Chapter 1
It was one month after the day of unity.
Amity was painting Luz’s nails a sharp shade of purple to almost match her hair while she brainstorms ideas for a portal home. Doing something for her girlfriend helped her believe she was more than just a burden. But yet she still felt guilty about squatting in Camila's house.
Luz was lying on her bed staring at the bunk bed above which was where Vee slept. Sometimes Vee’s basilisk goop would seep through the mattress and leak onto Luz ‘s face while she slept.
Luz loved Vee but she wished Vee would take the hint and sleep on the bottom bunk.
She supposed though that she would need to clean thoroughly before sleeping on top.
Luz sighed loudly leaning back into her bed even more which Amity didn't even know was possible.
“ Luz, stay still if you want me to make your nails look nice you can't move around so much. “ Amity said with a warning tone giving Luz a hard stare. Luz had moved around about 6 times already and Amity always told her to stay still but it was like talking to a wall.
Luz sighed dramatically again but before Amity could roll her eyes in retaliation they heard voices yelling from the living room.
“ ugh, not this again “
Every night, or so it seemed, Hunter and Willow fought over who got to watch what on TV. It was always the same Willow was watching her Rom-Coms with Vee but Hunter wanted to watch his 2 hour long wolf documentaries with Gus.
“ JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO WATCH YOUR STUPID WOLF DOCUMENTARIES DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO INTERRUPT ME AND VEES MOVIE!!! “ a voice shouts across the room.
“ YOU GUYS ALWAYS STAY UP ALL NIGHT WATCHING YOUR DUMB ROMANCE SHOWS AND ME AND GUS NEVER GET TO WATCH ANYTHING!!” a second voice screeches.
“ WILL YOU GUYS STOP FIGHTING JARED IS ABOUT TO KISS ANNABETH!!!” Vee's voice is even louder than the rest.
“ Oh my Titan, living with them is such a nightmare sometimes..” This time it was Amity's turn to sigh loudly.
“ You stay here and let your nails dry, don't move. I’m going to go teach them a lesson.“ Amity rose up from the small pillow she was sitting on, which by now was completely deflated, and walked menacingly out the bedroom door.
But by the time she got there, only Vee was in the living room. Confused, she asked Vee where Willow and Hunter went.
“ Well Hunter launched himself at the remote using some sort of fighting tactic to break free of Willow who was grabbing his arm. “
“ Naturally, he realized he was screwed and ran at light speed into the basement. I don't know what they're doing down there, but it can't be good. “
“ Oh-Kayy..I was coming in here to teach you all a lesson about fighting in another person's home and how disrespectful it is but I suppose it'll have to wait…”
“ Wait, what were you going to do? “ Vee looked at Amity slightly worried.
As she should be. Amity thought.
The most she was going to do was nothing too violent, just turn off the TV and lock the remote in an indestructible ball of abomination goo.
She supposed it wouldn't be too indestructible though since she thought she had left Hunter in what she thought was an indestructible ball of goo at Eclipse Lake but clearly he was too powerful to be trapped inside of it.
She was still mad at Hunter for Eclipse Lake and how he so casually threatened her Girlfriend and took her key.
I guess now he's good though. She thought. It would still be hard to forgive him but she supposed she would try to be nicer to the poor kid.
Speaking of which he always ate her and Luz’s leftover food which had their names on it. No matter how many times she told him to knock it off he would always have the same excuse.
“ Sorry I didn't see your name, I was just hungry “
I mean she understood how he had barely eaten anything in the past but that was no excuse for eating the food of her Girlfriend. And her too.
Thinking of that reminded her that Camila had made chocolate cake for Gus’s birthday ( his favourite kind ) the previous week and that she still had her leftover slice in the fridge.
“Why if that little….” She summoned a goo spike and walked toward the kitchen.
“ Hey where are you going? “ Vee asked.
“ Not important. “
Once she got to the fridge she opened the door, looked to the top and to the left, and sure enough. It was gone.
Amity, still holding the goo spike, was filled with inexplicable rage at Hunter who had so carelessly taken her cake without permission.
She stomped fuming down the stairs, her face red from pure anger.
“HUNTER”
She heard a small whimper from below.
She suspected Willow was still down there too lecturing him on interrupting her and Vee but she didn't care she would get her revenge.
Just as she thought Hunter was sitting on the couch eating pringles while Willow was talking to him.
He saw Amity's goo spike as she was coming down the stairs and immediately dropped his can of sour cream and onion Pringles.
The worst flavour.
They spilt everywhere into the carpet which caused Willow to wince as she ran up to Amity to try to stop her.
“Amity, what are you doing!?”
“Hunter ate my food again and im tired of his excuses im going to make him admit he did it on purpose”
“But Amity..don't you think the spike is a little much?” She said looking worriedly at Hunter who was still whimpering on the couch like a kicked puppy.
“Willow, don't get in my way, he can't keep getting away with this! I'm not going to hurt him, the spike is just to make sure he knows I'm serious. “ She thought it was fairly reasonable. She would never hurt Hunter, as much as she wanted to sometimes she would never actually hurt him.
“ But Amity..” Willow stuttered.
“ Willow please move “
“ No but Amity dont you remember..Belos? “
It hit her like a train.
She didn't realize what she did until it was done.
Clearly Hunter wasn't scared of Amity. The goo spike had brought back some crazy trauma for him and how Belos would punish him with it.
“Ohh…Hunter I'm sorry” She put away the spike and sat next to him on the couch.
She could tell he was still remembering but he was okay.
“No it's okay..I shouldn't have eaten your cake. I didn't realize it was yours until it was already gone. “ He said, picking up his Pringles.
Even if it wasn't what she should worry about right now Amity couldn't believe anyone actually ate sour cream and onion Pringles.
“No it's my fault I knew Belos hurt you, I should've known better. I forgive you for eating my cake.” Even if it hurt her to do, she managed to forgive him even if it was partially his fault because it was mostly hers.
“Thanks..”
She noticed how he didn't say anything about forgiving her but she supposed he thought he probably deserved that. Even if he didn't.

All three of them had gone back upstairs and were greeted by Camila asking if they wanted to eat out tonight for dinner. Since they were tired they said yes and hopped into the car with the others.
“ Geez Amity, you were gone for a long time. What were you doing to them? “ Luz asked.
Amity forgot she even left Luz by herself in there for so long and immediately felt guilt crawl up her spine.
“Oh. I was uh- “
“ She was teaching us a lesson mhm “
Saved by Hunter.
“Well Gee I hope you weren't too harsh on them A “
“Nah she was fine “
This just made Amity feel even more guilty since even after she had triggered serious trauma in Hunter he was still covering for her.
“ Mom, are you sure this is legal? “ Luz looked at her mom who was currently cussing out a truck driver for going too slow even though she was going 10 miles above speed limit.
“Yes, of course it's a legal baby “ she said in reply while actively cutting off a grandma driving a jeep.
“O-Kayy….”

At last they arrived at the Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
Amity was very cautious about this thing humans called “ fast - food ” but Luz told her as long as she didn't order the Extra Spicy Hot Quadruple Taco Snack Meal With Extra Spicy Spicy Sauce she would be fine.
Once they had all ordered they sat down in a large booth.
To any outsider it must have looked as if Camila adopted all 6 of these children since they all looked nothing alike.
Well technically she had, but just until they could get back to their real families. Which was hopefully soon.
When their food came Hunter leaned over to Amity and said:
“ I promise I won't eat your food again “
“Or Luz’s? “
“Yep”
“Good”
