3 Times Rosemary and Sienna Were Together + 1 Time They Weren't (for a very extended time)

Summary:

It's the beginning of Year 7 at school, where an influx of new students is just arriving for their orientation day. Rosemary has been studying here for a couple of years now and is rather keen on making some new friends, which just so happens to include a very special Sienna A. Well, special in the way that they probably have the 'tism, but that might just be the fuckass fringe talking.

Is this the beginning of a new, flourishing friendship? You'll have to keep reading to find out, unless your name happens to be Sienna A, in which case... you already know how this goes.

Happy birthday, Sienna!

Chapter 1: First Impressions

Chapter Text

I know what I said about wanting to make new friends, but looking back on it, I think I may actually have been lying to myself. Talking to people is the worst. I don't know how I did it back in primary school. Either way, I didn't really have much of a choice when I went to school on that fateful day, ready to face the new students who were coming to my school. Why anyone would willingly come to that school is beyond me, but I assume they didn't have much of a choice.

I saw that the first 'ice-breaker go socialise with people' activity was in the art room, and internally groaned. I bloody hated art, probably because I sucked at it too, but oh well. Unbeknownst to me, though, that activity would be where I met who I now consider my closest friend. I find myself thanking whoever made that

Upon entering the room, I saw some of the brown kids I had met a bit earlier, and I was ecstatic that I didn't have to sit with random people that I probably didn't even like either. I genuinely don't even remember what we did in that art class. Perhaps it was clay structures, or those 4-colour presses to make pop art (or whatever it was called, I don't know!).

Then I saw her face (now I'm a believer!), and thought to myself, "Wow, what a fuckass fringe". This is with hindsight, of course. I don't really look at physical appearance when first meeting someone. Rather funny looking back. Their hair has grown much since then, but I do miss the memories associated with that brown, shoulder-length hair that she would hack at in the bathroom with scissors. I always did think that was a very rash thing to do, especially during school time, but she didn't seem to have any qualms about it. I always did admire how carefree they seemed, seeing as I was a lot more stuck-up about things. I also had anger issues. Don't know what was up with that.

ANYWAY!

I learnt her name was Sienna, and very quickly, the other brown girls, Sienna, and I, formed a little friendship group. We'd hang out near the smaller basketball court in the middle school area, right behind one of the maths classrooms (Mr Noack, you'll never be forgotten... LOL DORA) But just note, I'll refrain from mentioning those other people, since they don't deserve the light of day, but unfortunately, they are bound to show up again a bit later. In much funnier ways, I promise.
