If u were to ask Taehyun, “whats it like dating Kai?” he would most likely deny having some type of relationship with him. In reality he doesnt really know what they are.

Taehyun woke up to Kai’s face hiding in his neck, clearly fast asleep. He always wondered how could someone look so pretty while sleeping. He grabbed his phone to check the time seeing it was only 8 am. He sighed and slowly got out of Kai’s grasp and into the kitchen. Since they had a day off, Taehyun and Kai planned on staying in their dorm while the other 3 members do whatever they want, they honestly just wanted alone time since their comeback has been tiring for them.
He was atleast attempting to make pancakes.. well he restarted because he kept burning them, but its okay!! He suddenly feels someone grabbing his waist and a head on his shoulder. He relaxed a bit and leaned into the touch.
“Goodmorning to you too Kai.” taehyun said turning around to see the white haired man, looking adorable while still a bit sleepy. “Goodmorning.. what are u making??” Before he even got a chance to glance at Taehyuns terrible attempt to make pancakes Taehyun grabbed his face and gave him a small peck on his nose. “Well i tried to make pancakes but turns out im just horrible at cooking.” He said turning around and turning off the stove so it wouldn’t burn and possibly catch on fire.
“I mean we could just order food if it makes you feel better..?” Kai said moving some strands of hair from Taehyuns face. Taehyun sighed and pulled away from Kais embrace. He went back to his room, well technically him and Kai’s room since hes always there. Kai sighed and just ordered them breakfast, hoping Taehyun would feel a bit better since he knows he wanted to show him the pancakes he tried to make for the both of them. He followed Taehyun back in their room and watched him get ready for the day. He always told Taehyun he looks pretty every single day without hesitation, its the truth and he gets happy when Taehyun gets flustered about it.
“U look pretty baby.” Kai said smiling when Taehyun paused and smiled in the mirror looking at Kai. They’ve been used to pet names since they have been close since debut days, so this isnt really new to them. “Thank you.. you also look pretty.” Taehyun said, Kai knows hes not really used to giving compliments back but he doesn’t care, any compliment from Taehyun is basically hitting the jackpot.

A little bit later in the day, the members decided to have a movie night at the maknes and Yeonjun’s dorm. Currently, they were playing uno and Soobin and Beomgyu were arguing about who said uno first. Taehyun was thinking about how that could be him and Kai someday, happily in a relationship but still act like friends. He’s really happy Beomgyu found his person, even though it took a while for them to actually get together. He was leaning on Kai since he wasn’t playing and played with his fingers.
“Okay Soobin if i win u get to do whatever u want when we get back to our dorm, but if i win we get to cuddle and eat snacks and watch funny videos together. Do we have a deal?” Beomgyu said, Taehyun looked over kinda weirded out by what Beomgyu just said. Soobin nodded in agreement and started a new round of uno. Taehyun sighed and continued playing with Kai’s fingers. He always thought what would it be like if they got together, i mean- most of the moas ship them together because Kai is really clingy on camera to Taehyun.
They played uno for a bit until agreeing on playing twister, Yeonjun didn’t play since he wanted to record them falling, which made Taehyun let out a little chuckle. He took off Kai’s hoodie and saw that Kai was pouting that he took it off, because earlier he mentioned he was cold. Taehyun hates to admit but he knows Kai loves when he wears his hoodies and wouldn’t mind if he stole all of them.
“Okay Beomgyu.. right hand on green!” Taehyun for sure Beomgyu would get out since hes practically doing a backbend, but to his surprise he flipped over and leaned his hand to the green. His butt was entirely in his face and he had to move his face away because why would he stare at his butt.. “Get ur ass out of my face u little fuc- AHH!” Taehyun said before falling over taking Beomgyu down with him. They were both out, now Soobin and Kai. “Hyungg… just fall already my arms are literally shaking..” Kai said in a whiny voice. “Who do u THINK I am??” Soobin said, rolling his eyes looking at Kai like he committed a crime. “An amazing leader who would do anything to make his members happy!!” Kai said trying to convince Soobin to let him win. “Beomgyu help me out here!!” He said trying to get Beomgyu to convice Soobin to let the makne win.

After Kai successfully won the game of twister, the members decided to watch a movie, they ended up choosing a scary movie for sure knowing Soobin would freak out halfway in.
In the middle of the movie, a jumpscare happened and Soobin hid in Beomgyus arms almost crying because he tried to handle all the other ones. “Baby.. its okay its not even that scary..” Beomgyu said pulling Soobin more into his arms. Taehyun softened because he loved seeing them in love, they look so happy with each other it makes him sick. He wishes him and Kai get together someday, even though it feels like they’ve been together for a long time now.
Kai is fast asleep on Taehyun’s chest, he loves when Taehyun has him in his arms, it makes him feel safe. He was playing with his fingers when he flinched because of the jumpscare. Kai woke up and checked if Taehyun was okay, forgetting they were watching a scary movie. He went back to sleep with his arms around Taehyuns waist tightly secured.

The next day might’ve been the best day Taehyun ever had. Him and Kai were sitting on his bed while Kai had his arm around his waist. He was a litlle upset over something and was silent. Kai tried everything to cheer him up, show him cute videos, play with his face, his fingers, and even told him funny stories. Taehyun didn’t budge, he was too upset to talk or even react to Kai.
“Baby.. talk to me what happened? Did I do something wrong? Just tell me and ill make u feel better immediately.” Kai said, holding Taehyun closer leaning his head on his head. “You didn’t do anything im just- upset over something.” Taehyun said going on his phone leaning on Kai. “But why are u upset?? Baby I don’t like when u don’t tell me whats wrong.. it makes me feel bad about something that doesn’t involve with me.” Kai said sighing, waiting for a response. “Its because- its stupid okay. Don’t laugh..” Taehyun said turning off his phone. “Why would i laugh at you my love? I just wanna know whats wrong..” Kai said rubbing Taehyuns stomach, what he always does to relax him.
“itsbecauseigetjealouseverytimesoobinandbeomgyuaretogetherandiwishthatwasussomedaybutyouprobabydontevenlikemebacksoilljustshutu-“ Before he got to finish Kai grabbed his face and kissed him. Taehyun was shocked but kissed him back, shaking since he really thought he was dreaming. Kai was the one to break the kiss and looked at Taehyun with so much love it made Taehyun really happy.
“I didn’t want to say anything because I didn’t want to mess up the relationship we had going on. I wanted to do this when we were out somewhere where it was just us two, but when u started i just couldn’t help myself and kissed you. I love you so much Taehyun I could say so much about u and wouldn’t get bored. The hyungs knew how much i liked you and honestly felt bad that you weren’t doing anything about it. I would destroy the world if that meant keeping you safe, I love you so much i don’t even know what to say, but i will say this. Taehyun.. may I be your boyfriend?” Kai said holding Taehyuns face wiping his tears Taehyun didn’t even know that was falling down out of his eyes. “I-oh my gosh. YES!!” Taehyun said kissing Kai again with so much love and affection. He hugged him still crying a bit but super happy he was finally Kai’s boyfriend.
Him and Kai are finally boyfriends. They’ve been dating for about 5 months now and it has been the best 5 months ever. He first told Beomgyu and Soobin since Soobin wouldnt let go of Beomgyu when he tried to talk to him alone. His excuse was “I never see him anymore because of our schedules.. hes my boyfriend not yours.” And he decided to tell him Kai asked him to be his boyfriend. They were both super happy for him for finally realizing how much they both loved each other. He told Yeonjun right after Kai asked him and he said basically the same thing.

They were cuddling after a long day of busy schedules and hours of being apart. Taehyun was playing with Kai’s fingers while talking about his day. Kai was smiling like an idiot madly inlove, well that is true, he is kinda obsessed with Taehyun.
“Hey Kai?” Taehyun said against his chest. “Yes baby?” He replied rubbing his thumb on his hip. “I love you.” He said looking up at Kai. “I love you too. I will always love you.” He said, kissing his forehead.
They then fell asleep in each other’s arms. Kai obviously snuggled up on Taehyuns chest like how he likes it. Taehyun looks down at his boyfriend. He gives him a little kiss on his head before falling asleep, knowing in the morning more memories of them two would be shared.
