Chapter Text

It was a cold night in Seoul. The empty dorm lit by a single light in the corner. The others were out celebrating their rare day off. Yet there Seokjin was in the dim lit room looking at the door, waiting impatiently. Namjoon didn’t understand the concept of having a day off, so of course the workaholic he is, he decided to go to the studio to finish a song that he was working on.

No one was surprised, but when the clock was striking 2pm Seokjin started to worry. It was very like Namjoon to stay at the studio till ungodly hours, but normally he would call or text him to make sure he didn’t worry. The minutes went by and Seokjin decided that he had had enough.

He promptly stood, he had finally had it, and practically ran to the door. As he grabbed the handle he heard a loud crash on the other side. Seokjin sighed as he heard loud cursing from behind the door. Looks like he didn’t need to go to the studio after all.

Seokjin opened the door and leaned on the doorframe, Namjoon didn’t seem to notice, as he continued to pick up broken pieces of the ceramic mug Jin assumed he had dropped. Some time passed and Namjoon didn’t seem to notice him as he continued to swear under his breath and miserably failling at picking up the glass.

Jin cleared his throat and Namjoon looked up with a shocked expression. “oh hey hyung… “Namjoon stood awkwardly and rubbed his neck. “have you seen the time?” Jin stood with arms crossed obviously trying to look intimidating, and very much failing in doing so.

Namjoon would have laughed out loud if it wasn’t for the tears collecting in Jins eyes, he went to comfort the elder and Jin immediately pulled him into a bone crushing hug and whispered softly” I was worried sick about you Joonie” Namjoon returns the hug timidly, and whispered into Jins hair” I know, I’m sorry. I just got so caught up in work you know?” Jin pouted up at Namjoon, and hit him lightly on the shoulder. “No. I don’t know; you always call me!”

They stepped away so that they were facing each other, Namjoon lightly smirking as he looked at the older.” Did you miss me that much hyung?” those words earned him another hit to the chest, but he smiled as he pulled Jin tight once again. Jin stood frozen and Namjoon took notice. He pulled back slightly and looked at Jin both confused and concerned.” Something wrong?” Jin didn’t say anything, but continued to look at the ground, a slight blush creeping up on his face. “no I just... I don’t know. I’m sorry, you must be tired. Are you hungry? I’ll go make something.”

Jin quickly turned on his heel, and went into the kitchen. Only to be stopped by a hand on his wrist as he went to the counter to heat up the leftover dinner. Namjoon tucked on Jins wrist to try and turn him around, but Jin stood unmoving. “hyung look at me” Jin slowly turned around to face Namjoon but still refused to meet his eyes. Namjoon gently put his hand under Jins chin and lifted Jins gaze to meet his own. Jin stepped back and Namjoon looked at him confused.

“Namjoon…i… I realised something while you were gone… and…i…” Jin was trying hard to avoid eye contact, but Namjoon cupped his cheeks and said in a quiet voice “Jin, you know you can tell me anything, right?” Jins eyes flicked across Namjoons face but couldn’t find anything but sincerity in his eyes.

The next thing happened to fast to process. Jin leaned in, closing the short distance between them. Namjoon froze in shock, but it didn’t take long for him to respond. Jin pulled back, wide eyes clearly shocked of his actions, and Namjoons response. Namjoon smiled gently and leaned in to whisper in Jins ear.

“Took you long enough”
