The loud ring of an alarm clock vibrates throughout the room, awaking the slumbering actor from his sleep.
A soft half-yawn, half-groan escapes the blonds lips as he slowly opens his eyes, his eyelids still heavy from sleep.
Tsukasa uses one hand to rub the sleepiness from his eyes as he awakes, his other working to remove the comforting yet heavy weight on his chest.
Tsukasa lets out a soft groan as he tosses Rui's hand off his chest, heaving himself up to sit against the frame of their bed. Turning off their alarm, Tsukasa takes a look at what time it was.
It was slightly pass 8 in the morning. Perfect, Tsukasa thought.
He could take a shower and make some breakfast to spoil Rui with in bed when he woke up.
Rui had been working extra hard lately. So surely Tsukasa was allowed to spoil his husband on their only day off?
Tsukasa looks over at the aforementioned man, his eyes softening upon looking at his lovers peaceful resting face.
Rui's shoulder length, purple hair, sprawled across his pillow, framing his peaceful sleeping face. His skin was pale and there was some soft bags under his closed, yellow eyes. His lips parted slightly as he snored softly, something the young director rarely did.
" You've been working hard, Rui, " Tsukasa gently presses a kiss onto his lovers forehead before slipping a platypus plushie under his arm. " Sleep well for a while more, you deserve it, " Tsukasa gets off their bed and properly covers Rui with their blanket.
Rui shifts slightly in bed and Tsukasa can't help but smile at the sight. How lucky was he to have ended up with Rui of all people?
Tsukasa gives Rui one last glance before he walks towards their shared closet, shuffling through their clothes trying to find something to wear. The young actor decides on a white turtleneck and a simple pair of jeans for the day.
Grabbing the two pieces of clothes, the young actor heads into the shower and begins getting ready for his day. A star like me needs to ensure his cleanliness no matter the day! Tsukasa thinks to himself.
It doesn't take long before Tsukasa finishes getting ready. A simple shower and his more-than-10-step skincare routine is really all a star needs to stay fresh for the day!
Tsukasa glances over at Rui as he gets out of the shower, his lover still fast asleep in bed. Tsukasa combs through his hair and quickly styles it, picking up some lip gloss to apply on his lips right as he finishes.
Perfect, Tsukasa thinks to himself as he screws the lid to the lip gloss on and sets it back onto the vanity. Thinking about it, he should probably buy Rui a bottle too seeing how chapped his lips were at times.
Tsukasa walks over to their bed to pick up his phone, and his gaze is once again drawn to the sleeping director as Tsukasa slips his phone into his pocket. Rui was already effortlessly beautiful awake, but the way he looked when he slept was something Tsukasa could never get tired of looking at.
Heck, Tsukasa could even feel himself falling for Rui all over again whenever he sees that beautiful sleeping face of his.
Knocking himself out of his trance, Tsukasa walks out of their bedroom and into the short hallway of the apartment they shared.
Their apartment was fairly big, and Rui and Tsukasa never intended to buy such a large apartment for just the two of them. But when Tsukasa couldn't have stopped thinking about the place for days, Saki said that having such a large space would be perfect for a piano and his parents even chipped in saying that the house was perfect for when the two were to get kids.
And while both Saki and his parents were right, what Rui said was what sold Tsukasa on the idea. " As long as Im with Tsukasa-kun, I don't think any place will be too big or empty for me, " Rui had said with that absolutely breathtaking smile of his.
Tsukasa remembers ringing up their housing agent the very next day and moving into the place not even a week later.
Tsukasa smiles to himself as he walks into the kitchen. Its been almost a year since they got the place and almost two since he got married to Rui.
Heading to the fridge, Tsukasa grabs everything he needs to make breakfast and places them on the kitchen counter. He reaches for the shelfs next and grabs some plates as well as a pan.
Minutes pass and it isn't long before the kitchen begins to overflow with the sweet scent of pancakes and the savory smell of bacon.
Tsukasa plates the food and places them aside, quickly making sure to wash and clean up all the things he had used to make breakfast before placing the plate onto a small, portable table.
All thats left is to grab some utensils and two cups of fresh orange juice, one cup for him and another for Rui. Tsukasa considers grabbing another set of utensils but decides against it, they could simply feed each other.
Smiling to himself proudly, Tsukasa makes sure to wash his hands first before taking off the apron he wore, folding it neatly and placing it on one of the counters.
At last, Tsukasa grabs the portable table and begins to make his way back to their bedroom. Tsukasa chukles when the sight of Rui still tucked and fast asleep in bed comes into vision.
Placing the table onto the ground, Tsukasa begins trying to shake his beloved husband awake. " Rui, Rui, wake up, " Tsukasa gently nudges Rui, his only response a muffled groan from Ruis lips.
The blond sighs fondly at the sight, because as childish and silly Tsukasa found Rui to be at times, It was also one of the few parts of Rui Tsukasa found incredibly cute.
The way Rui tossed and turned in bed slowly, and the way the corners of his mouth curled as he slept, it all reminded Tsukasa of a big, fluffy cat.
" Rui, I made breakfast~ " Tsukasa leans in closer and whispers, allowing his fingers to play with Ruis hair and caress his skin. " Its our off day today Rui~ wake up so we can do something together, okay? " Tsukasa hums as he lets his fingers roam Rui's face, tracing the many features that Tsukasa had grown to love about his husband.
Tsukasa sighs after a few moments of silence, having no choice but to lean in closer to Ruis face. He can start to feels Rui's breathing against his cheek and his heart begins to race.
He's kissed Rui awake a hundred times now, and hes probably kissed Rui almost a thousand times in general now. And yet, somehow his heart is still racing as if he was a teenager again, kissing the love of his life for the first time.
Tsukasa can only giggle softly before he closes the space between them, his hands gently caressing Rui's face as he kissed him.
It takes no time before Rui's eyes crack open, the feeling of familiar lips and the sweet taste of Tsukasa's lips fill his senses.
" Mngh... Tsukasa-kun... " Rui mumbles slightly when Tsukasa finally pulls away, his words sluggish as he wakes up from his sleep.
" Good morning, my love~ " Tsukasa hums softly as he places another chaste kiss onto Rui's lips again. Rui giggling slightly when he feels the slightest touch between their lips.
The faint smell of breakfast fills his nostrils as he looks up at Tsukasa, the star already washed and prepped for the day. " Did you make breakfast? " Rui simply asks as he props himself up on the bed, wiping the sleep from his eyes.
Tsukasa nods, " Yes I did!! " a somewhat proud smile appears on his face as he lifts up the small table and places it right above Rui's legs. " Looks good doesn't it? " He says, striking a small pose as he reveals the delicious looking meal he had prepared for Rui.
Rui can only giggle softly at his husband's antics; aside from maybe his slightly curlier hair, not a single thing has changed about Tsukasa. " I bet it tastes just as good too, It's my Tsukasa-kun's cooking after all~ " Rui hums in a somewhat sing-songy voice, scooting over to make space for Tsukasa on the bed.
" Y-You can bet it does..! " Tsukasa exclaims proudly as he sits down, his voice a tad bit shaky as he's taken aback by the sudden complient. Rui chuckles.
With their shoulders pressed against each other, Tsukasa begins cutting up the pancake and bacon as Rui watches, a soft smile on his face.
" Whats the occasion? " Rui simply asks after a few moments of silence, Tsukasa about to lift up a piece of the pancake to feed Rui.
Tsukasa hums for a moment as he looks at Rui, " To thank you for working so hard! " Tsukasa simply says as he prods Rui's lips with the pancake. " Now eat, will you? Im only gonna be feeding you once, "
" Ah, of course I'll eat~ " Is all Rui can says after chuckling softly, the director parting his lips for Tsukasa to pop the pancake in his mouth.
Rui chews for a few seconds before swallowing, " Tsukasa-kuns cooking truly is the best in the world, " Rui sings Tsukasa praises before planting a soft kiss on his husbands lips.
Tsukasa's ears redden and a faint blush appears on his face before he begins cutting up a piece of bacon. " O-Of course it is! I am the worlds future star after all! " Tsukasa proudly declares, his voice stammering ever so slightly at the front.
" Fufu, You sure are, my star~ " Rui brushes aside a few locks of blond hair, planting a chaste kiss on Tsukasa's forehead. " You're the brightest star in the world, " the smile that appears on Rui's face priceless as he watches Tsukasa turn redder.
Tsukasa scoffs playfully after hearing the nickname, his face turning redder by the moment. " S-Shut up and continue eating your food Kamishiro! Otherwise I'll be putting carrots in our dinner later! " Tsukasa shoves the piece of bacon into Rui's mouth as he stutters— He was convinced Rui knew what the nickname did to him!
" E-Ehh... But thats such a cruel thing to say T-Tsukasa-kun...! " Rui feigns sadness as he begins wiping away those crocodile tears of his, " You can't do this to me... huhu... " He sobs.
Tsukasa can only roll his eyes as he watches the Oscar winning performance his husband puts on— a show he's seen many times now over the course of dating Rui.
" Just eat your food... " Tsukasa sighs, placing a piece of pancake in his mouth as he glances at Rui. The director still in the middle of his performance, this time in the second act— the puppy eyes.
Tsukasa shakes his head and looks away, an attempt to eat his breakfast in peace while the most beautiful man on earth was batting his eyelashes at him.
Just why in the world did Tsukasa decide to marry him?
" F-Fine... no carrots for dinner... " Tsukasa finally relents, sighing as he fed Rui another piece of bacon. " For tonight atleast.. " He mumbles as he watches the bright smile that appears on Ruis face, the one he wore whenever he won in something against Tsukasa.
" Fufu, That's fine with me~ " Rui hums as he leans his head on Tsukasa's shoulder, the director knowing all too well how easy it'd be to sway him the next time Tsukasa threatened to subject him to such torture.
Tsukasa sighs and rolls his eyes before feeding Rui another piece of the fluffy pancake. " Now eat your food, " He scolds softly, his other hand running through Rui's purple locks.
A few minutes later, the two had finished up their breakfast and Tsukasa was about to get up to wash the dishes before he felt two arms wrap around his waist.
" Tsukasa-kun~! " Rui whines as he pulls Tsukasa closer to him, the blond tightening his grip onto the miny table. " Lets stay in bed for awhile more...okay? " Rui bats his eyelashes, those puppy dog eyes revealing themselves once more.
Tsukasa can only sigh as he looks at Rui, his heart racing as he took in the sight that was Kamishiro Rui. The way his eyes sparkled like the stars and the way his eyelashes perfectly framed them. The way his messy yet somehow stunning hair fell across his ethereal face.
" F-Fine... " Tsukasa caves, not even trying to fight it as he sets the table on the floor, careful not to drop anything. " Only for a few minutes though! I was planning to take you out on a date today... " Tsukasa looks at Rui, his face flushing slightly at the mention of a date.
Rui blinks once, then twice as he looks at Tsukasa, the director finding himself getting lost in the sunset eyes his lover had. He can't help but smile.
" Of course Tsukasa-kun~ " Rui chuckles happily as he pulls his husband down. " Where do you want to go? " their fingers intertwining as Rui dragged Tsukasa under the sheets.
" Hmm... " Tsukasa hums softly, allowing his arms to wrap around Rui's body, embracing the man he had loved so dearly. " I was thinking maybe.... maybe we could visit Phoenix Wonderland? I heard the Wonderstage just got a new group of actors... " Tsukasa suggested as his fingers combed through Rui's hair.
" Thats perfect~ " Rui said as he pulled Tsukasa in for a kiss, his chapped lips meeting Tsukasa's soft one.
" Thats where our story started after all, "
