Notes:

This is for Hag Fest Collection's April Showers Drabbles and More Fest. Day 7 is Muddy.

Work Text:

George and the boys trampled into the kitchen, all muddy, from playing outside.

“FREEZE!” Hermione pointed her wand at them. “Why didn’t you use the outdoor shower?”

“Oops,” George smirked as he walked over to her and tried to give her a hug when she kept backing up.

“George, you will be sleeping on the couch if you get me dirty!” Hermione gave him a stern warning. “OUT!”

“Blimey, Dad, I think she means it.” Freddie opened the door and went out along with Richie. “Come, Father.”

George slumped when he realised that their son was correct and followed them out to get washed off. “Accio towels.” Three sets of towels came to him, and he left them by the doorway. “I’ll be right back.”

“Scourgify!” The mud disappeared. “Better.” She returned to cooking their dinner.

Five minutes later, a hand grabbed the towels and pulled them outside so the males could cover themselves before coming in. “Hello, my love.”

Hermione gave them a once-over before dipping her head. “Run upstairs and get some clean clothes on before we eat, please.”

“Go on,” George nodded at their boys. They scurried out of the room. He wrapped his arms around her. “Sorry, my love. I did forget that we added that shower shortly after we moved in.”

“It’s alright.” She kissed his clean cheek. “Now go, get dressed.” She swatted his arse.

“Yes, ma’am,” George smirked as he dashed up the stairs, much to her amusement.

Hermione hummed to herself as she went about setting the table and bringing over the platters of food. “TIME TO EAT!”

There was a stampede down the stairs, and her boys joined her around the table. “Thank you, Mum!”

“You are most welcome. Now let’s eat.” She started to grab some food for herself before they took the rest. George insisted that she make her plate first so she would have enough to eat. She loved that about him.
