Tanaka Nori was a 22 y.o art student at college who had a huge crush on her friend and roomate, Zero, who was studying Tech Science.
They met when he moved to the campus. It took weeks for him to talk to her peer like another friend (because he was too shy to take the initiative) by the half of the 2nd semester, both were good friends. They studied together, they talked to each other almost every recess and if they're relatively free they'd go out together with one's friends or viceversa.
When the 4th semester started, the Japanese woman started noticing him. There was no way back after that.
In her eyes, Zero was a goddamn muse. That pale skin, his dark purple hair, the way he smiled at her when she said something about his interests (Literature, for example) and.. well, she loved so many things about him.
Everytime he left to the respective classroom or at the library during free time she'd stare at him like he was Aphrodite reincarnated in a European 20 yo.
In the other hand, Zero did have feelings for her too, but he didn't tell, because he saw himself as someone who was "not that attractive" (?) and maybe Tanaka just saw him as a friend.
On her smoke breaks (which were on weekends, public holidays, etc.), the jet black thought in ways of confessing her feelings to the nerd but she didn't want it to be too much. On a Wednesday afternoon in the middle of a study session before the exam week, she internally shouted "Eureka!"
By midnight, as she had decided to write a note that said
"ね、ゼークン授業後に話せますか？重要な話なんです" (Hey Z can we talk after class? it's important)
Thursday, 4 PM
They had to study the Area Ratio Formula because during the test next week the students were going recite it in front of the professor in privat
When they finished two hours later, the note was given to Zero which he perfectly understood, however, he was quite nervous of what would happen.
7.30 PM
Zero went to the place where they agreed to meet, which was the garden that was on the 3rd floor and saw his roomate standing there. She seemed.. happy? sad? whatever
"So, why did you want me to come here?"
...
She opened her mouth
"ゼロ.. ただ、あなたのことがすごく好きだと言いたかっただけです。 君は僕を幸せにしてくれるし、4学期からずっと君のことが頭から離れないんだ" (Zero.. i just wanted to say that i like you, like a lot. You make me really happy and ever since the 4th semester i couldn't take you out of my head.)
Silence.
Zero was a straight up tomato at this point, he never thought that Tanaka Nori, Tanaka motherfucking Nori said that she liked him
So he ran into the art student's arms, crying with joy
and trembling said:
"T-Tanaka.. I never thought you'd say that.." taking breath, he blurted out: "I like you too.."
Then, he felt something in his forehead..
He got kissed there! and that was enough to leave him like a big mess.
"What? Cat got your tounge?" she giggled
"Girl stop.. ToT" he tried to say.
"Heheh, alright Z.." she calmed down and looked at him like there wasn't anything else to watch but him.
A little blush and tears were left
"あなたがここに引っ越してきてくれて嬉しいです" (I'm glad you moved here in the first place)
A strand was moved from the other's hair and the distance got shorter
"まさか私が君のようにたいな人に恋をするなんて思ってもみなかった?" (Who would've imagined I'd fall for someone like you) She looked striaght into the european's eyes.
Just before she finished getting closer she remembered something:
"あの、愛よ? 眼鏡を外していただけますか?" (Uhh.. Love? Would you mind taking your glasses off?)
Zero was completely mesmerized at this point he even did as she said without thinking "ok.." he got close enough to take a closer look at her and suddenly his mind went blank:
As he had his first kiss, he got grabbed the waist by one hand and the other was on his head, feeling his hair getting caressed. It lasted for 10 seconds and guess what? it was fucking worth it.
"Hey, it's getting late, we should be at the dorms by now" Zero said in order to try to put himself together after what had happened some minutes ago.
はい、行くよ(Yeah, let's go.)
10 PM
After 4 cups of coffee each one, almost "dying" after that one caffeine rush at the third cup they finished the projects they had for each assignment.
"Thank god it's over."
"絶対に.." (Absolutely).
"I'm going to sleep, goodnight Tana"
"おやすみ"(Good night)
Before falling asleep he winked at her
"cute." He thought before closing his eyes
