I wrote a drabble drawing from Edger Allan Poe's "The Raven" and the little of the story I know after the first book.

“But I do not want to be a Raven,” Neil said. “I do not wish to be a Raven— not anymore, not ever.” Neil sobbed.
“I do not wish to be a Raven,” Quoth the Raven. “Nevermore”
Quoth the Raven, “Evermore. But I am not a Raven, I am a Fox— and nothing more.”
Quoth King Raven, “Nevermore.”
