Work Text:

“Freezesnap!” A blast of ice shot onto the ground as a young boy snowboarded down a hill with a few penguins sliding down on the patch of ice created by the trident that was held by the young boy as he used his weapon to generate the ice slide for the penguins before stopping at the edge of a lake and letting the penguins slide off, watching them do all sorts of tricks while watching them dive into the icy lake. “Ya-ha! That was great like always, ChillyZack!” A penguin said after popping out of the water and shaking himself off.

“Thanks, Percy! My powers are getting stronger every day. And I’m teaching myself a lot of new things too! Watch this. Cold Snap!” ChillyZack aimed his ice trident into the air and allowed a blast of ice shoot up in the air and created snowflakes with firework-like blasts. “That truly is amazing, ChillyZack!” Percy replied, reaching a flipper out and catching a few of the falling snowflakes. “I can’t wait to see what else I can do, but sorcerers gotta practice before they can move onto more difficult tricks and magic.” The boy replied, twirling his ice trident in his hands a little.

“Slide! Run away!” The penguins suddenly shouted, hopping out of the water and sliding away quickly as Percy and ChillyZack looked at the fleeing penguins in confusion. “Hey, hey guys! Where are you going?” Percy called after his colony. “What’s going on?” ChillyZack asked in concern before hearing someone chuckle from nearby. “Hello, dear nephew!” A male’s voice greeted as the two spun around, looking across the lake. There stood a pirate sorcerer with a large ice trident in his hand and two large snow monsters standing at his side.

“SHIVERJACK?!” The pair gasped. “In the cold flesh.” Shiverjack smirked as ChillyZack clutched his ice trident, looking across the lake. “What do you want, Uncle?!” He asked firmly. “Don’t you remember my last words to you and your new mateys after you betrayed me? No? Then let me give you an icy hint!” Shiverjack yelled, “Be freezed!” He commanded, wielding his trident and blasting a shot of ice at the two. “Zack, look out!” Percy yelled as they jumped away from each other, narrowly missing the ice blast.

ChillyZack got up and quickly spun his trident, growling a little. “Freezesnap!” He yelled, zapping a blast of ice back towards his uncle as Shiverjack summoned his own blast, counteracting with his nephew’s blast of ice which the smaller blast was overcome by the stronger magic and caused it to fire back at the boy. ChillyZack gasped and dropped onto his stomach, looking back and seeing the ice freeze a tree nearby. “Zack, you gotta get out of here! Your magic’s not strong enough to go against your uncle!” Percy said, helping the boy up.

“But I can’t leave you behind to face him!” ChillyZack said, getting back up. “We’ll handle him in our own way.” Percy answered before whistling, the colony of penguins popping up from several snow drifts and holding snowballs. “We’ll hold him long enough for you to get away. Now go!” Percy urged as ChillyZack looked up, spotting Shiverjack freezing the lake to cross easier. “Snow mugs! Seize my nephew!” He ordered as the Snow Minions walked onto the lake. “Penguins! Snowballs away!” Percy shouted, picking up some snowballs and throwing them with his colony at the snow mugs. ChillyZack picked up his ice trident and ran off quickly, realizing he needed to get help. “I gotta find help.” He told himself before running off into the trees as fast as he could out of Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon, praying Percy and his colony would be okay.

On Pirate Island, Jake and his crew were practicing trust instincts as Izzy and Cubby held some fruit while Skully helped tie Jake’s bandana over the latter’s eyes. “Are you sure you want to go first, Jake?” Savaa asked. “I’m sure, Savaa. Just relax. Besides, we’re only using fruit.” The captain answered, lifting the bandana slightly as Skully tickled his hand away. “Ah ah ah! No peeking.” The parrot told him as Jake chuckled, pulling his hand away. “Alright, alright. Sorry.” Jake laughed, placing his hand back down to hold his sword with two hands.

“Okay, Jake. You know the drill. You’re blindfolded and you have to trust only your instincts and other senses to dodge or cut the fruit. Ready?” Izzy said as Jake gave a thumbs up while Savaa moved to the bucket of fruit. “So, wait, when are you-” He started before getting a banana to the face, “-throwing.” He finished, quickly regaining himself. “Maybe we should practice reflexes instead.” Cubby laughed as Jake undid the blindfold, taking it off. “I think that might be a better idea.” He said, “Whoever threw that banana, good aim.” He commented.

Izzy gave Cubby a high five as Skully flew over after spotting something in the water. “Look alive, mateys! Something’s coming to shore!” He alerted the crew as they looked over with Captain Jake quickly grabbing some rope off a barrel and tied it into a lasso, spinning it in the air before throwing it out to the figure on a small patch of ice as the other boy caught it with the trident quickly. “Got it!” He yelled. “Help me out, crew!” Jake said as Izzy, Cubby, Skully and Savaa grabbed the rope and helped pull in the boy.

ChillyZack quickly hopped onto the beach when his melting ice raft was starting to giveaway underneath him, kneeling down to catch his balance real quick. “Captain Jake!” He said, standing up as Savaa tensed up. “AHH! SHIVERJACK!” She screamed, running away from the crew and digging a hole in the sand immediately before climbing down and pulling a piece of driftwood over the hole quickly. “Uh...What just happened?” ChillyZack asked, completely stunned at the Never-leopard’s reaction.

“Sorry about that, Zack. That’s Savaa, our crewmate that you didn’t get to meet when we first met.” Jake said while walking over. “Why wasn’t she with you guys when I met you?” ChillyZack asked. “Because she can’t be in cold environments such as Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon. If she’s exposed to cold environments, she becomes weak and sick. So, when we go somewhere cold, she usually stays behind on Pirate Island.” He explained. “Hey Savaa! Come back over here! It’s okay, it’s not Shiverjack!” Izzy said, running over and lifting the piece of driftwood as Savaa poked her head out. “Wait, what?” She asked.

“It’s Shiverjack’s nephew, ChillyZack. He’s our matey. He saved us from Shiverjack’s snowconstrictor when we went snow tobogganing.” Cubby added as Savaa climbed out and smiled nervously. “Whoops. Sorry.” She said, walking over to the boys and joining Captain Jake. “What brings ya here, ChillyZack?” Skully asked as Izzy and Cubby walked back over. “It’s my uncle! He’s back and this time for revenge on me! He attacked me and Percy back at Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon! Percy and his colony held him off for me so I could get away when realizing Shiverjack was after me!” He explained.

“And I’m going back to my hole.” Savaa said, walking away as Izzy grabbed her by the tail quickly. “Savaa! Relax!” The girl giggled as the Never-leopard reluctantly came back and stood between her and Cubby. “And I can’t go up against him! My magic’s not strong enough yet! That’s why I’m here, I need your help Captain Jake. I can’t go up against Shiverjack alone.” He explained. “You can count on us, Zack. We’ve gone up against that sorcerer before, we can do it again.” Jake said, pulling out his sword as the crew cheered.

Jake then turned and knelt down in front of Savaa, placing his sword down. “Savaa.” He said quietly as she looked at him, letting him pet her muzzle, “It’s okay. I know Shiverjack scares you, but we’ll be fine. We’ve gone up against him more than enough times that his tricks are always easy to plan out and counterattack.” He reassured her as Savaa purred, nuzzling him. “At least let me come with you on Bucky. There’s no reason for me to stay on Pirate Island now that Hook’s redeemed himself and won’t be after our hideout nor our treasure.” She explained to him.

He pondered at her words as he sighed, chuckling before standing up. “Alright. You can come with us to Neverland, but once we get to the border of Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon, you know the drill.” Jake told her as Savaa nodded her head. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” She answered. “Yo ho, let’s go to Neverland and stop Shiverjack!” Jake told his mateys, picking his sword back up. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” They all replied before running to the hideout entrance, heading inside and hurrying to Bucky’s grotto. “Oh and Zack.” Savaa said, looking at him. “Yeah?” He asked. “I got my eye on you.” She told the boy, who chuckled nervously. “Got it.” He replied.

The crew slid down while Savaa took her elevator, the crew hopping aboard Bucky and prepping his sails while Skully opened the waterfall, the ship heading out with everyone standing on the bow together while sailing to Neverland. “Uh Jake?” ChillyZack whispered. “Yeah?” Jake looked over at his matey at hearing him speak up. “Is Savaa normally protective of you guys?” He asked. “All the time.” Cubby answered, chuckling a little bit. “But it’s okay. Once you gain her trust, she’s really nice.” Izzy added, petting the Never-leopard a little on the head as Savaa purred a little.

“Here. Just hold out your hand, stay calm because uh...she can smell fear.” Cubby smiled sheepishly as ChillyZack reached his hand out while Izzy nodded to the feline and allowed Savaa to walk over to ChillyZack and sniffed his hand before nudging against it a little. “See? You just gotta earn her trust is all.” Jake told him as ChillyZack nodded. “Just like how I had to earn your trust when you found out I lied about being related to Shiverjack.” He replied.

“Exactly!” Cubby confirmed as Bucky’s bell rang twice, catching the crew’s attention. “Bucky says ‘Neverland, dead ahead’!” Skully translated for them, flying down from the crow’s nest and landing on the railing. “Thanks Bucky! Thanks Skully!” Jake said as he looked over towards Neverland as Savaa felt her spine go cold from a sudden feeling. “Just nerves...Just nerves.” She whispered. “You okay, Savs?” Skully asked quietly, hopping onto her back and tucking in his wings. “I just had a chill go up my spine.” She whispered.

“Are you just saying that as a pun?” He grinned a little as Savaa shook her head. “No, I’m being serious.” She answered firmly before walking to the bow and looking around. “Bucky, ho!” Jake ordered, holding a hand up to signal the ship who quickly stopped as ordered. “What is it, Jake?” ChillyZack asked. “Savaa?” The captain spoke up as Savaa looked back at him. “I had a feeling and now it’s gone. It’s safe to continue.” She told him, getting down as Jake nodded and patted Bucky on his railing which signaled the ship to continue.

ChillyZack looked at Savaa and placed a hand on her. “Hey Savaa, you okay?” He asked. “Not really. I think I’m on edge because I’m so afraid of Shiverjack.” She sighed, lowering her head. “It’s okay. I understand. Even though I’m not going to confront him, it’s still nerve-wracking knowing that he’s back after so long.” She explained. “Yeah. I haven’t seen my uncle in a long time too, but I know that I can’t be scared because I know that I won’t be alone when I have to face him.” ChillyZack explained to her.

Savaa listened to him before nodding, knowing that he was right before hearing Bucky ring his bell as the ship landed at the beach and extending the gangplank which allowed everyone to board off. The crew headed off onto the beach as ChillyZack followed last. “Alright. Here’s the plan. Me and Zack will go against Shiverjack. Izzy, Cubby and Skully, you check on Percy and his colony in case Shiverjack did something to them when they were holding him off.” Jake said as the others grinned, nodding to their friend. “Aye aye, Captain Jake!” The four replied.

The crew ran ahead onto the path as Savaa hesitated, but shook her head. “Relax, Savs. Relax. Stop letting your nerves get the better of you!” She whispered before running after the others as Shiverjack stepped out when seeing the kids disappear from sight. “My plan is going perfectly...” He chuckled before twirling his trident, summoning the cold winds and vanishing amongst them while following after the kids in secret.

-

Jake stopped when they made it to the edge of Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon as he looked at his friends. “Everyone got their snow gear?” He asked, pulling out his scarf and fixing it around his neck to stay warm as Izzy pulled out her scarf and earmuffs while Cubby was fixing his scarf real quick after putting it on. “Ready.” They said as Savaa walked over towards the edge of the trail leading into the snowy terrain. Curious, she placed a paw on the cold ground before taking a step back at feeling a shiver in her paw and flattened her ears solemnly.

“Sorry that you can’t come with us, Savaa. But how about this? If you see any trouble in your line of sight, these canyons should echo out a call. Like this.”Izzy said before cupping her hands to her mouth, “ECHO!” She yelled. ‘Echo...echo...echo...’ Savaa listened to Izzy’s voice echo and slowly died out as she was surprised at how far it seemed to have traveled. “But we can’t yell back or we could risk an avalanche. If something happens and we can’t reach you, I’ll send a signal with my sword.” Jake added as he placed a hand on the back of her neck as the Never-leopard nodded. “Alright. All of you stay safe.” She said before letting the crew hug her before heading into the snowy terrain ahead.

ChillyZack paused and looked back at the big cat, gulping. “I’ll do my best to protect them, Savaa. I promise.” He told her as Savaa bowed her head in gratitude to the young boy. ChillyZack ran to catch up to Jake and his crew quickly before they could get too far away from him. She watched them for a few minutes until she couldn’t see them anymore as she sighed, flopping on the ground. “Curse you, snow.” Savaa huffed before feeling that same chill run past her spine again, making her look around in fear and worry.

‘It’s that feeling again. Back when I was on Bucky. But why?’ She thought to herself before standing up and trying to get a good look of the area. “Boo.” A voice spoke as Savaa spun her head back around and felt her fur go cold instantly upon coming face to face with the ice sorcerer himself. “Shi...Shi...” Her throat tightened amongst her panic and felt like the fear within her glued her paws to the ground. “Miss me, Miss Never-Leopard?” Shiverjack asked, “Be freezed!” He commanded as the Never-leopard instinctively bolted to the side of the trail and narrowly missed being struck by the enchanted ice.

Savaa scrambled to her paws, fear flooding her heart and panic surging in her head. ‘Run! Just run!’ Her head seemed to scream at her as she finally got her legs to work, running as she kicked up dirt and leaves before making a full run for it, her spots shimmering and allowing her to camouflage into her surroundings quickly. Shiverjack watched her, chuckling at the large leopard running away from the area. “Look at that. Captain Jake’s precious Never-leopard running away like a fearful, little kitten. Such a shame, but now with her out of the way. Getting to Jake, his mateys, and my nephew, shall be easier than skating on a frozen lake.” He laughed, vanishing in a cold wind and heading into Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon.

-

ChillyZack led the way to where he had left Percy and his colony as he slid down a small hill. “This way! We’re getting close!” He said before standing up as Jake slid down after him, standing up before feeling Cubby crash against him and plummeting both of them into the snow while Izzy slid down and hopped up beside them. “You okay?” She giggled, helping Cubby up first. “I’m fine. I lost my footing.” He answered as Jake stood up, brushing himself off. “It’s alright. Thankfully the snow is soft as a blanket.” The captain said. “Or as soft as a feather bed!” Skully laughed.

The kids climbed over the next hill quickly as ChillyZack spotted the igloos down below and smiled at seeing the penguins who were working on rebuilding some of the igloos that seemed to have been destroyed or damaged from the attack. “Percy!” The kids called out, running down together as Percy looked over and laughed. “ChillyZack! Jake and mateys! You’re here!” He called, waddling over quickly and joining his friends. “Percy, is everyone okay?” Cubby asked. “We’re all fine. Nobody was hurt from the attack. Right now we’re focused on rebuilding our homes that were damaged from Shiverjack’s ice.” Percy explained.

“Where’s Shiverjack now?” Jake asked. “We don’t know. He vanished. His snow mugs left to spread out to look for ChillyZack.” The penguin explained to them. “Meaning he could be anywhere by now,” Izzy pointed out. “And we can’t split up. It’s too risky,” Cubby added. “We’ll find him. Percy, which way did you last see Shiverjack?” Jake asked, looking back at his penguin friend. “On top of the hill you came down. His snow mugs split ways. One going to the right and the other left while Shiverjack just left in his winter wind spell.” Percy explained.

“Then that’s where we’re going. Shiverjack is the main target. Without his snow mugs, it should be easy to overtake him.” Jake told his friends. “And once we find him, we’ll be able to stop him before he does something bad, right?” ChillyZack asked. “That’s the plan.” The crew answered simultaneously. “Good luck, mateys! Be careful out there!” Pearl called from her igloo while helping a couple of her fellow penguins fix it up as Jake and his mateys ran back up the hill to hunt down Shiverjack to be able to stop him.

-

Somewhere else, Savaa managed to run far from feeling panicked and scared as her paws slid to a halt and jumped into some bushes, panting and shaking as her heart was beating hard in her chest. ‘Breathe. You need to listen.’ She thought to herself before taking slower breaths and listening to the silence. “He didn’t follow me. I lost him.” She whispered, flattening her fur from being scared as she stood up and looked around, stepping out into the path carefully.

She then flattened her ears, realizing what she just did. “Oh no...W-What if Shiverjack goes after Jake and the kids? And I left them without knowing I saw him!” She said before trying to run back, but stopped quickly at another after thought, “But what if Shiverjack is still there? And he gets me with his ice? Oh, why, why, why must I be so scared of that sorcerer?!” She questioned before getting an idea, realizing who she needed to find, “Misty.” She whispered before taking off quickly, hoping that the good witch’s cottage wasn’t too far.

Savaa peered out of the bushes and perked up at finding the familiar trail leading up to the cottage as the feline kicked into a run, hurrying over the small bridge and hurried to the door, using a paw to scratch at the door. “Oh? Hello?” A young woman in blue with black hair opened the door, glancing around before spotting the Never-leopard, “Oh! Savaa! How wonderful it is to see you again, my dear friend.” The witch greeted cheerfully, stepping outside. “Misty, I need your help.” Savaa told her. “Oh dear, whatever is the matter?” Misty asked. “Do you have a spell that can protect me from the cold?” The Never-leopard asked.

Misty hummed while thinking for a second. “I believe I might have the spell! Come on inside, my dear.” She answered, opening the door and letting the Never-leopard inside her cottage and then walking in after her, closing the door before walking to the shelf of books. “Let’s see...Nature, creatures, sickness, aha! Climate and weather.” Misty smiled and pulled a book off the shelf using her wand, opening it up and skimming the pages, “And why might you be in need of this spell?” She asked while searching. “Shiverjack is back and I need a spell to protect me from the cold so I can go into Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon. I don’t need it to protect me from Shiverjack, but from the cold because-”

“You can’t handle climate or temperatures that’s too cold for you or else, you risk becoming ill and weak.” Misty finished her sentence as Savaa nodded in confirmation. “Aha! Here it is. A heat cloak spell. With this spell, your body will be able to be protected from the cold and still remain warm despite risking the cold temperatures, but I do give you this warning, Savaa. The spell will wear off at sunset and if you are not out of Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon by then, you will be subjected to the climate.” Misty explained to the big cat in a calm, yet serious tone.

Savaa listened before taking a moment to consider her words, letting in a deep breath before raising her head up. “Alright.” She said as Misty hovered the book in front of her and held up her wand. “By the power of ice and the power of frost, give this leopard the cloak of warmth for a mighty cause!” Misty recited before tapping Savaa’s head with her wand as the Never-leopard closed her eyes at a sudden warmth engulfing her body from the top of her head to the tip of her tail as the warmth vanished after a brief moment. “Did it work?” Savaa asked, opening her eyes as Misty smiled. “Only one way to find out. Go and help your friends, Savaa. And remember, the spell wears off at sunset!” The good witch warned as the feline nodded before turning and racing out of the cottage. ‘I’m coming, crew!’

-

In the canyon, the crew carefully trekked across the snow as ChillyZack quickly put his ice trident out. “Whoa, stop!” He said as everyone quickly stopped, startled a little. “What is it?” Izzy asked. “Ice bridge.” ChillyZack answered, looking out in front of him and the rest of the crew as they looked at the bridge ahead of them across a chasm. “T-T-That’s a long way down.” Cubby stammered, looking down over the edge a little before feeling Jake pull him back when the snow crumbled a little. “Whoa, Cubby! Careful.” The captain warned.

“Thanks, Captain Jake.” Cubby said before a cold wind rushed past the whole crew, startling them for a second as they looked forward and watching the winter wind form into the ice sorcerer in front of them on the bridge. “Haha! Captain Jake, we meet once again.” Shiverjack grinned as Jake unsheathed his sword just in case. “I thought me and Peter trapped you in your own ice.” The captain confronted. “My ice doesn’t last forever, don’t you remember from when I was teamed up with Grim, Hook and Undergear? When I froze Hook’s mateys? They eventually got themselves out because the ice doesn’t last forever. And luckily, my brother came and got me out because I didn’t respond to his letters for some time.” He muttered the last bit.

ChillyZack groaned. “Aka my dad.” He whispered. “Yes. And now...I’m here for my revenge against you now that you’re all here!” Shiverjack yelled and shot a blast of magic as Jake jumped in front of his crew and deflected the blast away from his crew. “Everyone, scatter! He can’t get all of us at once!” Cubby yelled as the crew split quickly, dodging Shiverjack’s blasts as ChillyZack turned around and aimed his ice trident towards his uncle. “Freezesnap!” He summoned, blasting a small bit of magic as Shiverjack looked over. “Be freezed!” He yelled, summoning his own blast of magic and overpowering the younger sorcerer’s magic.

Izzy leapt in the way and pushed ChillyZack out of the way, the two rolling in the snow before falling off the ledge of the gorge with ChillyZack using his trident to stab into the rock and stop their fall, Izzy holding his other hand. “I got you, Izzy!” He said. “Zack! Izzy!” Jake ran over and looked down quickly. “Captain Jake! We’re fine! Worry about Shiverjack!” Izzy called up to him as the boy looked over his shoulder and quickly deflected another blast of ice when Shiverjack tried to attack him again.

“I got you now...” Shiverjack laughed, pointing his trident towards the captain before being hit by a snowball from behind, causing the blast of ice to be shot into the air instead. “What the?!” He growled, looking over. “Come and get me, frosty!” Cubby yelled, tossing another snowball at Shiverjack before making a run for it as the sorcerer growled and went after the smaller pirate. “Cubby!” Jake yelled. “Go help the others!” Cubby shouted before heading into the trees with Shiverjack after him.

Jake turned around and laid down on his stomach reaching his sword down towards the two. “Grab on!” He said as ChillyZack grabbed the back of the sword. Once he saw ChillyZack have a hold on his sword, Jake quickly pulled them up as the latter pulled his trident out of the rock wall and kept a grip on Izzy’s hand before using it to help Jake with getting the two of them up onto safe ground as the captain saw ChillyZack get a grip with his trident and reached his free hand out and grabbed Izzy’s other hand, the two boys helping get her back up onto the snow.

“That was too close.” ChillyZack whispered, catching his breath. “Agreed. You okay?” Izzy asked, sitting up and fixing her earmuffs. “I’m alright. Thanks for saving me, Izzy.” He answered. “No problem.” She smiled as Jake looked in the direction he last saw Cubby. “Come on! We gotta catch up to Cubby before Shiverjack gets him!” Captain Jake said as the kids jumped to their feet and raced off to the trees immediately at realizing that Cubby was in trouble.

Cubby ran quickly, ducking behind trees or rocks to take cover from Shiverjack while avoiding any of his enchanted ice. “Come out, come out, wherever you are, little Cubby.” Shiverjack taunted, looking around before freezing a tree as the pirate leapt out from behind the trunk and ran away as Shiverjack growled. “Hold still, you little pest!” The sorcerer yelled, aiming his trident and blasting ice in front of Cubby, making him fall backwards when he tried to avoid the hit. “Aw, coconuts!” He exclaimed before gasping and crawling backwards up against a rock, coming face to face with the trident.

“Why thank you for making the hunt a little easier for me, little pirate.” Shiverjack chuckled coldly as Cubby covered his face with his arms as if to shield himself. “Get away from him!” A voice yelled from behind as Shiverjack turned, looking around before a shimmer came at the corner of his eye as Savaa launched herself at him and latched her teeth onto the trident, tugging at it and trying to get it out of Shiverjack’s hands. “I thought I scared you off, you cat!” He yelled, pulling his trident free from her mouth as Savaa got in front of Cubby, teeth and claws bared.

“You may have scared me off, but that doesn’t stop me from coming to my crewmate’s aid.” She replied before growling and roaring at him, swiping a paw at him as Shiverjack took a step back to keep her from hitting his trident. Savaa leapt forward and used her tail to swipe up some snow at his face before shoving him away once he was blinded long enough for her to do so. “Be freezed!” Shiverjack yelled and blasted his ice at her as the Never-leopard’s courage turned to fear as she leapt out of the way, rolling onto her side and narrowly missing the blast of ice.

“CUBBY, RUN, NOW!” Savaa roared at him as the boy got up and raced off quickly before the leopard looked at Shiverjack and growled, lashing her tail. “How are you even able to withstand the cold?! I thought you Never-leopards can’t be in cold environments!” Shiverjack said, the two starting to slowly circle each other. “I’m not telling you, you cold-blooded scavenger.” She hissed fiercely at him. “Very well then. Be freezed!” He yelled, blasting his ice at Savaa as the leopard leapt out of the way before taking a paw full of snow and swiping it at his face to blind him again. “Argh!” He exclaimed, wiping his eyes before looking around, finding Savaa gone.

Savaa reappeared in the bushes and took off once she felt safe enough to, panting a little before gasping at crashing against someone and looking up quickly as Cubby sat up and shook his head to get some snow off his head. “Cubby.” She breathed out, standing up as Cubby looked at her. “Savaa!” He smiled and got up, hugging her quickly as Savaa embraced him back, “But what are you doing here? You’ll get sick and weak and we gotta get you somewhere warm!” The boy rambled. “Cubby, Cubby, it’s okay. I’m not cold.” She said as Cubby looked at her. “You’re not?” He asked.

She shook her head in response to his question. “No. I went to Misty after Shiverjack attempted to scare me off when I was left alone. I knew I couldn’t bear feeling guilty if something happened to the crew because of my weaknesses of the snow and Shiverjack. So Misty gave me a cloaking spell. With it, I can’t get cold and weak, but I have until sundown before it wears off.” Savaa explained to him as Cubby placed a hand on her muzzle. “Oh Savaa, you didn’t have to do that, you silly cat.” He told her. “I know, but I wanted to. For you and the others.” She responded before looking around quickly, “Where are the others?” She asked.

“I ran away from them to divert Shiverjack and distract him because ChillyZack and Izzy fell into a gorge so I ran and made Shiverjack follow me so Jake could help them.” Cubby explained as Savaa listened before looking back. “Come on, let’s find them.” She told him softly as she crouched down and helped the small boy onto her back. Cubby patted her shoulder to let her know he was ready as Savaa stood up and hurried off at a small jog.

-

“Cubby? Cubby!” The three called out while walking through the trees, looking around for their crewmate as ChillyZack looked at them. “Do you think my uncle got him?” He asked. “I don’t know. Cubby may be easily scared, but he’s smart and clever. If anyone can outwit a villain, it’s him.” Jake explained. “It’s true. Cubby outsmarted Hook when he took the Emerald Coconut and trapped Jake and Izzy in a cage.” Skully said. “I remember that!” Izzy commented.

Jake halted in his steps and turned to his friends quickly. “Shh. Something’s coming.” He whispered as the other three went dead silent until one of the snow mugs stepped out, groaning and grunting as he spotted the four of them. “It’s one of Shiverjack’s Snow Mugs!” Skully said. “Run, hurry!” Jake told them before the crew turned and ran only to stop at the other snow mug coming out and cutting them off. “Going somewhere?” Shiverjack laughed while appearing in one of his whirlwinds and landing on top of a rock. “Where’s Cubby?!” ChillyZack asked. “The little frostbite got away, unlike you...I got you where I wanted. Snow mugs! Seize them!” He ordered.

“Not this time!” Skully yelled, dodging the snow mug that reached up for him as Jake whipped out his sword. “Mighty Captain’s Sword, turn up the-” He began only to be grabbed and picked up by one of the two minions. “Hey! Let me go!” The captain shouted, struggling to get himself freed or get his arm freed at least to use his sword. “Captain Jake!” The others shouted as ChillyZack yelled at being grabbed by the other minion. “Hey! Let us go!” He yelled as Jake looked at his crewmate. “Izzy! This is an emergency!” Jake told her.

“Hang on! Pixie dust aw-” Izzy reached into her pouch, but looked up at seeing someone lunge for her before Shiverjack spun his trident and smacked Izzy with it, launching the pirate into a tree as the girl fell to the ground with some of the snow from the tree falling onto her from the impact. “Izzy!” The two boys yelled in terror. Shiverjack cackled before raising his trident into the air. “Now, let us return to Frozenguard.” He said before whisking his trident against the ground and creating a large wind that engulfed him and the minions, vanishing amongst it.

Skully popped out of a tree once he saw the coast was cleared as he flew down and quickly landed near Izzy, using his wing to brush the snow away from her face a little. “Iz? Izzy, can you hear me?” He asked as Izzy groaned a little in response. “I won’t leave you. Help will find us.” The parrot whispered, nesting himself against her chest to let his unconscious crewmate know he was there at her side.

Elsewhere, Savaa walked through the trees with Cubby sitting on her back tiredly while glancing around. “Jake? Izzy? Zack? Skully?” The two called out as they wandered into the open area. “Is this where the attack happened?” Savaa asked. “Yeah, over by the ice bridge.” Cubby answered as the Never-leopard bounded over to it quickly and stopped at the edge of it, looking around carefully. “There! Footprints!” The boy said as Savaa turned her head and perked her ears up, running over and sniffing the imprints in the snow. “It’s their scent. We better follow it. Ready?” She asked.

Cubby leaned forward and adjusted himself before nodding once as Savaa looked back up ahead and took off after the tracks, making sure that she also had one ear listening for Cubby just in case he needed her to slow down or stop. “Kids?!” The Never-leopard called out. “Crew?! Captain Jake?!” Cubby shouted as the big cat slid to a halt, feeling the fur on her neck stand on end at a new scent that hit her. “Savs? What’s wrong?” He asked her quietly. “I smell Shiverjack.” She answered before the two looked at each other, connecting the two scents immediately.

“They may need help!” He said. “Hang on, kids!” Savaa called and raced forward again, this time going a little faster as the feline’s paws slid to a halt again, lowering her head to the snow and sniffing at it. “The scents are gone for some reason.” She said quietly as Cubby climbed off of her only to fall into the snow, the Never-leopard immediately looking over at him in concern. “I’m okay.” He chuckled as Savaa sighed in relief. “Savaa! Cubby!” A voice called.

The two shot their heads over as Skully hopped up and flapped his wings to get the snow off himself real quick as Savaa’s heart dropped at realizing who he was nestled up against. “Izzy!” The two yelled, running over as Savaa immediately got behind Izzy, curling herself around the girl and licking her head and face gently a few times. “Savaa...?” Izzy muttered, slowly coming to her senses as Cubby sat by Savaa, worried about his sister and crewmate. “I’m here, Izzy. We’re both here,” She whispered. “Skully, what happened? Where’s Jake and ChillyZack?” Cubby asked. “Shiverjack and his Snow Mugs is what happened! They came and managed to capture Captain Jake and Zack! Shiverjack knocked Izzy into the tree when she was about to use her pixie dust. She’s been out for not too long.” Skully explained.

“We gotta save them.” Izzy said, slightly getting up as Savaa nudged her. “Not yet. You lay back down and regain yourself. You’re still dazed from the attack.” The Never-leopard told the girl quietly. “Can I at least lay down on you? And not in the snow?” Izzy suggested as Savaa nodded before helping Izzy onto her back, letting her lay down on her back. “What are we going to do?” Cubby asked, “Jake and ChillyZack have been taken and we don’t have a captain or first mate!” He said. “We get ourselves back to Bucky first off. If my hunch is correct, he’s taking them both to Frozenguard.” Savaa answered.

“I can confirm that hunch! I heard him say that before he vanished with his snow mugs!” Skully replied as Savaa stood up as carefully as she could. “Then that’s where we’re going. Let’s move,” She said as Cubby got up and placed a hand on Savaa’s shoulder, looking at Izzy who reached over and held the smaller boy’s hand. “I’m okay, Cubby. Just sore. By the time we get to Frozenguard, I’ll be back on my feet.” She reassured him quietly as Skully perched between Savaa’s shoulders gently before the Never-leopard nodded to the others and started heading back to find a way to get back to the beach.

-

On Frozenguard, the Snow Mugs walked down a hallway as Jake and ChillyZack struggled to get loose from their grip as Shiverjack turned around, gripping his trident. “Now then. Enjoy your temporary new home.” He chuckled before using his trident to open a door as the Snow Mugs tossed the two inside, the pair landing in the cell as Shiverjack slammed it shut once they were inside. “You won’t get away with this, Uncle!” ChillyZack shouted, getting back up.

Jake got up and brushed himself off of some of the snow on his jacket. “First Cubby goes missing, Shiverjack throws Izzy against a tree and now he’s got us imprisoned. What’s worse is that Savaa’s going to be worried about all of us and she can’t even handle the cold and won’t be able to go and find our friends unless Skully manages to get away too. I didn’t see him. The whole attack went so fast.” Jake sighed as ChillyZack placed a hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay, Captain Jake. I know you’re worried about your friends. I am too. Right now, we gotta get out of here. Or at least figure out a way to break out of here.” ChillyZack told him as Jake took a deep breath and then firmly nodded. “Right.” He replied before walking forward and pulling out his sword, “Stay back.” He warned.

ChillyZack got behind Jake as the captain aimed the sword towards the door. “Mighty Captain’s Sword, turn up the heat!” He commanded as the sword warmed up and blasted a ray of heat at the door only for it to bounce straight off. “LOOK OUT!” ChillyZack shouted as the two ducked down, the blast of heat going straight over their heads and straight through the cell window. “My uncle must have put a spell on the door.” ChillyZack said, helping Jake onto his feet. “You try.” Jake encouraged as ChillyZack took his position and aimed his ice trident at the door. “Freezesnap!” He yelled, shooting a blast of ice at the door only for it to be dispersed once it hit the door.

“Frostbite! My magic’s still not strong enough...” He said, looking at Captain Jake in worry. “We’ll get out of here. We just need to figure out a plan out of here. Shiverjack obviously put a spell on the door so we can’t use our own magic to get out. Let’s try with just the weapons themselves.” Jake suggested before running over to the door and then jamming his sword between the door and the frame, pulling a little before yelling at being flown back as his sword landed at his feet. “Nope. That didn’t work.” Jake said, sitting up and fixing his hat. “I don’t want to try that with my trident. It’ll snap in half and I haven’t learned how to conjure up another like how my uncle does.” ChillyZack said.

Jake’s eyes lit up, suddenly getting an idea before standing up quickly. “I got it! But it’s going to take time and patience,” He told his matey. “What is it?” ChillyZack asked. “I can help you practice so that way we can try and get your magic stronger. Once we think it’s enough, we can try to break the spell on the door with it!” Jake explained as ChillyZack immediately hugged his friend with one arm. “Captain Jake, you are one smart pirate!” He chuckled. “I get that a lot.” Jake semi joked.

-

Back on the Neversea, Bucky sailed across the water with Savaa at the bow of the ship and watched the horizon as Skully perched beside her. “How’s Izzy?” She asked without looking at him. “Better now that she’s warmed up. She’s back on her feet and ready to help rescue Jake and ChillyZack.” The parrot reported to his friend. “Good. At least she doesn’t show any signs of injury,” She replied. “So, wait, how were you able to get into Chi-Chi-Chilly Canyon without becoming sick and weak?” Skully asked. “Shiverjack attacked me and scared me off. I ran to Misty after realizing I needed to help Jake and the others with going against him. She gave me a cloaking spell to help protect you guys. The spell will only last until sundown tonight. Once the sun sets, the spell will dissipate.” She explained.

“Meaning if you lose your cloak while we’re at Frozenguard...” Skully said. “Then I’ll be the one who’s in trouble.” She finished for him with a small sigh. “We’ll get Jake and ChillyZack back before you know it.” Skully reassured her before Savaa and him looked back over at a small crash and saw Cubby sprawled out from slipping on a coconut. “I’m okay!” He called as Savaa smiled in amusement and walked over, nudging him to his feet carefully. “Sorry. Forgot I had left that there earlier.” She said nervously. “It’s okay, Savs.” He reassured her as Izzy walked over to them quickly. “Alright, what’s the plan?” She asked.

Savaa took a deep breath. “I’m not sure. I’ve never been to Frozenguard.”The Never-leopard answered. “But we have. Did Jake get taken with his sword?” Cubby asked. “Yeah! The snow mugs grabbed him before he could even use it at all.” Izzy answered. “And Zack’s got his ice trident, but he said that his magic isn’t strong enough to go against his uncle.” Skully added. “What did you guys do when you first went to Frozenguard?” Savaa asked them.

“Shiverjack took us to his dungeon, but Percy managed to bring back Jake’s sword to him and we used that to free ourselves,” Cubby answered. “Then that means Shiverjack may find a new way to hold the two prisoners whether it be back in those dungeons or somewhere else in that place. Izzy, are you up to leading this mission? You are Jake’s First Mate.” Savaa asked. “I am.” Izzy answered. “And we’ll be here to help you through the mission.” Skully offered, flying over and sitting on her shoulder.

Izzy smiled before scratching his chest in appreciation with a finger before looking back at the other two. “Alright. Here’s the plan. Nobody is going to split up first off. It’s too dangerous. We need to find ChillyZack and Jake first so that way we have enough strength in our numbers when we go up against Shiverjack and teach him a lesson that if he messes with our friends, he messes with all of us.” Izzy explained. “I can do my best to move you guys around with my camouflage.” Savaa offered. “Your camouflage can do that?” Skully asked.

“Yep, it certainly can. You just have to stay low and match my stride beside my legs in order to stay hidden as much as you can.” Savaa answered. “Then we have our first plan for getting in and searching the fortress. If Shiverjack is smart, he’ll probably do something to keep them from escaping.” Izzy pointed out. “You mean like turning them into ice statues forever?!” Cubby gasped. “I doubt Shiverjack would want to do that.”Savaa answered, “He wants his revenge, meaning he’ll probably do something that isn’t quick and easy. Not trying to scare anybody, I’m just pointing out facts.” She explained to the three before raising her head to the sky.

“Savaa? What is it?” Skully asked. “Thinking. If I was Shiverjack and I wanted to get revenge on my foes, what would I do?” The Never-leopard answered before Izzy and Cubby covered their mouths and looked at each other. “You don’t think he’ll summon that snowconstrictor again, do you?!” Cubby asked. “Shiverjack wanted us to suffer and he conjured up a snowconstrictor. Needless to say, that thing is wicked strong.”Izzy said. “And scary!” Skully added. “All that we can do is hope that Jake and ChillyZack are okay and that they can hold up until we can get there and stop Shiverjack.” Savaa said in hopes of giving them some hope and faith.

“Savaa’s right. Captain Jake wouldn’t want us thinking about the possible outcomes of what Shiverjack is doing. He would want us to keep our eyes on the prize and that prize right now is getting our matey and captain back from that frozen sorcerer!” Izzy smirked. “Yeah!” Skully and Cubby cheered, the three sharing a group high five together. “Bucky! Set sail for Frozenguard!” Savaa said as Bucky rang his bell immediately in response before setting sail. ‘We’re coming, boys. Hang tight.’ Savaa thought to herself.

-

Back on Frozenguard, Jake set down the small rock as ChillyZack positioned himself a few feet away. “Alright, Zack. Like we’ve been practicing. Focus on what you want to do with your ice trident, stay concentrated and keep your eyes on the prize.” Jake told him as ChillyZack nodded, taking a deep breath before looking at the rock and aiming his trident towards it. “Freezesnap!” He commanded, sending a blast of ice at the rock and causing a wind to pick it up and then drop it. “Heh hey! I did it! Sort of.” He said while rubbing the back of his neck.

“It’s a start. So far we’ve practiced snow winds, small chills, snowball clusters, and now snownadoes.” Jake said, remembering what they did so far from memory as ChillyZack looked at the door. “There’s one thing I want to try. Stand back.” He said as Jake took a few steps back to give his matey some space while ChillyZack started to spin his trident around himself and then tried to remember his uncle’s old spell. “Snowconstrictor, arise!” He commanded before blasting at the door only for it to leave a mere wind chill that dispersed against the door, “Ah frostbite.” He whispered.

“Wait, you were trying to summon a snowconstrictor? Like your uncle did?” Jake asked. “Yeah. I thought it would be worth a shot.” ChillyZack answered as Jake placed a hand on his shoulder in reassurance. “I have another idea. I wanna see how big that window is.” He said, motioning to the window above them. “Here, let me try something to help you out. Freezesnap!” ChillyZack quickly focused and built a snowy staircase before kneeling down, a little shocked at performing a harder trick right for the first time in a while. “You did it! Way to go, Zack!” Captain Jake cheered, running over and helping his matey back up and making sure that he was okay.

“I-I just did that! Haha! That was awesome!” ChillyZack said as Jake got up the staircase and pulled himself up to the window, peeking through before grinning. “If we can’t get out through the doors, then we can get out the window.” He told him. “Really? Is it big enough?” ChillyZack asked. “It is! I just have to cut the bars off.” Jake answered, pulling out his captain’s sword and placing the blade against one of the ice bars, but stopped when spotting something approaching the island. “What is it, Jake?” ChillyZack asked when noticing Jake suddenly pausing on what he was doing as the captain slid down real quick.

“It’s our mateys! They’re coming!” He answered quietly, not wanting to be too loud just in case Shiverjack could overhear them. “They are?! They’re okay!” ChillyZack smiled as they both climbed up while Jake pulled out his spyglass, looking through it before getting an eye on Bucky. “They’re okay! Izzy’s with Cubby, Skully, and...SAVAA?!” Jake gasped, putting the spyglass down in shock. “What?! Savaa?! But she can’t be anywhere near Frozenguard! It’s like you said, she’ll become sick and weak!” ChillyZack said. “Savaa’s protective of me and my crew. She’d do anything for us. She nearly sacrificed herself to the Doom Stone to protect Tink. I’m worried about what she’s getting herself into if she’s coming here,” Jake replied.

ChillyZack looked at the window before looking back at him. “Then let’s break ourselves out of here. They’re probably going to confront Shiverjack. Maybe we can meet them halfway!” He suggested. “Good idea.” Jake said before moving over and getting his sword back out, heating it up on command and starting to melt through the ice bars.

-

Bucky quietly rang his bell, approaching some stairs and extending his gangplank for the crew as they disembarked and headed up the steps carefully and quickly. “Be on the lookout for those snow mugs,” Izzy warned. “Stay near me.” Savaa whispered as the kids nodded while Skully flew above them to be a lookout while they snuck towards the doors. Cubby ducked behind Savaa when they got close as Savaa looked at them. “Remember, stay within my stride as much as you can. And we will hide when we need or have to.” Savaa told them as the crew nodded before the Never-leopard quickly vanished, opening the doors and guiding the kids towards the side of the hallway to hide.

Skully flew ahead of them to keep an eye out before flying back. “Hide! Hide! Snow mugs coming this way!” He whispered as the kids ducked behind some ice rocks while Savaa just pressed herself against the wall, watching the snow mugs walk past them without noticing the three hiding while Skully flew down from hiding behind a pillar and watched the minions leave their sights. “All right, the coast is clear!” He reported as Izzy and Cubby got out and found Savaa, hurrying with her to continue the search. “Which way are the dungeons?” Savaa asked. “That way.” Cubby pointed to some stairs as Savaa looked around before reappearing quickly. “Make a dash for it. Go go go.” She whispered.

Izzy and Cubby ran across the hall, making it to the stairway quickly while Savaa leapt after them, landing beside them on the other side before feeling her paw slip on the ice and tumbling down the stairwell as the crew cringed at hearing their crewmate crash down the steps. “Savs?” Izzy asked. “I’m good.” The feline answered from below as they quickly hurried down, not noticing the windy chill that snuck behind them.

Izzy and Cubby hopped off the last step as Savaa sat up, rubbing her head before being hugged by Skully. “Don’t do that.” He teased as the feline stuck her tongue out at him. “This is it! Come on, ChillyZack and Captain Jake have to be around here somewhere.” Izzy said, running past them as Savaa got up, running after Izzy with Cubby behind her and then Skully. The four split up, searching each of the individual cells carefully as Savaa sniffed the ground to try and find a scent. “Anything?” She asked. “I got nothing,” Cubby answered. “Yay hey, no way. Neither of them are here!” Izzy replied, running back over.

“Where could they be? Maybe they already escaped and they’re somewhere else?” Cubby asked. “I never put them down here anyways, little pirates.” A voice informed them suddenly as the three turned around, spotting Shiverjack blocking their way. “Skully!” Cubby gasped, spotting the parrot in the sorcerer’s grasp. “I’m okay! Though his hands are freezing!” The parrot shivered slightly as Savaa felt her heart grasp in a mixture of fear and anger. “Where’s our mateys?!” Izzy demanded. “You don’t make the orders around here, missy! Now, I’ll give ye one chance. Surrender peacefully and I let your little friend here go or I will turn him into an icicle!” Shiverjack threatened.

“Izzy, what do we do?” Cubby asked. “What would Jake do?” Izzy asked herself quietly before gasping at feeling Savaa shove past and suddenly leap at Shiverjack, knocking him to the ground as the ice sorcerer released Skully when he hit the ground with the Never-leopard putting a paw against the side of his head to keep him pinned. “CREW, RUN!” She roared as Izzy grabbed Cubby’s hand and scooped Skully, making a run for the stairs as Shiverjack grabbed his trident and swung it, smacking Savaa in the side of the face and managing to get her off.

“You may be wearing that cloak, but it probably isn’t enough to stop my ice! Freezesnap!” Shiverjack commanded, sending a blast of ice at her as Savaa dodged out of the way quickly and growled. “That is if you can catch me first!” She replied, running past when he tried to hit her again as Savaa used her tail to sweep him off his feet, buying her time to get out and head up the staircase.

“We have to go back and help Savaa!” Cubby said. “I know, but I hadn’t thought of a plan if Shiverjack found us!” Izzy confessed, looking back at her matey before feeling someone run into her, the five of them tumbling onto the floor. “Ow...Talk about a crash course...” Skully groaned. “Skully, Cubby, Izzy!” Jake exclaimed as the crew looked at the two, realizing they had crashed into Jake and ChillyZack as they got up, embracing one another. “Iz, you’re okay!” ChillyZack said to her. “A little sore, but I’m okay.” Izzy nodded.

Savaa rounded the corner and stopped quickly, taking a few deep breaths before lifting her head up and spotting the crew as she smiled at seeing Jake and ChillyZack. “Savaa?” Jake asked in surprise. “Captain Jake!” She grinned, hurrying over as Jake ran to her, hugging her. “What in Neverland are you doing here?! You’re going to get sick!” He told her. “Misty gave me a cloak spell to protect me from the cold environment. I only have until sunset!” Savaa told them. “Why thank you for that little tip, kitty.” Shiverjack said as the kids looked over, spotting the snow wizard and his snow mugs standing at the other end of the hallway.

“It’s over, Shiverjack. You and your snow mugs are outnumbered!” Jake ordered, getting in front of his mateys as Savaa stood beside him, growling. “And if you want to hurt any of these kids, then you’ll have to get through all of us,” She proclaimed. “Snow mugs! Get them!” The wizard ordered as ChillyZack jumped forward, wielding his trident. “Freezesnap!” He commanded, zapping the floor and creating a crack that quickly opened up and tripped the snow mugs before they could get close to them. “Yo ho, way to go!” Izzy and Cubby cheered before high fiving and splitting up.

Shiverjack growled and blasted another one of his rays at them as Cubby jumped down from a rock with a patch of ice, using it as a shield as the blast ricocheted off the ice and into the ceiling where a bit of snow fell. “Smart move, Cubby.” Jake complimented before running forward and blasting a beam of heat straight for Shiverjack as the sorcerer jumped to the side and blasted his own magic in return, catching Jake off guard as it caught against his sword and knocked the boy back against the ground. “Jake!” The crew shouted, racing to his side as ChillyZack gently held his arm to help him up. “I’m okay, I’m okay.” Jake reassured them. “I wouldn’t be too sure about that, Captain Jake. Because you’re finally going to feel my cold wrath!” Shiverjack proclaimed before blasting a magic blast at the whole group.

The kids closed their eyes before the magic bounced off a sword that intervened and narrowly missed Shiverjack who looked back at them. “Who-?!” He started, but stopped when seeing the Never-leopard holding Jake’s sword despite struggling to keep her head up with it as she dropped it quickly, standing in front of the kids with teeth bared. “I may be afraid of you, and your cold may be my weakness, but I will not let you do anything to my family!” Savaa roared at him in fury before launching herself at him and grabbing his arm with her paws while latching her teeth around his trident.

“Let go of that, you measly feline!” Shiverjack yelled, struggling with the feline’s grip as Jake reached over and grabbed his sword before looking at ChillyZack. “Ready to finish this?” He asked. “Ready.” He answered before whistling as Savaa got the message and released off of Shiverjack, but yanked the trident out of his hands and quickly ran back to the kids, getting beside them. “Give that back!” Shiverjack yelled. “Now for a taste of your own cold, uncle. Snowconstrictor, arise!” ChillyZack commanded, performing the earlier move and blasting his magic at the ground in front of his uncle as a large snowy snake-like creature rose up from the frost and hissed at Shiverjack.

“Ahh! Nice snake, good snake, get away from me!” Shiverjack yelled, running off with the snake slithering right after him quickly. “That’ll hold him off long enough for us to get out of here.” ChillyZack told them as the kids hugged both of the boys while Savaa dropped the trident on the ground. “Savaa, I can’t believe that you faced him! You faced your biggest fear!” Jake said hurrying over to her and hugging the Never-leopard who embraced him back with one of her paws. “I may still be afraid of him, but I will always be willing to face that snow wizard if it means protecting you and the crew,” Savaa replied.

“I hate to break up the moment, but we’re running out of time!” Skully warned as Izzy and Cubby gasped. “We gotta get to Bucky, now!” ChillyZack said. “Izzy, this is an emergency!” Jake told his matey who smirked and reached into her pouch. “I’m on it! Pixie dust away!” She yelled, sprinkling pixie dust on the crew before flying off quickly through the halls with Jake and ChillyZack led the way while Cubby and Izzy helped Savaa with flying before flying down to the ship and getting onboard once they were outside.

“Bucky! Full speed ahead!” Jake commanded as Bucky rang his bell and took off away from Frozenguard while Savaa watched the sunset beyond the horizon as the unusual warmth across her fur suddenly vanished, leaving a small chill to hit her while leaving the cold waters. “We made it.” Savaa said, sighing in relief. “How about a nice warm campfire tonight and roasting some s’mores while we warm back up once we get home?” Cubby suggested. “I never tried a s’more before. I’m in!” ChillyZack replied. “I’m in too. I’m famished.” Jake chuckled. “I’ll have some marshmallows since I can’t have chocolate.” Savaa purred. “More for us!” Izzy joked as the crew laughed while sailing back home.

-

Back on Frozenguard, Shiverjack managed to hide himself away from the sight of the snowconstrictor before grabbing his trident and spotting the creature return, quickly blasting it and making it vanish when it attempted to attack him. “You may have won this time, Captain Jake! But next time, you and your mateys won’t be so lucky. You hear me?! I will be back for revenge, once and for all!” Shiverjack shouted.
