Chapter 1: Hallway Wars & Hidden Feelings

Chapter Text

it was a normal day... but Marry and Daniel were vising for no reason

Hallway (M&M chaos begins)

“You took my pen"

“I did NOT take your pen, Micah.”

“You literally always take my stuff.”

Michelle crossed her arms. “Maybe if you didn’t leave your stuff everywhere like a lost toddler”

“I don’t—”

“You do.”

“I don’t!”

From nearby, Shiloh leaned against a locker, whispering dramatically to Daniel,
“They’re basically married.”

Daniel nodded like a proud documentary narrator. “A classic case. Stage one: denial.”

Mary sighed dreamily. “They’re my favorite.”

Meanwhile—

Micah held up a pen. “Then explain THIS.”

Michelle blinked. “…That’s mine.”

“…Oh.”

“…Wow.”

“Your annoying.”

“*gasp dramatically* I am not!.”

They walked off in the same direction anyway.

Shiloh: “Slow burn is burning.”

Cafeteria (PD&J nonsense)

Judah plopped down next to Patience with a tray stacked way too high.

“Guess how many cookies I got.”

“I don’t care.”

“Wrong. You do care. It’s six.”

“You’re going to get sick.”

“Worth it.”

Patience tried to ignore him. She really did.

But then he slid one cookie onto her tray.

“I don’t want it.”

“It’s for emotional support.”

“I don’t need emotional support.”

“Everyone needs emotional support cookies.”

She stared at it.

…then took a bite.

Judah grinned like he just won the lottery.

Patience immediately looked away. “Don’t make it weird.”

“I’m not making it weird.”

“You’re making it weird.”

“I’m literally sitting here.”

“…Exactly.”

Across the room, Daniel whispered, “She likes him.”

Shiloh nodded aggressively. “She SO likes him.”

Cooking Class (Elijah & Lila battle)

“Move.”

“No.”

“You’re cutting that wrong.”

“I’m not cutting it wrong.”

“You’re—Lila, give me the knife.”

“No, because you’ll mess it up.”

Elijah stared at her. “I literally cook better than you.”

“Debatable.”

“It’s NOT—”

Lila slid in front of the counter, blocking him completely. “I’ve got it handled.”

“You always say that!”

“And I’m always right!”

He tried to reach around her—she elbowed him back.

“Stop hovering!”

“Stop hogging!”

Their teacher walked by, took one look, and kept walking. “I’m not getting involved.”

Five minutes later—

They were silently working side by side.

Perfect rhythm.

No arguing.

Just… working together.

Shiloh (watching through the doorway): “Wait… why is that kinda cute.”

Daniel: “Because they’re in denial.”

Library (Jala misunderstanding era)

Josiah sat across from Gala, pretending to read.

He had not turned the page in ten minutes.

Gala glanced up. “Are you… okay?”

“Yep.”

“You’ve been staring at the same page.”

“I like this page.”

“…It’s upside down.”

“…I knew that.”

Gala blinked.

Josiah internally screamed.

Across the table, he quietly pushed a snack toward her.

“For you.”

She looked surprised. “Oh… thanks.”

He nodded, trying to act normal.

Gala smiled a little. “You’re really nice, Josiah.”

“Yeah, I’m just… nice. To everyone.”

“…Oh.”

She looked back down at her book.

Josiah immediately regretted everything.

From the shelves nearby—

Shiloh whispered, “HE FUMBLED.”

Daniel clutched his chest. “That hurt me.”

After School

Everyone somehow ended up outside at the same time.

Micah and Michelle were arguing again—but quieter now.

Judah was trying to balance a bottle on his head while Patience pretended not to watch.

Elijah and Lila were debating recipes again.

Josiah was standing near Gala, clearly wanting to say something and absolutely not saying it.

Shiloh turned to Daniel and Mary.

“This is painful.”

Mary: “But adorable.”

Daniel: “We must not interfere.”

Shiloh: “We are 100% interfering.”
