Chapter 1: Silver Weathervane

Chapter Text

For years the kingdom of light has banished and shunned sorcerers of all kind, killing them off. Most ran to the woods beyond the 4 kingdoms, the others not making it

The people of the Kingdom of light were told that the sorcerers had started a war and were never to leave the kingdom, incase of being harmed by a sorcerer.

Most people believed their divine king, however, it was a tale Tsukasa Tenma, the prince of the Kingdom, could not get behind. He often walked in the woods, he would see witches and demons and sorcerers, many were kind. But as he grew, his walks in the woods died out, his memories of kind sorcerers and demons faded away, believing in the stories of his father.

The golden sun rose once again, but the day was better than any other day, at least for Tsukasa. He was going on his first mission alone! It was to find and hunt a sorcerer by the name of Rui Kamishiro. He used corruption to attack the hope, harming one of their queens, Nene Kusanagi.

Tsukasa bowed as he waved his Kingdom goodbye, he would soon be back with the sorcerers bounty gone. Of course the money was not the main reason of this killing, the world would be better ever so slightly.

He trenched through the thick wood, the trees bending with the wind, fog winding up the path until it was no longer clear. Tsukasa had heard rumours of this wood, mostly the younger maids gossiping about brave knights they thought were attractive for surviving it. He, himself, had never cared for the eye of a lady, the only time he could remember having a crush was when he was younger, around 13 maybe, with someone he met on the woodland edge. Tsukasa forgot about it and the girl, he assumed it was a girl of course, when he focussed more on his princely duties. A cabin lay in a perfect clearing with the sun shining on the silver weathervane, bringing Tsukasa to stop his remembering.

'Perhaps' Tsukasa thought to himself 'this person knows of Rui Kamishiro'. Bringing himself to the door, Tsukasa knocked firmly and waited for two beats before the man who lived their opened the creaky door of his cabin.
