Katsuki has been looking at him a lot lately; not only when he's speaking but all the time. They could be having coffee in a restaurant or spending time with their friends, and the pro hero's red eyes find a way to end up staring at the teacher's face.
They're friends... so Izuku doesn't find it weird at first until he catches Katsuki smiling fondly at him a couple of times.
It's not very common for the pro hero to smile so openly like that, and the weird thing is that he only does that at Izuku.
By the looks the pro hero's friends give each other, it seems they have already noticed as well. Izuku is not sure if the best thing to do is to ask them or ask Katsuki himself, but both things sound equally difficult at the moment.
Then, a lot of his students start talking about it too, not right in front of him, but in the hallways and sometimes they're so loud, the gossip reaches the teacher's break room most of the time.
Turns out they're not the only ones; most of people on Twitter and Instagram talk about it too because they have seen a couple of pictures of pro hero Dynamight apparently giving the "heart eyes" at a the UA teacher, and war hero, Midoriya Izuku.
After trying, and failing to convince his own students that it's not what it seems, Izuku decides to talk directly to his friend about it.
They're at a nice restaurant; they go out often, and Katsuki always insists on paying for everything they end up consuming.
Then, just when Izuku is about to ask, after spending a good time laughing at all the mistakes the villains made before getting easily caught by Katsuki; then, the pro hero takes a huge sip of his beer, stares at Izuku almost adoringly and says "fuck it" under his breath before cradling his freckled face and kissing him right on the lips.
It takes him a few seconds to react before kissing him back and pulling Katsuki even closer, he feels the smirk against his mouth before the kiss deepens.
Although they have to stop because Izuku reminds himself they're in a public space, and perhaps they have to talk a bit before keep going.
"I've always wanted to do that," Katsuki's smirk grows, before trying to chase Izuku's lips.
"That's why you stare at me?"
"I'm glad you finally fucking noticed, nerd; it's not like I was being subtle."
"So..." Izuku blinks a couple of times, trying to process all the information he just got from Katsuki. "Are you attracted to me?"
The pro hero rolls his eyes before cradling his face again.
"I'm in love with you, Izuku."
It takes him two seconds to process and another to kiss Katsuki again.
"I love you too," he whispers right before the pro hero pays the bill and carries Izuku out of the restaurant in his arms.
"Let's go to my apartment, nerd."
"To stay the night?" He'd be a lot more shy if it wasn't because he's as desperate as Katsuki.
"To stay forever."
"I like that idea better, Kacchan."
