Extra stood still, watching Evouari fight with Napa. He would be helping the training session soon, he would switch out so Napa could go to a council meeting. Extra felt a wave of dizziness hit him, he stumbled and put his hand on the wall, blinking hard.
That was weird.
He looked up, making eye contact with Napa. The other looked at him with concern. Extra shook his head, he was fine.
“Alright, that’s enough Evourai. I have to go, the rest of your time will be spent with Extra.” Napa spoke
“Where are you going?” Evorai asked
“None of your concern.” Napa said, moving to the door behind Extra.
Napa stopped and shoved Extra into the wall. At least that’s what it looked like to Evorai.
“Are you good to train him?” Napa said, his voice soft and staring dead into Extra's eyes.
“Yeah.” Extra said, staring at Napa with an eyebrow raised.
“Don’t do anything stupid.” Napa said, a bit of worry in his eyes
“I got it.” Extra said, his voice a little louder so Evorai didn’t question what they were saying.
Extra would have to talk about how Napa could be protective without shoving him into a wall.
He watched Napa exit before turning to Evorai.
“What was that about?” Evorai asking
“Nothing come on.” Extra said
“Where is he going?” Evorai pushed
“I mean this I’m not in the mood so either take out your sword for training or I’ll stab you.” Extra said, his voice holding a small tone of exhaustion
Evorai hesitated before pulling the sword.
They started fast, trading blows and blocks. The more they continued the more everything felt too heavy. The more his head spun.
Extra felt the sword connect with his shoulder and he barely held back a cry of shock.
“I’m sorry! I- you normally block those!” Evorai said, his voice full of regret and concern.
“It’s- it’s fine-“ Extra said, he blinked his vison darkened slightly.
“Are you sure? I can-“ Evorai began
Extra felt himself slump to the floor. His word tilting as he coughed. His throat hurt, his head spun. He didn’t want to be here anymore.
He watched Evorai turn him over and move his mouth.
Everything was too loud and he couldn’t make out what the other said. He coughed again, his throat was killing him.
This was where he died. Evorai would prove right here he didn’t want to be in the Vikings and kill him right here.
Where was Napa?
Extra blinked, when had he closed his eyes? He could faintly tell that his shoulder was injured. His head spun too much and his ears rang too much. He blinked again.
This time his eyes stayed closed. He was going to die.
_______________
Extra blinked his eyes open, everything felt heavy but he could hear again. His eyes scanned his surroundings, this wasn’t his house. He was in Napa’s room.
“Are you stupid?”
Ah. So Napa was here.
“No?” Extra croaked, looking to his right making eye contact with the other.
“No? No I think you are. You almost got yourself killed. You passed out in front of him. He could’ve killed you!” Napa said, his voice harsh
“It would’ve been fine..” Extra tried to defend.
Napa chuckled
“You had a fever of 103.8. You were stabbed through the shoulder.”
Extra winced. Okay, maybe it was kind of bad.
“I- I thought you had a council meeting?” Extra said, his voice cracking slightly.
“I left.” Napa said
“Why?”
“You were hurt.” Napa said, crossing his arms
“You’re my right hand, and I may not show it but.. I do care about your well being.” Napa's voice was still hard but also softening.
“I’m sorry.” Extra mumbled tiredly
“That’s to be expected. It was a clean through and through from Evorai’s sword.” Napa began
“You had your fever which didn’t just happen so we’ll have to talk about you lying to my face.” Napa said, his voice soft as he slowly relaxed knowing Extra was awake.
“Evorai didn’t kill me.” Extra mumbled
“No. So either he really has changed and joined us, or he’s trying to use this as a way to convince us he’s a part of us.” Napa said, leaning back in his chair
“Mm.. what do you think?” Extra mumbled, tiredly
“I think he’s a big liar.” Napa shrugged
Extra chuckled coughing slightly
“Apparently he does feel bad about stabbing you though.” Napa said
“Does he?” Extra said, blinking
“Yeah, I could see it in his eyes.” Napa said
“Mm. What was the meeting about?” Extra said, voice small
“It was dumb. Talking about killing Evorai and how we should’ve done it already. Sharpness is so cocky! And we couldn’t come to an agreement about anything! Then I fled because you got injured.” Napa ranted
“I mean can you believe that?” Napa said, looking over to Extra.
Napa blinked.
Extra’s eyes were shut, his lips partly opened a slight snore coming from him. The other was asleep, either from the potions from earlier or from the knowledge of safety.
Napa.. Napa didn’t like seeing Extra hurt. He also wasn’t a fan of Extra lying to him but he was sure they could clear it up.
Napa had planned to leave and go chew out Evorai but.. he figured there was no harm in keeping the other a little company.
Napa sighed, leaning back and putting his legs on the edge of the bed. His eyes slipping shut.
Extra was okay.
At least until Napa chewed him out for lying to him.
