<TheMostMayo> WAIT
<TheMostMayo> didn't want to live in the same world as<d3rLord3>
"No!" Avery cried, slamming his fist onto his desk and letting out a soft sob. "I- I could have- we could have t-though of a way to save you- Derek you-"
The young adult leaned onto his desk, muffled cries coming from his shaking body.

The new years celebrations finished early into the morning, just outside of Avery's dorm room. Chatter filled every corner of the dormitory, yet no one thought it was odd that Avery was no where to be found. Avery was an odd person compared to the rest of the college. She mainly stayed in her room, either playing Skywars or sleeping. Avery wasn't the most popular person on campus, either. In fact - if you asked nearly everyone - they would all say they didn't know of an "Avery".
Yet it was New Years, and though fireworks went off in the night sky, and music was playing just outside, here Avery was... sobbing for a person that never existed.
<d3rLord3> Until next time friend
Derek stared over the ledge for what felt like an eternity. Maybe it was guilt, or maybe the dark expanse made the throbbing in his head slightly less painful.
Finally, Derek moved his mouse and walked back into the centre platform, addressing the King himself.
<d3rLord3> As for you
<d3rLord3> You idiot
<d3rLord3> Isn't it ironic
<d3rLord3> That a king loses to a lord
<d3rLord3> You lumping moron
As the eye slowly disintegrated, Derek could feel his mind slipping away with it. Even staring at the screen, which ten minutes ago would have eased the pain, now caused a splitting ache just like looking anywhere else.
Derek normally had an 'absurdly high pain tolerance' as was put by others, but even with that, he couldn't help but scream one last time as he succumbed to the relief that was waiting for him at the other side.
Derek slouched into his chair, what looked like to be blood trickling from his eyes as a bright glow illuminated his room.
What a wonderful start to the new year.
