Work Text:
Eyes of sin bore into him, into the bloodied breasts that were alien to his body. Ichor was now splayed along justice, muddying Gabriel's own reflection. This was his weakest moment, judgement was upon himself as wet muscle slapped onto the floor making for the gruesomest of sounds.
Putridness wavered throughout his body, skin crawling, pleading to be ripped off the bones in a ceremony of showing oneself. Before warning, chunky fluid gurgled within Gabriel's throat, reaching into the frozen fall. All that erupted along with disgustion was gurgles of pain, groans of exhaustion before inevitable collapse.
The discarded piece of himself sat there unpleasantly, almost staring at him for his violent act towards oneself. It sat silently across Gabriel’s quarters with justice tossed carelessly with it, sharing the same blood of its master.
Nothing was right, everything was thrown into darkness as Gabriel was thrown upside down into his own vein. Nude among the floor, helmet tossed aside long ago laid a vulnerable will, blood coursing down and uncompleted job. “Cowardly” rang through him, “Incomplete”, “Damaged”. It all swirled among him picking and pricking each sense of incorrection among his body, his voice, his role among everyone.
Gasps filled the room, hidden scars making recurrence in memory as scratches marked his body, a near enough pain to subdue urge. Nothing but stain, nothing but inconvenience among the highers, the council, God.
Justice met his chest again, vision linked with only something called rage as it cut through his skin just as it had many times before. But now was for reason, for disposition, with reverence. A continued amount of mass slipped out of him, protecting the image with spurs of blood. Pooling around the angel like a frame of gore.
Cold pointed metal of a cross now stung as it sunk into the bare flesh of his chest. A whimper of a laugh began, pain making the sound stutter. It echoed through the room, till only the sound of weeping hung.
Freedom flowed along his body, too much not to feel that hanging of guilt above him like a higher power. Something he would bear by force, that was the matter of this life. Risking your own for something you could not control. It was humiliating, and yet it felt like surfacing after being drowned for your entire existence.
