Hate.
All Metal Sonic could feel was hatred.
He stared ahead at his master, at the two idiotic twins that stood beside the doctor, at the young AI Sage that had replaced him as Eggman's greatest creation.
Metal had been repaired, and upgraded once again following another humiliating defeat against the faker and his allies. Now the automaton pitifully floated in the stasis tank, having finally come online after being worked on.
The doctor sneered at him, still enraged by Metal's failure to defeat his arch-nemesis. "I'm so glad to see you awake, Metal. Now you can properly explain how you lost to that damn hedgehog!" The twins cowered from their boss as Eggman chastised Metal Sonic. Sage had a look of discomfort on her face, before her expression fell back to it's standard neutral expression. She must have been getting ideas of familial connections again, feeling sympathy for Metal Sonic. That only annoyed him further. He was not something to be pitied. "If you weren't so useful for labor, I'd have half a mind to turn you to scrap for my next creation!"
Metal Sonic had been tasked with fending off the inferior hedgehog and his allies while Eggman located the white Chaos Emerald. Eggman had already found the cyan Chaos Emerald, and claimed to have needed the white emerald to complete some idiotic scheme. Metal Sonic had stopped paying attention to such things truly. Despite it's true lack of care for the mission, it had almost been successful in buying time for it's master, until that dreaded error. Apparently, thanks to it, his master had not only not gained the white emerald, but lost the cyan Chaos Emerald, ruining any plans the doctor would have had.
It had been fighting Amelia Rose, and in normal fashion, had accessed previous logs of battles to analyze her movements and any data to defeat the pink hedgehog. That's when it showed up. Mobian hedgehog, known ally of the inferior hedgehog, access to magic– note for further study–, kind, caring, protective, loves Sonic—
