Pubsec for the unemployed
Breaking news for the unemployed!
The phantom thieves that is known as MockingBird was seen in the recent banquet in celebration for the newly formed department of ethics, it may come as surprising or odd at the fact that the mayor, for all their regime has never formed a department of ethics, which has found itself in a lot of controversies and debates online.
But to be back on topic, the MockingBird faction was seen during the main celebration part of the banquet, which has led to multiple noble families to be concerned or panic. It is still not known what their goal was and why they are there, since the police’s thorough investigation of the aftermath of the banquet has led to no objects missing and no mechanics tampered.
But what captivates the online citizens the most was the leader of MockingBird, who despite having multiple appearances since their first heist 20 years ago, has never been identified.
They were seen wearing a new, fashionable outfit, while they are already known for their multi-fabulous wardrobe, the leader was seen wearing a suit similar to the leader of the Victorian Housekeeping, Mr Von Lycaon.
Well, as best as the MockingBird leader can imitate. With witness stating they did not have any leather straps in his face and lower back. (As a citizen stated in the inter-knot: “A loss opportunity”)
While matching suits in a large banquet are not as uncommon as people may think, a reminder for all of us is that Lycaon was of working status at that time so it implies that the leader of MockingBird quite literally copied Lycaon’s work uniform. Why is that is not something anyone can answer in current time, but there is speculation that there might be a relation between both leaders.
This has led to massive uproar on the inter-knot, on one side, fans of both sides appear supportive, in one post declaring their “joint-alliance”, and uhh… in an uprise of fanarts and fan fictions of the leaders. But on the other side, people began to speculate what led to be, mostly with negative comments about both leaders.
The Victorian Housekeeping is never documented as a partner of MockingBird and their opposing occupations can lead to significant decline of revenue for both companies. Victoria Housekeeping, is known for working for high class nobles so this controversy can lead to nobles being concerned of MockingBird.
There isn’t any known history between the two well-dressed gentlemen as both individual’s histories are hidden from the public eye. And I would like to remind every reader to respect their privacy and not to go too far with their solo investigation (not preferred, but if you want to). The Victoria Housekeeping has yet to respond to this controversy.
So what actually happened? It is still unknown.

Hm… both are narcissistic humans that shits on ordinary people in ways, after all Victoria housekeeping is the bootlicker of noble houses and mockingbird isALWAYS rumoured to steal not only from the rich, there is evidence. So I’d say let them together so their bloodline would be destroyed.

“Oh? Our dearest Lycaon has finally landed himself in his first controversy” Rina happily pointed at her phone towards Lycaon. After reading the article, Lycaon was beyond concerned. As someone who doesn’t indulge in inter-knot culture, Lycaon felt like he hadn’t been on the surface for a whole century and he is also now very afraid of people on the internet. All he could muster up is to raise up his hand to cover his forehead.
“Rina… that is not something to be proud of.” Lycaon murmured.
“Yea, I mean who would want the public to know their previous situationship?” Ellen called out from the couch while scrolling through her phone. Wait, isn’t she supposed to be studying for her math exam next week?
“Ellen, get back to studying your maths. And also, this is not just the public knowing our relationship, but also a possibility to bring the public’s attention towards MockingBird. Which may lead to hindering their work, as Hugo’s first victim, I assure you I would not hear the end of it. We have to dismiss the rumors quickly.” Lycaon sternly stated. He has to draft a letter towards the public about the rumors and the relationship between him and Hugo.
Although they have already reconciled, they both are still confused about their relationship. Are they dating or still in the talking phase? Neither of them would answer that whenever the topic was brought up. Especially Hugo, whenever Lycaon gets close to him, he just shrinks back and dive in another debate about some random stuff with Lycaon.
Lycaon often believes that things would work out for itself eventually, but each interaction with Hugo often led to Lycaon feeling down. Lycaon, although very much wanted to be back with Hugo, still wanted to respect Hugo’s boundaries.
They had broken each other both emotionally and physically since the very day Jack told Lycaon that he believes Hugo is a “seed of evil”. The first mistake of Lycaon was not responding to Jack. Unbeknownst to Jack, Lycaon has already detected Hugo right outside the door. On one hand, Lycaon wanted to make the person that made his life a lot better proud.
But on the other hand, he knew it was wrong and would sour their relationship badly. Both would end in one being disappointed with him. So he stayed silent. Jack believes Lycaon understands what he must do. While Hugo believes Lycaon would betray him at any given moment.
Then came the ravenlock incident… Lycaon needs no further elaboration of why that ruined their relationship.
He didn’t understand what’s there to be mend, Lycaon in fact, very much wanted Hugo, but it cannot be said in the opposite. There is also an elephant in the room, why did Hugo tailored the same suit Lycaon uses in missions? He knew that the brat hated his company a lot, whenever Lycaon came with his uniform still on Hugo would often be in a bad mood. Well, if saying Lycaon is a bootlicker towards the mayor can be called a bad mood but Lycaon believes that would be Hugo’s “default settings”.
So what should he do now? It’s either to reveal to the public that “No, I am not in a relationship with anyone currently.” Or “Yes, I am dating. But I am with a Gallery owner with a theater kid mentality who's definitely not the MockingBird leader.” (Now, Lycaon isn’t dumb, of course he wouldn’t say the last part)And proceed to make the brat with a theatre kid mentality mad. It is a tempting offer, but this might lead Hugo to avoid him again.
Lycaon can’t help but to feel a bit of a headache incoming.
“M-Mr Lycaon, I know this… uh… incident is troubling you and you needed time to process the information b-but would you mind going to Lumina Square to buy some groceries with me? We’ve run out of vegetables that were bought last week and no other people are able to spare time.” A voice whispered.
And of course, how could Lycaon refuse Corin’s demands?
