Chapter Text

It was not an ordinary day today- Sakura was sure of it. She woke up today, feeling as if something big was going to happen today, making her jumpy all day.
Of course, this didn't go unnoticed by the others. Naruto had asked her if she was well, to which she agreed, and told him that, "Yes, I am well, Naruto. No need to worry."
She doesn't need to worry. She was probably being paranoid. It was spring, the weather perfect- sunny with the slightest wind- and there were flowers everywhere, especially the cherry trees, which were just about to bloom soon. Her friends were all with her. Well- almost all. Ino and team 10 were gone for a mission, and Hinata had to accompany a journey with her father, for whatever reason it was, she hadn't told Sakura.
To ease Sakura a bit, Naruto suggested going to the training grounds with Sai, after Sakura had refused on going to Ichiraku for the 3rd time this week. As the team were on their way- Sakura went a slight unease, feeling like something- or someone- was watching her.
_________
The training definitely helped her, distracting her of her thoughts. Naruto and Sai had both teamed up on her, keeping her busy until night and giving her no time to think about feeling or superstitious thoughts. They parted their ways as they walked out of the grounds, saying their goodbyes.
"Don't feel down, Sakura! I promise that I will make you happy, no matter what it takes- after I get some sleep." Naruto cheekily said.
"You should get some sleep, Ugly- I read that it is important- especially for the working mind." Sai had heard of her duties tomorrow of accompanying Lady Tsunadae for a new spinal remedy.
"Thank you. It's important you two get some sleep too- especially for the mission you are going to. Naruto, don't just binge ramen, and get sleep. Sai- I don't need to worry about you. Have a good night." Sakura walked away quickly towards her home- ignoring the whiny tantrum Naruto was throwing over how she needed to "worry" about Naruto, but not Sai.
It was a long day, and as much as she was grateful for Naruto and Sai's intentions, their training had only temporarily eased her unease. She was also very tired. As someone who was immensely good at chakra control, she was able to restore her chakra on her way home.
Sakura sneaked through her window- it was well past 9 o'clock, and her parents would NOT be too happy if she woke them up. Her parents had all kinds of crazy rules, underestimating what measures Sakura had to take as a kunoichi, one that trained day and/or night. They couldn't understand that she may have to come home late, or leave home early, to train with her sensei and help other people.
Her room was dark- shadows of her comfort space being illuminated with the moon. Sakura quickly changed, not needing to turn on the lights. Her room was fairly- no, more than fairly, clean. She rarely stayed home, unless she was sleeping, or needed a place to focus and store more chakra, so she never had a messy room. Her room looked as if it had been vacant for a long time- which, fair enough, it had. She had been sleeping at the hospital for a couple nights, too busy with work. But tonight, she felt she needed the comfort of her bed- maybe it would ease her worries? Hopefully, Sakura thought.
Since her room was clean, with minimal furniture, she was easily able to move through her room in the dark and walk over to her bed. Her bed was simple, but cute. It was a twin bed that her parents saw no reason to change (it was quite spacious for her, just really old), with pink covers, and a white fluffy blanket. Finally- time to sleep, Sakura thought.
_________
Sakura jolted awake, a layer of sweat on her skin. Is this another panic attack? Sakura thought. No- it can't be. What would I even be worried about? I just had a nightmare. It was her usual- everybody leaving her, feeling useless as they walked away from her, spilling harsh words to her as they did, but this one was different. He was there- saying the meanest words, making sure it hurt. Of course it would hurt- he knew her inside and out, he knew the exact words, exact actions to hurt her, more than anyone. Sure- her parents judgment may hurt, and Ino calling her names while others lightly laughed hurt as well- but never, in a million years, would she ever expect Sasuke to hurt her the most, by leaving her.
She was not one to assume the worst from people, especially from him, never from him. He was cold, as every boy who went through what he did should be like. He had every reason to treat this village with anger, disgust, with pain no one knew. But how could he, he, leave everyone, leave her, right after Orochimaru hurt him. Why did he run to him. Sakura wanted to scream at him, to cry, to never forgive him, EVER again, for leaving her. For leaving Team 7. They had finally become a real team, working with each other- they weren't the same people who had different goals, making them an uneven team- they were a team who wanted to protect their people, or so what she thought. She should have seen the signs- all those silent replies that could have meant a thousand words, and that acting- she hated, absolutely despised his acting- acting as if he was fine, as if all he needed was to kill his brother in order to feel better. She wanted to open his eyes, scream at him that one day he would regret killing his only blood relative- but she knew he wouldn't. He was stubborn like that, just like she was with her love for him.
Sakura let out a breathy sigh- trying to keep hold her tears in. Fresh air, Sakura thought, I need fresh air. Sakura slowly got out of her bed, trying to keep her heartbeat stable. As she grabbed her coat, she noticed the picture frame of Team 7 on her windowsill. It was laughing at her like a cruel joke. She reached out, her stubby but delicate fingers shoving the frame downwards, making sure that the photo wasn't facing her. She opened the window, feeling a slight breeze in the clear night.

As she reached the gates of Konoha, she started concealing her chakra, and making sure to be as quiet as possible. Of course no one would be able to figure she left- they either wouldn't be able to track her for her amazing chakra skills, or they simply won't care to check. Sakura had come to peace with that, but it was still hard to act like it didn't hurt. At least she could rest in the trees tonight, surrounded by nature and the gentle wind, stare into the endless skies and their stars, freckling all around the moon, with no one bothering her.
Sakura raced through tree branch after tree branch, winding through a little path until she landed on the tallest branch of the tallest tree in the area. It would be nice to stare up at the sky with no branches blocking her sight, while also being able to see all the trees from below, making sure she was completely alone. With a sigh, she sat down on the branch, her back leaning on the tree trunk, as she looked up at the skies. Astronomy had always been a topic she kept close to her heart, but in recent years, she had not been able to learn more about the recent discoveries on it, or any fun facts that may have been updated. She had always been a "nerd" when it came to astronomy, being able to name the different phases of the moon, name the different constellations and share to others of the history behind them. That felt like so long ago, which, it was. It had been a long time ago. Too long for her liking. Maybe she should take a break in the future to catch up with their recent discovering.
She lazily looked up at the stars, the little blue-but-not-quite mixed with -pinkish-red hues that came with the blinding, big stars, as well as the dull, little stars. she closed her eyes, trying to get a thought out of her head. The blue-red hues were starting to remind her of her and Sasuke's hair. Sasuke had dark raven hair, but in the sun, she could always have little glimpses of navy, often driving her crazy, having not figured out if he ever dyed his hair or not. No- Sakura thought subconsciously- he would not be interested in something like that.
What are you thinking about? Inner Sakura- her consciousness, asked.
Something I want to forget, so badly. So, so badly. Sakura suppressed a sigh. There was no point in showing any emotions to this topic- there was nothing she could do. But she was alone- no body to witness her cries, so, maybe it's okay to let her emotions out for once. Maybe then she could stop feeling anything towards the topic at all. That had to be the worst lie she ever told herself.
He would never come back- especially not for me. Sakura looked up, trying to suppress her tears, as they stubbornly rolled down her cheeks. She quickly covered her face with her hair, an old habit she got from when she was younger- to protect herself from being seen as a crybaby from her bullies. She tried to wipe her eyes, but no matter what, tears kept leaking, like blood from a stab.
She whimpered a little bit- this hurts more than a wound- she thought. She had a feeling tonight- one that she was not sure how she felt about.
He's here. I know he's here; he's coming. So, she waited for him, like she always did.
She could pinpoint chakra very well- which is expected of her, she was the one of the best (if not best) chakra controllers. She could feel his chakra coming closer and closer, at first, confident, but getting more and more hesitant, as is he was nervous.
Gosh, he's trying so hard to conceal his chakra. She almost wanted to laugh. Too bad he always forgets to conceal some of it.

Finally, when she could feel his chakra a couple trees away, she spoke up. Sakura thought she should be the one to speak first, since there was no way he would try to talk to her first. He was probably trying to stalk her, Sakura thought.
"You're here, Sasuke-kun."

_____

Sakura could feel the hesitance in his movements, the small hitch in his breathing realizing she knew he was there. So, he was planning on stalking me. Sakura thought. She was a little amused, however, she was still clouded by her negative emotions to realize that.
" You can come out, I'm sure I won't be able to hurt you in any way." Sakura started straight ahead, keeping her emotions at bay. She hasn't seen him in about 2 years, and he suddenly shows up to stalk her, why? She wants to know, but doesn't want to ask. Asking can result in her showing her emotions- which, she now realized that her cheeks were still a little wet from her tears. She quickly wiped them away, feeling the slight stickiness the salt from her tears had left. She blinked a couple of times to make sure her eyes were dry, and took a deep, suppressed breath, careful not to look like she needed to stable herself just to see him. As faced up slowly, and closed her eyes. Nobody was there.
Maybe she has hallucinating it- but she was sure that she had felt- and feel his chakra right now. Is she really being paranoid right now? Maybe she is? She closed her eyes, moving her hand up to her temple, a light green chakra illuminating her face. She couldn't find anything wrong, however her breathing started to quicken slightly as she began to panic. Am I starting to lose it? I can't find anything wrong. Am I going crazy? Please, I need to save people, I can't let anything happen to me if I want to save others.
Sakura's fingers started trembling, and it started illuminating a stronger green light, trying to find something that could be making her feel this way. All that seemed to do was heighten her pulse even more. She couldn't keep up anymore. She started to breathe short and uneven gasps through her mouth. Her chest- why did it feel like that? Was she having a heart attack? She can feel the blood pumping, as if she ran 10 miles, while also being electrocuted.
This isn't funny anymore. Sakura grabbed her chest, right where her heart laid, and flowed chakra through her fingers. Why isn't it working? WHY ISN'T IT WORKING? "W-why?" She gasped, squeezing her eyes shut, her tears flowing like a dried out river. Sakura could feel herself getting weaker and weaker, sleepier, and sleepier. Please…no..no.. Sakura's breathing slowed, finally stabilizing until what felt like hours.
"Sakura-k-" She heard his voice- a whisper. She tried snapping her eyes open, but it took a little effort to actually open it. No one was in front of her, he was not front of her. Sakura tried to breathe, but it came out like a strangled whine.
A slight breeze came through, and suddenly, Sasuke was in front of her, bending slightly to crouch down in front of her. Why did he look worried? Why was he worried? Sakura wondered, then looked down. Oh.
She looked like a mess. Her clothes her wrinkled from grabbing it so tight from her episode, and she could already imagine what her face looks like right now. She could imagine her hair slightly tangled, her cheeks wet with tears, nose red, mouth trembling with slight gasps of air coming out. With that, she quickly closed her mouth, and forced herself to not frown at his emotions. He too, could feel emotions, she reminded herself.
Sakura slightly moved her head up, to take a good look at him. Sasuke had grown alright. He was probably taller than ever, especially compared to the last time. He was crouching, but she still came up to just below his jaw. His hair didn't change though, but it was slightly shorter than during the chunnin exams. Most of his child-ish features went away (not that he had many to begin with). His jaw seemed sharper, and he looked slightly underweight, probably from the strict conditions he had been putting himself through- probably for training. He had to slight wrinkles between his eyebrows, and slight bags under his eyes, evidence that he had been concentrating a lot, and frustrated a lot too. One thing that hadn't changed, was his eyes. They were the same- and though she had learned through her medical studies that eyes were the one thing that rarely changed throughout one's life- she still found it quite shocking. It had such gravitational powers, that she had to rip her eyes away from his, with a lot of force too.
"You haven't been taking care of yourself, have you?" Sakura whispered. Of course that was the first thing she said. How could she not- she cared too much about these kinds of things. She felt him move, sitting so close to her that she could feel their knees touch.
"You haven't either." His voice almost betrayed nothing- but she could hear the slight quiver of his voice, as if he was so nervous, as if he cared about her too.
Sakura frowned, trying to hide her face, feeling her tears starting to form.
"Sakura-k." Sasuke repeated, this time, it was just above a whisper, but not at a "normal" volume either. She refused to look up- how could she? She was barely holding it together.
She heard him sigh, and then she heard some rustling- and when she opened her eyes, she saw that he had moved closer, with each of his legs on either side of her. His hand was hovering above hers, as if he was trying not to hold her hand, but at the same time trying his best not to touch her. Sakura let out a breathy laugh, though it did not sound like it did. It sounded like a slight whine, mixed with a sigh. She moved her hand, grasping his, and finally looking up.
As soon as she looked up, her tears started flowing. She could not stop them. She held on to his hand tightly, relieved that he was safe, and that tonight, he was with her- that tonight, he was hers.
Sakura moved up her free hand to try and wipe her tears, and felt his other hand reach out to do the same. Sasuke's hand was gentle- too gentle. How did his hand feel so much better than hers? She didn't know how. Sakura slowly put her hand down, letting Sasuke wipe all of her tears, like he should've done 2 years ago.
Sakura felt a bit hysterical- she didn't know what to do. Should she laugh? Should she cry? Should she be mad at him and start yelling at him? She didn't know.
"Sasuke-kun.."She gasped, as if she couldn't believe he was there, in front of her, looking as if he was going to cry? She gripped his hand really hardly, making sure she wasn't imagining it. "Sasuke-kun." She felt the name roll out of her tongue, getting used to saying it after a long time.
As if she finally realized he was here, her eyes widened and looked up at him, this time, not caring if his eyes pulled her into his gravitational power or not.
"Sasuke-kun." She said, not whispering anymore. "Oh my-" She moved forward, balancing on her knees to hug him. Yup, that was him. She could definitely feel his hair- so soft in her hands. She could smell the air and shampoo on him, a little stale (she guesses he showered in the morning). And she could definitely feel her body pressing his as she holds him closer, too scared for this to be a dream.
The water works started working again, her tears quickly staining his clothes. She held him tightly, while he softly held her back, not sure how he was supposed to hold her.
"Sasuke-kun….oh my gosh- Sasuke-kun…you're here.." Sakura whined, her grabbing and un-grabbing his hair over and over again, her fingers twitching at the sensation of his hair after so long. After SO long. She pulled back, frowning.
"Sasuke-kun..Why are you here? W-..What are you doing here? If you are going to lea-" Sakura started, slightly panicking and getting angry at the thought of him coming to her just to leave her again.
"Sakura," Sasuke cut her off. He looked exhausted, as if he had been through a long journey before getting here today. "Please, I want to just spend some- some time with you."
"Some…Some time?" Sakura questioned. She frowned. "Where were you all those years when I needed company? Why-How-I…" She felt angry, like she should. How could he just come back after he left for 2 YEARS just because he felt like it, but completely ignored her when she needed him all those year ago.
"Sasuke-kun, how can I believe you are here for me? You left the village, you are on the brink of becoming an enemy, you hate me," She whispered the last two words,"so, why would you be here if it is not for your own benefits?
"I don't want to be angry with you- I could never be angry with you, even if you killed me. But it's hard to think that you would come back for me.
"Are you really here to see me? Or is it just because you want information of Konoha. Is it because you need me to heal you? Do you need to escape? What is it this time, Sasuke-kun? What is it?" Sakura said, her voice cracking, as she shook the hand she was holding Sasuke's with, and lightly punching his chest- she could never hurt him, she would feel so guilty to do so to a teammate, and her lover.
Sakura took some deep breaths, trying to calm herself down, when she heard the slightest sniffle. Her head jerked up, and saw Sasuke facing down, his eyes squeezed shut, and lips slightly trembling. Sakura's eyes widened, realizing she had hurt Sasuke. It may not be a physical blow, but she probably hurt him emotionally.
"No.." Sakura whispered."Sasuke-kun.. Please forgive me. I did not mean to hurt you." Her voice cracked, quickly pulling him into a hug. "I didn't mean it, please.. Stop crying. I'll do anything." She stroked his hair. "I didn't mean any of it.. Please."
"Sakura-k," Sasuke started, his voice coated with emotion. "You deserve to blame me. You deserve everything." Sasuke was not good at emotions. Never in his life would he know what to say for an apology- he didn't do apologies. But he mentally prepared a whole speech, one that he thought had memorized, but clearly he did not. All of the words vanished from his mind, his tongue pulling back every single word, acting foreign to the language.
He was scared. Scared to apologize, to admit his mistakes. He was scared how she'd react- would she accept his apology, or slap him and leave. He guesses the first option, as she is apologizing for saying half-harsh words that didn't even feel like an insult. He decided that he wanted to see her more often, even if he was not ready to come back to the village. How would he say that though? He doesn't know- all he knows it that he needs to get the words out, one way or another.
" Sakura.." Sasuke whispers. He sees her breath hitch, and look up. She looked beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. If she wasn't a goddess he wouldn't know if any form of gods could be real. He could worship her and make her his entire religion if he could- but he couldn't, not yet. "I'm sorry."
Sakura's eyes widened, and her eyes pulled to a confused frown. She bit her lip, not understanding. "Sorry? For what?" Sakura whispered.
"For everything." Now it was Sasuke's turn to cry. It's not that hard to apologize, Sasuke thought, especially if it's for her. Sakura gasped, a hand clamping her mouth. She then quickly touched Sasuke's face, wiping his tears away.
It's about time. "Thank you."
__________
They had sat in silence after that. It was about 3 o'clock in the morning, and neither were willing to move from their position- Sakura sitting with her knees pulled to her chin, while Sasuke's legs were around her, his face almost touching her knees. It was sort of an intimate position, a little awkward, but neither wanted to move, scared of ruining the moment.
"I had felt uneasy, as if someone watching me all day," Sakura said, finally breaking the silence "was that you, Sasuke-kun?" She had a small smile to her lips, her hand brushing away a leaf that was on Sasuke's shoulder.
"Your senses are still the best out of the team, I see," Sasuke mumbles, "I was trying to be secretive."
Sasuke's tiny pout was the cutest thing Sakura had ever seen. She reached out, poking his cheek.
"Sasuke-kun, you always forget to completely conceal your chakra, you know that right? Also, were you watching me sleep?" Sakura pulled the words out, slightly becoming more and more nervous to knowing whether he watched her sleep or not.
"No, I did not watch you sleep- I did watch you go through your window though" Sasuke said, his ears turning a little red.
"You did watch me sleep! Oh my gosh-" Sakura said, burying her face in her knees. She felt Sasuke's hand pat her head, gently moving his fingers through her hair.
"Sakura." His voice sounded like he was going to ask a question, as if he was nervous to do so.
"Yes, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura said, willing herself to look up, despite her face all red from their previous talk.
"I am not going to come back to the village," Sasuke started with, watching her emotions- her face pulled into a confused frown, ready to object- he gave her a look as to say he was not done saying what he wanted to say, "but I still want to see you."
Sakura's eyes grew big with confusion. She looked at him, willing him to continue, unsure of what to feel at the moment.
"I still have plans on killing my brother, I have no intention to stop training and come back without killing him, but I still want to see you. I don't want my goal to stop me from seeing you. I don't care about the rest of Konoha, I just want to see you to know that you are alive, and well, and happy." Sasuke finished, his ears and upper collarbones tinted pink, as he refused to say one more line, I want to know you still love me.
Sakura, however, knew what he was trying to say-she always did- and started growing more and more red. She giggled at the sight in front of her, Sasuke blushing, blushing, and reached out to brush his hair away from his face.
"Sasuke-kun," She waited for him to look at her, "you know, as much as I hate the idea of you leaving just to kill your own brother- and you may have some reasons for that- I will still always love you, right?" She looked at him, questioning his faith in her love.
"Hn." Sasuke leaned in close to her, making sure she saw the smallest smile he had on his face. "You were the only one that ever saw everything about me, and still loved me." He looked into her eyes. "But I still want to meet you, I have wanted to see you, and feel you, and hear your voice, for so long. I want to see you regularly, please." He was not good, at all, with his emotions, with how he talked about his emotions, but he thinks that he nailed this talk.
He moved his hand and cupped Sakura's face, making sure she looked at him, desperate for her answer. Sakura had closed her eyes, keeping the emerald gems all to herself, not letting Sasuke take a look at them.
"Would the others know? Of us meeting?" Sakura whispered.
Sasuke did not hesitate. "Do you want them to?" A part of him wanted Sakura to make that decision, whatever made her comfortable, as long as he got to saw her. The other part wanted to say no, they should never know, because then they'd get in their way, trying to tear Sasuke and Sakura apart.
Sakura also did not hesitate, "No." She opened her eyes, starting at Sasuke's lips, slightly chapped from being dehydrated- from not listening to his body just to train, Sakura thought. "If the others know, they won't understand what you are trying to say, and will just try and get you to come back. They'll probably have me on house arrest if they found out I was coming to meet you." Sakura almost laughed, but decided on just watching Sasuke's face.
Sasuke closed his eyes, and slightly nodded. "I also have a feeling they would do something like that, and I was hoping you would say so to- I don't want to see any of those annoying idiots."
Sakura almost laughed, seeing this side of Sasuke- one where he showed his feeling almost so freely. "Am I not an annoying idiot anymore?" Sakura teased, her fingers tracing his nose, which was almost perfectly straight.
If Sasuke was drinking something, he'd probably have chocked on it and had to have Sakura pat his back, but instead, he looked like someone had punched him. "You were never annoying, or an idiot." He mumbled. It was annoying how much I loved you, and you were an idiot loving me back. Sasuke didn't find it annoying anymore, he was actually really grateful. She was what kept him motivated to train, even when his body was tired. She was what woke him up early, and keep him awake, for training, of course. She was what gave him an actual appetite to stomach the foods he got at the hideout, which were less than edible. She made him want to stay alive.
Sasuke looked up, and saw her red face. She's beautiful. He thought. Sakura's eyes were slightly wide, the reaction from what he had said, and her nose and cheekbones were tainted pink from it as well. Her emerald eyes were looking at his, slightly glassy from emotion. And her lips, Sasuke knew he wanted to do something with those lips. He reached out, gently brushing his thumb against her lips, careful not to cross any boundaries she may have had with him.
At the touch, Sakura's lips began trembling. What is he doing? Sakura wondered, acting clueless to the obvious answer. He was testing her, seeing if she was okay with it. Of course I am! Inner Sakura yelled. I'd only let YOU get this close with me. Sakura closed her eyes, swallowing at the sensation. WHY were his fingers so soft? Sakura wondered. Was it hand cream?
Sasuke knew- she gave him permission. As soon as she had closed her eyes, he knew she was willing to let him do it. But the truth was, he had never done anything before. The only time he was close to doing it was when he and Sakura had almost kissed, and, regretfully, the accidental kiss, from Naruto. I will never forgive you for that, Sasuke thought. He wished he could punch Naruto, especially for being his first kiss. He'd be more than happy if Sakura had been his first kiss, and now, she technically was going to be.
Sasuke leaned forward, being careful as to not make her feel uncomfortable. He cautiously caught her lips with his own, finally kissing her. God she's so sweet, Sasuke thought. Her lips tasted like strawberry, likely from her chap stick, and they were ever so plump, a fruit he could eat all day. He brought his hand- one down to her neck, and the other down to her waist. He never wanted to let her go. If she tasted this sweet now, how could he ever not taste her?
Sakura slightly gasped as she felt Sasuke kiss her. His lips were slightly rough, as they were slightly chapped earlier, but quickly softened as she carefully sucked on his lip. He tastes yummy, Sakura thought, then immediately cringed at her words. Yes, he did taste sweet, but did she really have to think of it like that? He tasted like a warm meal after a long day, or so Sakura thought. Sakura move closer, wrapping her legs around his waist as she adjusted sitting on his lap. She moved her hands to grab his neck and hair, slightly pulling at it as Sasuke would occasionally bite and pull at her lips with his teeth.
He was so careful, not to hurt her, Sakura had realized. She hazily opened her eyes, not wanting to ruin the moment, but she also didn't want Sasuke to feel uncomfortable. She started quietly whispering words of affirmation, stroking his hair, making sure he was enjoying the moment with her. She did not want him to go soft on her just because he thought she would get hurt.
As Sasuke heard her words through their kiss, he had a big urge to smile. She thinks I am scared of hurting her, he thought. While it was true, Sasuke was still enjoying himself, thought he did not think Sakura thought he was at the moment. So, as Sakura's words grew to a slight stop, Sasuke took the opportunity to say what he wanted to tell her.
"I don't think I will ever have an appetite for anything other than you." He mumbled into his kiss, making sure he kissed her harder than all of his previous kisses before, to make sure she digested that information.
Sakura burned hot, gasping at his words as she snapped her eyes open to look at him. His eyes were closed, though he did look very flush against her. Sakura slightly pulled back, causing him to look at her, confused. Did I do something wrong? Sasuke thought, scared he might have made her uncomfortable.
"I love you." Sakura said, making sure she didn't whisper. "I love you, so, so much. I love all of you. I love you I love you I love you." Sakura repeated as she kissed him. She kissed his forehead, his nose, his cheeks, his ear lobe, his jaw, she wanted to kiss all of him.
Sasuke was surprised, never had anyone ever said something like that. And she was saying, and showing her love for him, without any hesitation, her lips showing her determination for her love for him. Sasuke wanted to show his love for her too, but she was so caught up kissing him, how was he supposed to show her? Should he stop her?
After she started growing a little tired from moving and kissing him (which wasn't that long, both of them were getting quite sleepy, as it was almost 4 in the morning), Sasuke gently lifted her face, so that she could stop, and take a break. Her face was flushed, her whole body pink, as she panted heavily and her eyes slightly droopy. She leaned her head on Sasuke's shoulder, needing the support to balance herself.
Sasuke held her, but slightly pushed her back not long after. Sakura's eyes were closed, peaceful and resting, as she knew he was watching over her. "Sakura," Sasuke whispered, not daring to speak any louder and scare her. She was awake, of course, but she was also very tired, and Sasuke did not want to disturb her resting. Sakura however, wanted him to disturb her more than ever. She opened her eyes to look at him, giving him a small smile, to encourage him to talk more.
"I would kill for you. I would do anything for you," Sasuke began kissing her as well, on the lips, hard enough to leave a bruise, "I love you so much, I love you so much that I can not bear it in my heart, I love you so much that I think my entire purpose is to watch over you and worship you." Sasuke began leaving a trail of kisses, down her jaw, to her neck, right below her earlobe. Sakura slightly gasped at the feeling of his tongue playing with her earlobe, as well as nibbling at her neck.
Sasuke was at it for a long time, going back and forth of kissing her lips, her neck, and whispering his love to her. It was almost overwhelming to Sakura, as he had a great way of showing his love for her.
Sakura jolted back, with a quick realization. "Oh my gosh.." She grabbed onto Sasuke's hand, squeezing it. "Sasuke-kun.."
Sasuke was confused at the sudden reaction out of her. Had he done something, perhaps bit her too hard? "What happened, Sakura?"
"I am supposed to meet Tsunadae today, at 10 am. I can't go looking like this! She'll think I hooked up with someone!" Sakura panicked, gesturing at the little bruises all over her neck, and her slightly swollen lips.
Sasuke slightly chuckled. "You did technically made out though, didn't you?"
"But who did I make out with?"
"Oh." Of course Tsunadae would want to know who Sakura had hooked up with, she was practically her daughter at this point, and there's no way Sakura could lie and come up with a random person name, that would just sound wrong, especially with all of the history she had with Sasuke.
"You could heal the marks, right?" Sasuke asked, moving her head slightly to take a good look at her marks. "They are just little love wounds, so you could just heal them."
"You're right!" Sakura said, immediately getting to work. She touched her neck and lips, green light illuminating her as she healed her "love wounds".
Sasuke looked up- it should be sunrise soon, he thought. "Sakura, we should rest for a while before going back. It will almost be sunrise soon."
"Ah." She agreed, nodding and looking down. Sasuke had an interesting choice of clothes, one that exposed his chest. His chest had goosebumps all over, especially from the breeze.
"Sasuke-kun, are you not cold?" Sakura asked once finishing healing all of her hickeys.
"Hn, a little." Sasuke responded. Sakura pulled him into a hug, making sure she cover him with her coat.
"There." She said, leaning against the tree trunk. "We can rest for a while now."
Sasuke nodded his face stuck between her neck and chest.

After an hour or two, the two got ready to say their goodbyes. It was close to sunrise, the first ray of the sun peeking through the trees, and they both knew Sakura at least had to head back, before the village realized she was gone.
"Sasuke-kun," Sakura started, " make sure to rest, eat and stay hydrated. Don't think I don't know you haven't been taking care of yourself, I am a medic after all, shanaroo." She pouted, crossing her arms.
"Hn. I will if you do the same." Sasuke said, frowning. "Can we meet next week? I don't want to stay away from you too long."
"I will probably be free then, sure!" Sakura said. Neither of them wanted to leave first, but she knew they probably needed to head back now.
"I'll see you next week, Sasuke-kun." Sakura got on her tip-toes to peck his cheek once, and hug him. She made sure not to hug long, or they may not leave any time soon.
"Sakura-k," Sasuke returned the hug, and gently poked her forehead, "see you. I love you."
And then he vanished into the air, leaving a small gust of wind.
"I love you too, Sasuke-kun." Sakura whispered, before heading back home.
