Chapter Text
The world is light and full of buzz; classmates laughing, teacher trying to stop them from talking, footsteps from outside by kids just arriving and everybody being in their own conversation.
As the scene carried. The sunlight pierced through the window at the back of the class, presenting warm light on the classmate's faces.
Kris, a quiet kid always in trouble when they're with their friend Susie; just as the same but more chaotic and more threatening. The two giggled as they wrote lewd notes on the desks of each other they only stopped when the teacher yelled at the whole class to quiet down. So they stopped stretching their backs while still finishing the touches of their drawings as they tried to shut their mouths from laughing.
Class carried on as usual. Kris clicked their pen curiously looking around their bland faint yellow walled classroom as others paid attention to the teacher, Kris stared at one place of the wall while still clicking, zoning out from the boring lesson.
They only thought of one thing: going to the dark world, it's become a routine and a joy to be in. Ever since being engaged with fights, friends and aching moments, Kris and Susie had been yearning to go back. Not to have adventures but to escape from their reality for just a moment; ever since the disappearance of one of Kris's close friends had vanished, they obviously needed a break from all of the news pulling their heart strings when reminded of events..
The class ended making Kris jump from their seat. Susie already had their bags on both of her shoulders, she mischievously ran out of the classroom already with Kris's bag as everybody else crowded the door. They yelled for Susie as well as also tripping from rushing out the door. It was recess so they both killed time by waiting in front of the closet waiting for the right time to enter their escape world. While waiting, Kris and Susie talked about what cool things they're gonna do; Annoy Ralsei, Visit the King and annoy him, explore cyber city and especially getting some food. But they knew it wouldn't go as planned. When did it ever?
"Hey Kris, Susie!" A faint feminine low voice called out to them. It was Noelle: awkward, joyful and awfully shy with Susie. The girl waved as she walked past them while the pair waved back a person was next to her: Berdly, an interesting guy, very geeky but changed for the better. (The annoying part of him.) He waved to the pair too but didn't say hi, must be from the headphones he was wearing.
Time passed
And passed.
It was 12:30, almost class. The pair stood up and stared at the grey, rusting locker in front of them, "God damn I forgot how nervous it was to enter." Susie sighed at the thought: it was the start of a tragic but adventurous story when they discovered the world. Kris looked at her and nodded. Susie gripped on the knob, twisting until it opened shortly, they stared at the dark abyss for 3 minutes.
Then they jumped.
