Work Text:
As hard as she tried to be, Meiko wasn't exactly a party girl. Sure, she loved going for drinks with her friends, but she never liked it when there were too many people in one place.
Unless she attended one with Luka, the fun-loving girl she admired for her flawless confidence. Yet, she almost despised her sometimes. That girl just couldn't leave her in peace.
So when Meiko went outside to get away from the cramped atmosphere, it was no surprise that she was followed.
"What'cha doin' out here all by yourself, Mei-mei?" She asked just moments after Meiko sat down on the bench just behind the house.
"Don't call me that," the short-haired woman retorted. "And it's none of your business."
"Aww, poor girl can't handle a little bit of socializing?"
"Luka."
The girl in front of her chuckled.
"What? This is the fourth one we've been to! Shouldn't you have become a pro at this point?Maybe if you did, the drunk side of you wouldn't be moping about being single."
"Cut it out, Luka," Meiko huffed, turning her head away from the woman.
"Eeeeh? Do you really want me to stop?" When Meiko's eyebrows twitched, she added. "You look like you're having so much fun right now."
"I am not."
"Sure, sure. But I can see right through your mind, Mei-mei; you enjoy it when I poke you a little bit." Luka began poking the other woman's cheek with her finger as she said this.
Meiko grumbled at her. This girl also did whatever she could to try and annoy her to death. It didn't seem like the kind of person she would be with how pretty and elegant she usually looked—if she'd known the truth from the start, they wouldn't even be acquainted.
"Shut it." Meiko finally moved Luka's hand away from her face and stood up.
"Oh? Why don't you make me, pretty girl?"
Usually, she'd punch Luka in the face for teaisng her in that way. She had no interest in giving the girl anything that she wanted. Especially not today, when the girl being so pushy.
Or so she should've thought.
But seeing the slight tilt of her head, the hand on her hip in anticipation, and those deep blue eyes staring at her so mischievously…
Meiko wanted to shove her tongue so far down her throat that she'd hardly be able to breathe.
Impatiently, she turned, grabbing Luka's collar and pulling her in for a rough kiss. Luka made a little noise in surprise before reciprocating.
And so, it was these circumstances that led to them passionately making out just outside of the party.
They pulled away to take breath, only for Luka to tease some more.
"Ara~ So this is the way you've felt about me. I'm honored!"
Though, Meiko could tell she was at least a little flustered.
"You sound like you want more."
She cupped Meiko's face and pulled her closer. If Luka's eyes were lazers, Meiko's would have burned up by now.
"And if I do?"
Then she would (unfortunately) oblige.
There was no telling how long they'd been enjoying each other for, but it was long enough for someone to come and look for them. As she heard footsteps, Meiko suddenly pushed Luka away from her.
"Meiko? Luka?"
She turned to see their mutual friend, Miku, who had an apprehensive look on her face at the sight of them together.
"Um…you two were out for a while," She said as her voice quivered slightly, "So I came out here to see where you both went."
Meiko turned to Luka, who she assumed would respond with, "Oh, we were just having a bit of fun," or something of the sort. But the pink-haired woman only blinked, completely speechless.
A grin crossed her face. Now, it was her turn to do the talking.
"You know how it is. Luka was being annoying, as usually, so I had to shut her up."
A blush crossed Luka's face. Meanwhile, Miku's became horrified.
"Y–yeah. Well, if you two are done, let's…head back, yeah! All the drinks are ready now."
"Okay! You coming, Luka?"
"Huh? Mhm, I'll be right behind you."
Without another word, Meiko walked with Miku back into the house.
Meanwhile, Luka trailed behind, unable to process what just happened.
