In Nocker, Will the Wise, also known as many other things like sorcerer, cleric, and William, was fighting the demogorgons with spells, and his knight Michael, or Mike the Brave, was on his way. The journey went on.
A weird portal opened in the sky, and a person fell from it. The portal shut. The raven-haired boy groaned from the impact. To the young sorcerer, he looked very charming.
The stranger got up and looked around, confused.
“Where am I?” the tall boy spoke, going up to William.
“You’re in Nocker,” William replied as he destroyed all the demos.
The stranger was shocked. “You have powers?!” he exclaimed, and William looked confused.
“Is that shocking to you?”
“Um… yeah.”
“Mike—uh, I mean Mike,” he corrected himself, stretching out his hand to shake. William did the same, and they shook it.
They walked deep into a forest, the beauty breathtaking, with a pond.
“So you’re from Hawkins?” William asked, his voice higher, and it was so cute to Mike—but he never said that, of course, since he was from the ’80s.
“Yeah, I am,” Mike replied, sitting on the edge of the pond, his feet dangling as the sorcerer sat with him.
“What is it like there?” William asked, and Mike smiled.
“Hawkins? It’s nice.”
“Really? Tell me all about it.” The young liege grabbed the raven-haired boy’s hand. Mike’s heart skipped a beat.
“Okay.”
Those few moments made Mike realize he liked Will… but he couldn’t.
⸻
Mike finished talking about his life in Hawkins, and William was interested, asking questions like, “What’s that?” or “Who is that?” They sounded similar. His questions seemed endless, but Mike was happy to answer them.
It was almost sundown, and they lay in the grass, their hands intertwined above their heads. The sunlight shone softly on the cleric’s face, his skin and eyes glowing golden, and he looked gorgeous.
Mike stared at the beautiful liege, wanting to cup William’s face and kiss him but it wasn’t normal to think this, was it?
As the sun went down, they decided to sleep there, not caring about the dangers of the night. It was cold, but not enough to freeze to death, so they cuddled involuntarily for warmth, making it easy to sleep.
When the sun rose, they were facing each other, their limbs tangled as they woke. Mike woke first, then William, who was flustered at the sight and apologized.
Mike smiled. “It was cold, and I could’ve stopped you, but I didn’t, so it’s good.”
William looked relieved. “Okay, ready to go to Nocker?”
The young sorcerer held his hand out, and Mike took it, and they began the long walk to Nocker.
⸻
Half of the way there, they ran into Mike the Brave, who was riding on horseback.
“Who is he?” Michael pointed his sword at Mike, who was clinging to William’s arm.
“This is Mike from another dimension,” William smiled.
“Why is he on your arm?” Michael looked disgusted—and jealous.
“I’m not!” Mike got off William’s arm.
A big fight broke out until the sorcerer pushed Michael back with his magic.
“Michael, don’t hurt him!”
William held Mike close. It hurt Michael to see him happy, but to make his liege happy, he tried to ignore the feeling.
They got to the castle and lay in a hay bed as Michael continued the conquest. He watched Mike and William over time get comfortable with each other. They read, and Mike taught Will proper grammar so he could understand William better and obviously taught him “dnd.” The sorcerer liked it and giggled, and Mike fell in love and didn’t even worry about going home.
About six months later, they were playing, and until “Mike”
William whined a bit. “Yes.” Mike lays his head on Will’s lap and looks up.
“Is it normal to like boys?” the young liege said, looking as a nerd and sad. “Hmm, why do you ask?”
“I think I like you.” William smiled shyly, then surprisingly, Mike pelts him with kisses and the young sorcerer giggled.
“Stop,” William smiled through giggles.
“No!” Mike tickles William, and William wraps his legs around Mike so he stops. They look into each other’s eyes, and to Mike, William’s hazel eyes looked golden, almost from the sunlight in the room, and they hug.
⸻
A bit later, as they lay in the grass of the forest near the castle, Mike randomly mumbled, “I like you too.” He turned in the grass to face William and cupped his face, and the liege smiled.
“Now you remember,” he leans into Mike’s touch.
“My…” the raven-haired boy hummed, as the peacefulness and beauty made them fall asleep in the forest.
When they woke up, they heard swords. There was a battle near the castle. A knight stood over them, about to strike Mike (rhyming not intended), and William got in the way—and was killed.
Mike sobbed, screaming, “William, no, don’t go! I love you!” He held his lifeless body, crying, and kissed him, like he’d kiss back.
Mike woke up, panting, back in Hawkins. Will was beside him, looking worried.
“Are you okay?” Will asked.
Mike nodded. “It was a dream.” The raven-haired boy touched his face.
“Yeah, you fell off your bike really hard.”
Will goes and comes back with a tray of food and water.
“Eat, and we’ll go meet with the others.”
Mike smiled and took the food.
