal. It was like this everyday though, so Flame thought of it like it was normal by now. He decided to just run past his dad or something and walked out his room.
Flame opened his older brother (Mane's) room. Obviously he was still asleep.
"Manepear, wake up bro. Your finna be late." Flame whispered. Getting only a couple groans in response.
"If u dont get ur ass up-" Flame ripped the blanket off of Mane and dragged him out of bed.
"Dude! Whats that for! Im up!" Flame snickered in response and left the room.
Flame got his breakfast in peace, mostly because his father was happy this morning which was quite weird. He finished up his breakfast before seeing Manepear next to him. He walked out the door alongside his brother. His presence was comforting to say the least, he felt protected? In a way? It was weird.
