Genuine Love

Summary:

An enemies to lovers yaoi

NO SMUT

Notes:

Forgot to add a note lol. This is the first chapter of a homemade fic. It's actually based on 2 of my close online friends. 1 of them said if I wrote this he would read it, so here I am. I've actually written a lot more, but this is my first work on here. Anyways, back to the matter at hand. I'm expecting to have a chapter out a week, preferably on Fridays. Thank you so much for reading! I promise I won't leave this as a forever WIP lol

Chapter 1: The Project

Chapter Text

The slam of Kidney's locker echoes throughout the empty school halls as he grabs his biology books. Time to head to class, he thought, looking down at his Apple watch. "Hey, nerd," someone in front of him said. Kidney looked up, confused. Standing right in front of him was Genuine, the famous school bully. Kidney looked into the bully's gorgeous, blue eyes, but caught himself and quickly diverted his gaze to his books.
"Oh . . . Uh . . . Hey, Genuine,"
he said hesitantly, fingering his books.
"I didn't tell you you could talk, did I, bitch?"
He said, pushing him into the wall of blue lockers. The couple of kids roaming the hallway looked startled by the noise, but continued walking as if nothing happened.
"Uh, no you . . . you didn't,"
Kidney said, trembling from Genuine's sheer aura.
"Then why'd you speak, kid?"
He said, squatting down to Kidney's eye level, a few inches away from his lips.
"I'm sorry Genuine,"
he said, blushing a bit and looking away.
"Good boy,"
he answered, making his friends laugh. Genuine stood up, grabbing his friends to walk to their next class.
"Phew, that was a close one,"
he said, getting up and brushing the dust off his ass. He bent down and picked up his books, putting them to his side as he started sprinting to the science room, all the way across the building. I'm so gonna be late, he thought, looking for his class. The walls were a dull white, almost gray, but not dark enough. It was almost like the bore of school rubbed off on the walls. The rest of the school was red because of their mascot, the Knights. He'd been there for about 4 years now, finally finishing his last year. In his opinion, the final year had been the easiest, as there's hardly anything to do. It's also supposed to be the funnest because of the famous science project. A couple of his old friends that graduated told him about a legendary project they did in science all about growing your own garden inside using LED lights. His friends made it sound really fun, and if he's right, his teacher, Ms. Hart should be setting up the partners for it any day now. Aha! There it is! He thought to himself as he opened the door.
"How nice of you to show up, Mr. Left,"
Ms. Hart said, glaring at him with a disappointed look. He walked to his assigned seat, looking down in his own disgust. He's never been late to class before and it shows. He has what his friends and classmates call a 'nerd build', but what most people would be mad of, he's proud.
"Haha imagine being late, loser,"
Genuine whispered in his ear.
"You made me late,"
Kidney snapped back, but immediately regretted doing it. Genuine lifted his arm to punch him, but Ms. Hart piped up before anything happened.
"Hey, boys, did you hear me?"
She said, pointing at them both.
"Uhh . ."
Kidney stuttered, looking for an acceptable answer.
"Obviously not,"
she said, frowning.
"Well, I was assigning partners for the garden lab this year." Kidney's face lit up, forgetting about Genuine and the imminent threat of his fist.
"Kidney, you and Genuine will team up,"
she said, pulling another two names from an opaque bowl. Kidney's jaw dropped in horror, thinking about how great this now horrible project will be. My partner is GENUINE?! He thought, looking over at his snarling face.
"I'm gonna rip you to shreds, nerd,"
he said, leaning closer to Kidney's face. His blue eyes sparkled with rage and bitterness. I hate this school, he surmised, burying his head in his books.
