Casi looked out over the bridge of the victory class star destroyer Unshakable, thinking of all those who doubted him and thought he was crazy. Blasty Casi they called him, taunting him for his idea to go beyond the outer rim. Now they would fall to their knees and praise him once he returned.
His thoughts were interrupted by the beeping on a computer below him. “What is it?” he called to the ensign below him,
“Hyperspace object detected Sir, impact in 25 seconds”.
Sithspawn, Casi thought. “Disengage hyperspace and tell me what is out there.” He ordered.
The beeping intensified as the ensign called out “ten seconds”. Suddenly the tunnel of light ahead of them shrank into stars as Casi saw what the object in hyperspace was, a small ship the size of a Corvette.
“Does it have an IFF code?” Casi asked.
“Negative," replied lieutenant Enilda. “Open up a radio frequency and find out who is on that ship!” Casi ordered.
After a few seconds of static the frequency clears and Casi announces “This is admiral Casi Srevabe of the star destroyer Unshakable. Announce yourself or be destroyed.”
Crackling through the second ship replies “This is captain Saam Felix of the Dragonship Neoma. We are charting a course to new galaxies, what nation or planet are you from?”
“What in chaos is a dragonship?” Casi yells out.
“If I tell you, will you answer our questions?” the dragonship responds.
“if you answer ours.” Casi responds. “Affirmative.”
They send back “A dragonship is how we travel the solar system. It is based around the fifth iteration of the moon dragon, Neoma, she is the power for our bytes, these little components that when they are powered become standing objects. we can tell you more but we'd like to be aboard to see what else the universe thrusts onto us.”
Casi ponders this for a moment, thinking about what they are talking about. Dragons? In space? And energy powered bytes,which are basically nanobots? “Tell them to come aboard. I want to see this dragon.” Says Casi. Moments later the ship is pulled into the hangar bay with Casi and Enilda watching. They watched as the entire ship melted down into a dragon with six riders on it's back. Casi walked over and each of the crew unclipped from their magnets and started walking towards them.
“So this is your dragon?” Casi asked.
“Yep” Saam replied. Casi marveled at the White dragon about the size of a shuttle as it wrested on it's two wings. It had horns the size of laser canons, and when it opened its mouth it had teeth the size of blaster rifles.
"What kind of tech do you have on that ship?” Casi inquired. "Oh, let's see.” Saam replied “We have hyperdrive, shields, torpedoes, and ships we can send off independently of the ship in case of an emergency or a fight.”
“Interesting. And the dragon?” Casi asked.
“oh, she provides the power for the entire ship.” Saam responded, happy to find someone so interested in his dragon.
By now, Casi was almost back to the elevator so he invited the crew up to the bridge. Once they arrived he told Enilda to restart the hyperdrive.
“Where are you going?” asked Saam.
“We are exploring for the galactic empire,” Casi said.
“Wonderful.” Saam said with a smile “Now you can answer my questions. So first up, what is the galactic empire? What is a star destroyer and how big is the galactic empire?”
Casi realized that he had to explain, so he said, “The galactic empire is the government that rules the galaxy. A star destroyer is the pinnacle of engineering with 10 quad turbo laser batteries, 40 double turbo laser batteries, 80 concussion missile launchers, 10 tractor beams, and 4 squadrons of TIE fighters. And as I said earlier the empire rules the galaxy.”
As Saam started to ask follow up questions but Enilda interrupted saying
"Sir, we're nearing imperial center."
Casi needed to ready himself for the planetary fortress that is imperial center.
