Minako stared down at her feet, kicking some rocks. She didn’t know what to say. It was already pretty awkward between her and Ami. She asked Ami out, and now they were on a date at the park. “Soo..” Minako offered awkwardly. “Uhmm..” She looked over at Ami, who was reading her English book. “Are you even paying attention?!” Ami jumped. “S-Sorry Minako-Chan–!” Minako rolled her eyes. “I-I don’t mind..You want to go to the cafe instead?” She nearly begged. Anything to end the awkwardness.
“Sure..?” Ami agreed. Atleast she wasn’t the only clueless one. Minako shot up, which made Ami stand up, but ended up stumbling more than standing. “Let’s go.” Minako grabbed Ami’s wrist, and started walking. “And quit studying. Not now.” Minako added. “S-sorry Minako-Chan..” Ami stuttered.

“What flavor of ice cream do you like, Ami-Chan?” Minako asked. “O-Oh um..I like..ah..uhm..” Minako sighed. “We really are opposites..aren’t we..?” Ami smiled. “I guess so, Minako-chan..” Minako waved down a server, who just happened to be Unazuki. “Oh, Unazuki-Chan.” Minako tilted her head. “Hey Minako-Chan, Ami-Chan. What can I get for you guys today and– where are all the others?” Minako froze.
“We’re on a date.” Ami answered for her, which she nodded. “Oh! I didn’t know. Sorry.” Minako waved her hand. “It’s fine. Anyways, I’ll get the lemon icecream.” She turned to look at Ami, who jumped. “O-Oh! I’ll get the blueberry icecream..” Unazuki nodded. “Sure! Be right back.” Minako smiled, then looked back at Ami, taking her hands.
“I understand if you're not that good with dating and stuff Ami-chan. I don’t mind. I already understand that. I asked you out on a date because I already know you well, but I don’t want to be just friends anymore, because I actually like you. I’m sorry if I seem dismissive of you. Let’s turn a new petal together, okay?” Minako apologized, unlike her. “M-Minako-chan..it’s ‘turn a new leaf’.” Nope. Nevermind. Very like her. “A-Ahahaha! Very funny!”
“Minako-chan..” Ami sighed. Unazuki brought over their ice cream. “Lemon Ice cream for you, and blueberry ice cream for you.” Ami looked up at Unazuki and thanked her. Minako smiled, hiding her slight jealousy. She waited for Unazuki to walk away, before starting to eat the lemon ice cream. “So how’s volleyball?” Ami asked. Minako thought. “Pretty good..it's fun, I mean. I like it. How's the computer club?” Ami smiled.
“It’s nice. I get along well with the other members.” Minako nodded. “That’s good.” Lord, she couldn’t bear the awkwardness. “Sooo..Wanna go to my house after this?” Minako offered. “Sure.” Ami answered.

“Sl-Slow down, Minako-chan–!” Minako heard Ami shout behind her “Keep up, Ami-Chan!” She shouted back. But she suddenly stopped, nearly tripping over her own feet, as they reached her house. She felt Ami slam into her, knocking them both over. “A-Ami-chan..” She muttered. “I told you to slow down, sorry Minako-Chan..” Minako looked up to see Ami holding out her hand to Minako, which she took. As they went inside, Minako thought. “How about a sleepover Ami? I have tons of snacks and we could read manga together!”
“Okay Minako-chan..” Minako immediately started rummaging through the cupboards, pulling out popcorn and cookies. She hurried over to the fridge and pulled out some soda. “Here, eat and drink as much as you like!” She said to Ami while pouring herself a cup. She hurried up to her room and pulled out about five manga books for them to read together from her shelf, when she went back downstairs, she saw Ami drinking some of the soda, and eating a cookie.
She sat next to her and started drinking from her own glass, placing the manga on the counter. “Which one do you wanna read first?” She watched as Ami’s eyes looked over the manga, and she pointed to the third one. Minako laughed. “I like that one!” She flipped open to the first page and they read together as they snacked.
