Work Text:
Kimi opens the door to the cabin deep in the woods. He wipes his feet on the adorable bee themed mat that Sebastian had put by the door, then he heads into the living room.
Sebastian is curled up on the sofa, eyes glued to a nature documentary. He doesn't notice Kimi enter the room and his rabbit ears are perked up as he watches the show. He is clearly very enthralled.
It makes Kimi smile, buying this cabin for them to retreat to during the summer break had been a good idea. Sebastian looked relaxed away from the craziness of the F1 circus.
He decides to test Sebastian's Finnish, the German having started to learn a little of it.
"Missä on minun pupuni?"
Sebastian pauses, turning at Kimi's voice and trying to keep a straight face. "What was that last word?"
Kimi blinks a little, confused by Sebastian's surprise. "Pupu? It means bunny."
"It sounds like poo poo." Sebastian laughs a little. It makes Kimi roll his eyes.
"You are immature." Kimi leans over the sofa to gently kiss his lips. "I think it sounds cute, minun pupuni."
"So for you, could it be sinä olet kissa?" Sebastian tries it out hesitantly.
Kimi beams, feeling immense pride at his mate, his ears twiching their approval. "Kyllä, tuo on oikein!"
Sebastian takes a moment to translate and he looks proud. It makes Kimi presses a gentle kiss to the top of his head affectionately.
"Haluatko sinä pihvin?" Kimi asks as he heads to the kitchen. "It was on sale at the market."
"Sounds good, kiitos." Sebastian licks his lips. "Minulla on nälkä."
"I will fix that, you just rest." Kimi tells him, his voice soft and gentle as he sets about preparing dinner. Its moments like this that make him realise just how lucky he is.
He has his mate, they're far away from anyone else and they're together. It's perfect.
Just how Kimi wants it to be, forever.
