lifering pov
he was finishing his patrol around the area while it was raining, as the saftey team member with the best water resistance he volunteered to take the shift to make sure that everyone was inside. "Lifering!" Suitcase yelled as her and cabby ran up "no one can find box shes not in any buildings in town or the mansion according to knife" Cabby informed him. "I'll find her! You two get inside before this storm gets worse and we'll head to the closet building" lifering informed running off to look for box. " message us on your pager when your safe!" Suitcase yelled after them.
"BOX!" Lifering yelled against the wind as it picked up, he was getting concerned box's cardboard can't handle this rough of rain, he needed to find her before she gets hurt. "BOX WHERE ARE YOU!" "LIFERING?!" He heard a voice call from by the lake. Lifering started running and found her taking cover under a tree from the rain. "What happened why aren't you inside?!" Lifering asked taking a single use poncho out of his travel pack for her. " i was sitting by the lake writing and I must have fallen asleep by the time I woke up the rain was alot" box explained as lifering led her to the nearest building which was the restaurant. " the doors locked how will we get in box questioned , lifering lifted up a fake rock where a key was making box give him a questioning look. " TK leaves it here because nickel has a habit of losing the main key on his closing days" he explained as they went in the restaurant, lifering found some clean table clothes and wrapped one around box before turning the oven on for heat. " sooo you know where tea kettle keeps her spare key huh?" Box questioned with a smirk causing lifering to blush abit. "We...may have come in here after hours when we dated to get privacy" . "Lifering I'm shocked didn't think you had it in ya!" Box said punching him in the shoulder.
A hour passed as the two were trapped, "so..why were you at the lake? I thought you hated it there" Lifering asked as they sat in the kitchen by the oven. " ... I was trying to get over my..less then rational fear of it.. I thought after getting out of that void my fear would go away...but every time I'm there I'm just..back at that day and..the accident...like I'm drowning in the lake and no one's coming to save me.." box admitted curling into herself. Lifering scooted closer " im sorry...that must be difficult to deal with...I cant pretend I know what that's like but...I want you to know I'd be there..and I'd always try to save you" box smiled abit "thanks lifering..that..helps" " and..next time you go if you don't wanna be alone I'll go with you " he offered with a awkward smile. Abit of time passed and box was napping so lifering looked around in the cupboards and fridge finding stuff for pasta. He started chopping the onion and garlic for the sauce as the noodles cooked. he finished the food and lightly nudged box awake, as the two sat in a booth the air was light and relaxed a nice change of pace compared to hotel life ." I didnt know you cooked" box complemented "I dont do it often I mainly learnt because while tk is a great friend her cooking iss..less then ideal sometimes" "whyd you two break up anyway?" Box asked. " Oh normal things, we just realized we worked better as friends and tk was realizing she wasn't really into romantic relationships and I'm happy she's learning about herself" lifering explained with a shrug though a slight sadness remained in his eyes " im sorry lifering , I know you cared for her" " I still do , tk will always be one of my closest friends that won't change because we're not dating anymore, besides now I can spend more time with the saftey authority and hanging out with people like you, that makes me happier then any relationship" Lifering explained smiling at her. "I enjoy spending time with you too Lifering, I'm glad suitcase recommended i join the saftey team" box told him.

suitcase ,oj and cabby hurried to the restaurant to check on the two after the storm passed and found box asleep in a booth covered with a tablecloth with Lifering on the ground leaning against it also asleep. " good their safe , I'll go check on the on the mansion residents to make sure nothing happened to them" oj whispered as to not wake the two before heading out. Cabby and suitcase look at the two and smirked at each other
