Chapter Text
The desert was finally quiet.....
Moments ago it had been filled with roaring flames, clashing weapons, and the thunder of magic. Now only the wind moved across the dunes, lifting thin streams of sand into the cooling air. In the rubble laid burning Spice, known to be the Great destroyer a now unconscious cookie with severely damaged limbs. The brave warriors of the golden Cheese kingdom cheered from the defeat of the Destructive beast.
[GOLDEN CHEESE POV]
I raise my spear in victory signal another battle won for the Golden Cheese kingdom. So much loss, though makes an opening for a fresh new start. I look around, watching my treasure honor and admire my awakened form. I was now stronger and more determined to protect my kingdom at all cost from the evils that roam earth bread. I spread my glistering golden wings and flew to the rubble the disgusting beast laid in. His body was crumbling, limb falling off and the smell of blood reeked in the area.
"My treasures, please assist me in getting this disgusting beast out of the rubble. Prepare a fresh new cell, this monster will rot in it until he crumbles." Yes your majesty her warriors respond, rushing over to start digging the beast out of the rubble. Soon enough they got him out. "Splendid, take him to the cell below the kingdom..ONLY provide him with water is that clear?" Yes your majesty they say as they dragged the beast towards the kingdom.
The warriors threw burning Spice in the cell and cuffed his hands, making sure he won't be escaping anytime soon. The cold cell had a mattress, bucket, and a small lantern. One of the warriors brought the cup of water and placed it inside the cell after they slammed the cell door shut and locked it twice.
I turn around to see my warriors return from the dungeon. "have you all taken care of the beast?" Yes! your Majesty the beast has been locked away. I nod.."Now my treasures, Join me we are having a feast for our victory!"
[BURNING SPICE POV]
I slowly woke up from my slumber, my dough cold and cranked "EVERYTHING HURTS!" I yell in anger. I look around my surroundings "where am I?!" I said to myself "THIS ISN'T MY TEMPLE!" my anger grew because of my confusion. "BET IT'S ALL THAT STUPID CHEESE BIRDS FAULT, OH WHEN I SEE HER I WILL MAKE SURE TO RIP THOSE STUPID WING RIGHT OF HER BACK AGAIN!" out of anger I tried to slam my hands on the floor but was stopped. I looked at my hands, they were cuffed. "WHOEVER DID THIS SHALL PAY!" I tilted my head back against the wall, staring at the ceiling with a frustrated expression. I looked around then spotted a golden Cheese flag against one of the cell walls. "So this is the famous Golden Kingdom prison..." he muttered. "I expected something more impressive." The chains clinked softly as he shifted his wrists.
Footsteps echoed down the hallway.
Slow. Confident.
The guards straightened immediately as Golden Cheese Cookie appeared at the entrance of the corridor, She stopped in front of the cell. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Burning Spice turned his head slightly, his eyes glowing faintly. "Look who came to admire her prize."
Golden Cheese crossed her arms.
"You should be grateful you're still intact," she replied sharply. "Most invaders don't leave my desert alive." Burning Spice chuckled under his breath, the sound echoing in the stone room."And yet here I am " he said. "Locked in a cage." He leaned forward slightly, the chains pulling tight. "Tell me something, Cheese Bird... are you keeping me alive because you want answers..." His eyes flickered with fire. Golden Cheese's expression didn't change, but her gaze hardened. "You're alive because I decide you are." He looked back at her, grin widening slightly. "Aww, how kind of you Cheese Bird..BUT THAT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT I HATE YOUR GUTS AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO WATCH YOUR KINGDOM CRUMBLE TO DUST!" The guards shifted nervously behind Golden Cheese. But she didn't move. Instead, she stepped closer to the bars. "If you think you're escaping," she said calmly, "you're welcome to try."
Golden cheese turned away from the cell making her way out of the dungeon. "Leaving already?" he called lazily. Her steps slowed for just a moment. The guards glanced nervously between them."You came all the way down here just to stare at me?" he continued, lifting his cuffed hands slightly so the chains rattled against the floor. "I thought the great ruler of the Golden cheese kingdom would have more to say." Golden Cheese stopped. Then she spoke without turning around. "You're a prisoner," she said coldly. "Not a guest."
Burning Spice smirked.
"how weak.."... "Oh weak you say" she said slowly. "Let's say I might have dug a little into your little history...Harald of Change " she said slowly. For the first time, the chains around Burning Spice shifted as his hands tightened slightly. Golden Cheese let out a small laugh."Oh? That got your attention." She walked a little closer to the bars. "you went from that to this monster how sad." she mocked. "SHUT UP YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME!" Burning spice looked down at the cold stone floor. "Aww did I hit a nerve..." "Stop talking like you know anything about it!" he snapped.
The guards behind Golden Cheese jumped slightly at the sudden outburst. Burning Spice's shoulders were tense, his breathing uneven. The glow in his eyes flickered wildly, like flames struggling in strong wind.
Golden Cheese's expression hardened, but she didn't interrupt.
"You stand there," he said, his voice shaking with frustration, "reading old stories and pretending you understand me." His hands tightened in the cuffs. "You don't." His voice cracked slightly. "You know nothing about me." For a moment he looked away, his jaw clenched tightly. For a moment, he didn't move. Then his shoulders tightened. A small drop slid down his cheek before he quickly wiped at it with the back of his cuffed wrist. He turned his head away from the bars, clearly trying to hide it. "just...leave me alone"
A tear slipped down his cheek again, and this time he didn't bother wiping it away. Across the bars, Golden Cheese Cookie watched silently. Burning Spice let out a shaky breath. "I'm tired" he said quietly. Golden Cheese didn't answer right away. He laughed weakly, though there was no humor in it. "Of being what everyone expects me to be." His eyes stayed fixed on the floor. "They see fire and destruction" he murmured. "So that's all they think I am." The chains shifted slightly as he leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees. "I'm so tired of it." more tear fell..."Sometimes I wish I could just crumble" he admitted softly."Just... turn to dust and be done with it........YOU KNOW WHAT CHEESE BIRD! YOU WIN GO AHEAD AND KILL ME, I KNOW YOU WANT TO DO IT SO POINT THAT SPEAR AND END MY DISGUSTING LIFE!....I don't care anymore."
Golden Cheese's eyes narrowed. Burning Spice looked away again, voice dropping."I'm tired of fighting...The world would be better without me burning everything down." Burning spice quieted down. Golden cheese went back to her chambers.
