Work Text:
The café was loud and crowded when Jeongguk entered. The café was close to the nearby college’s campus, so it was mostly college students boisterously flocking around. It wasn’t Jeongguk’s ideal place – he preferred quiet places – but Yoongi had said it was the only place he had time to go to between classes that day. It was snowing mildly outside, and everyone was bringing the snow in with them, causing the floor to be a slushy mess. Jeongguk felt bad for the person who had to clean it up later.
Jeongguk couldn’t see Yoongi at first, his gaze skimming over the many forms, looking for a familiar face. He almost gave up, thinking Yoongi hadn’t arrived yet, when he spotted a lone figure in the back, bend over the table, writing something on a tablet with nimble fingers.
Jeongguk approached the other while taking off his coat. Yoongi only glanced at him when he placed his jacket on the back of the vacant chair.
“Thank you for meeting me,” Jeongguk said as he sat down across from Yoongi.
Yoongi folded the cover over the tablet and put it down in a bag under the table by his feet. “I wouldn’t say no to free coffee. And I guess I was curious to hear what you had to say.”
Jeongguk nodded, the first hint of nerves showing in his gut. “Fair enough. I’ll go get our drinks. What would you like?”
“An Americano.”
“Got it.”
Despite the high number of people the queue wasn’t very long. Jeongguk got to order fairly quickly, going off to the side to wait for his order. From his place by the counter he could see Yoongi, now with his phone in hand. Yoongi had recently let his usually dyed hair go back to black. Jeongguk thought it suited him. Not that that was surprising; it seemed as if Yoongi looked good with any hair colour. But somehow he looked even better with black hair. It was his natural hair, after all.
Jeongguk always waited to drink hot beverages, his sensitive tongue otherwise burnt for days, but Yoongi didn’t seem to have any such qualms. He took a long gulp as soon as Jeongguk handed him his coffee, sighing appreciatively. “I needed this,” he said. “College does that to you.”
Jeongguk just smiled awkwardly, not having any experience with college himself. Yoongi, being 21, was in his second year of college, but Jeongguk was only 17 and had one and a half years left of high school. Jeongguk thought high school was bad enough, but he had never really felt the urge to drink coffee before. Maybe Yoongi was right in drinking the strong drink. Jeongguk should give it a go at some point.
Jeongguk brought his green tea to his lips, blowing at the liquid through the small hole in the lid. The hot steam seeped through the cup to his frozen fingers, bringing them back to life with a jolt. His hands circled the cup tighter, desperately seeking the warmth.
When Yoongi looked up from his precious coffee with a serious expression, Jeongguk heart skipped a beat. He had been hoping he could avoid this moment a little while longer.
“So,” Yoongi started. “Hoseok said you wanted to ask for a favour.” Hoseok was a common friend of theirs, a year below Yoongi in college and Jimin’s – one of Jeongguk’s closest friends – dance trainer.
Jeongguk licked his chapped lips, willing his tea to cool down faster. “How do I start… Do you know Lee Jieun?”
Yoongi’s brows furrowed, obviously not expecting that. (What exactly he was expecting, Jeongguk had no idea). “There’s a Lee Jieun in a few of my classes, if I remember correctly.”
Jeongguk nodded. Yoongi was a music major, so was Jieun, and seeing as they went to the same college, it only made sense if they had classes together.
“Well… I may have a crush on her,” Jeongguk admitted, a blush coming to his face. He felt childish putting it like that, but he didn’t know how else to phrase it.
Yoongi lifted a brow, an expression on his face that Jeongguk didn’t know him well enough to decipher. “Do you want me to introduce you two? Because to be honest, I only really know her by name.”
Jeongguk shook his head. “No no, she knows who I am. She works at the library at my high school. I see her often after school. ”
At Yoongi’s expectant gaze, Jeongguk took a deep breath. “She has been working at the library for a while. I recognized her the first time I saw her, because I’m a fan of her music; she posts cover songs on Youtube under the name IU. She’s really nice when you loan books, always helps you when she can. And… I know that her being nice to me doesn’t mean she’s interested, but I figured… I guess I could give it a shot, you know? So I asked her out,” Jeongguk blushed even harder at the mention of the horrifying event.
He had asked her in the library (luckily not very many people were present that day), trying to look cool but failing spectacularly. She had looked at him with pity, expression almost sad as she turned him down. ‘I really like you. You’re a great kid, but… no. Sorry’ had been her exact words. He had smiled, as natural as he could, his eyes stinging as he fled out of there. He didn’t want the older man to know that, however, so he just said: “She turned me down.”
Jeongguk cleared his throat. “The thing is, I’ve asked people about her. Apparently she has a bit of a reputation. All the guys she’s ever dated, has either been rumoured to be gay or come out after dating her. Evidently, she’s only interested in gay guys. And that’s where you come in.”
“Oh?” Yoongi asked, obviously not getting it. The expressions on his face ranged from slight amusement to confusion.
“I want you to pretend to be my boyfriend so that she’ll like me,” Jeongguk said with a certainty and confidence he didn’t feel.
Yoongi looked at him, for a long while, his face now void of emotions. “Are you aware of what you just said? Because it makes absolutely no sense.”
Jeongguk was well aware of what he was saying, and how it must sound, but he didn’t know what else to do. If he couldn’t get to spend time with her, how would she ever fall for him for being himself? This was the only thing he could think of. Her interest would be piqued – for some reason – and maybe she would ask him out. Then she could get to know the real Jeongguk, and maybe she would like him. It was worth a shot, right?
“I just… I don’t know. I thought it might work. Like, if she thinks that I’m gay, she might be interested in me. Or something. And I know that you’re bisexual-“
“And?”
“Well, I figured that would make it more believable.”
“So you’re using me?”
“No! I mean- Well…”
Yoongi snorted. “And what exactly would I get out of this whole ordeal?”
Jeongguk shrank mentally at Yoongi’s choice of words, but he didn’t show it, instead opting for a more flirty smile. “You get to hang out with me.”
Yoongi didn’t look impressed. Jeongguk’s smile fell. If he was being honest, he hadn’t thought that far ahead. He hadn’t imagined that Yoongi would even consider his proposition. “Um,” he pondered. “What do you want from me?”
“How about…” Yoongi let his eyes wander over Jeongguk’s form with an almost predatory smirk that made Jeongguk stomach drop, the implication not lost on Jeongguk, before Yoongi met Jeongguk’s gaze again. “…you sing for me.”
“What?” he asked, proud of himself for not squeaking the question.
“I’m producing a song currently. I think your voice would sound good.”
Jeongguk bit his lip thoughtfully. He had never recorded himself singing before, only sung to himself when in the shower or in front of his teacher when he took singing lessons. “How do you even know I can sing?”
“Hoseok told me he overheard you singing in the shower once. You took lessons, right? And you have a melodious voice. I can imagine you being a good singer.”
Even though Jeongguk was shy about it, he knew there were definitely worse things Yoongi could have asked for in return. “Okay, I will sing for you.” Yoongi smiled victoriously. “And I promise it won’t be that bad to go on dates with me. I mean, this is almost like a date, isn’t it? And it’s not bad. Aside from the noise,” Jeongguk said, pointing loosely at the people surrounding them.
“If this was a date I would pay for you,” Yoongi said. “But you’re right. This isn’t all bad.”
Yoongi finished his drink a lot sooner than Jeongguk, reclining in his seat. He was watching Jeongguk as he took gulps of his now lukewarm tea.
“Don’t you care about other people thinking that you’re gay?” asked Yoongi.
“No? Why would I?”
Yoongi shrugged. “Most people would.”

The first ‘date’ that Jeongguk and Yoongi went on took place the following Wednesday after school. Yoongi had the day off, but Jeongguk arrived at their meeting point – the library at Jeongguk’s school – before Yoongi anyway. There weren’t very many people, as per usual, and the only noises being made were occasional quiet chatter and squeaky shoes.
Yoongi and Jeongguk had agreed on the library both because Jieun would be there, and because they both had schoolwork to do for school. They were going to ease into the ‘relationship’ slowly, just being seen together a few times, to make it more natural. It was also a chance to get to know each other better, become more comfortable with the other’s presence. They weren’t really friends, mostly just having hung out together due to knowing Hoseok. Jeongguk actually didn’t know that much about Yoongi, other than his name, his major, the fact that he liked strong coffee, Tarantino movies and sleep, and then a bit of other trivia most people new.
Jeongguk had chosen a table from where the front desk – Jieun, to be precise – was in view, but not close enough to be within hearing distance. He could see her turn on the computer, patiently waiting. It was obvious that Jieun was pretty, but that wasn’t why he liked her. He admired her a lot. She had a beautiful voice, she wrote her own lyrics and produced her own music. She was very talented, and kind, and didn’t seem to care too much about other people’s opinion of her. Jeongguk aspired to be like Jieun.
Yoongi and Jeongguk got to work almost immediately after Yoongi arrived. Jeongguk got a lot done fast, faster than he would have if he had been on his own. Jeongguk actually enjoyed doing homework in other people’s presence, especially if it was with people like Yoongi who actually got something done; it helped him focus. They worked in silence, a communal feeling between them. Jeongguk didn’t know what Yoongi was doing, but Jeongguk himself was stressing over a math rapport.
“Do you know how to solve this?” Jeongguk murmured.
Yoongi’s attention shifted to Jeongguk’s computer screen, brows again attractively furrowed in concentration. “Jeongguk-ah, that’s not even a very difficult question.”
Jeongguk pouted. “Just tell me the answer.”
Yoongi showed Jeongguk how to solve the not-so-difficult-my-ass question, apparently still good at math despite not having used it for quite some time. When Jeongguk glanced back up at the counter after finally understanding what to do, Jeongguk noticed that another person had entered the library. The person headed straight for the counter, with their side to Jeongguk. Jeongguk was certain he had never seen them before, but Jieun’s face split into a giant grin as she caught side of the other. The newcomer went behind the desk and greeted Jieun with a tight hug. It was the first time Jeongguk had seen Jieun with anyone while she was working her shift at the library.
“Yoongi, do you know who that is?” Jeongguk whispered, forcing Yoongi’s to look away from his tablet once again. Yoongi’s gaze went in the same direction as Jeongguk’s, and he pursed his lips.
“Yes, I’m pretty sure that that is Choi Jinri. She goes to my college. She’s in Hoseok’s year. I didn’t know they were friends.”
“Me neither. I’ve never seen her before. They look close.”
“Looks like you don’t know Jieun as well as you thought you did,” Yoongi teased.
Jeongguk ignored Yoongi’s comment, going back to his rapport, but he kept sending not-so-subtle glances Jieun and Jinri’s way. As Jeongguk had pointed out, they did look close. They were chatting, even though Jieun was supposed to manage the computer, laughing together about something Jeongguk couldn’t make out. For some reason he was intrigued; he wanted to know how well they knew each other, and when this change came about.

Jeongguk met up with Yoongi at the college next day. He had promised to start recording as soon as possible, because it might take a while to get it right and Yoongi only had two more weeks to finish the song. Yoongi had given him the lyrics beforehand for Jeongguk to practice, and Jeongguk was pretty sure he got it down. He was still nervous, more so than he had been the last few times they met up, but he swallowed the feeling down.
Jeongguk didn’t have access to that part of the campus – there was a lot expensive equipment – so Yoongi came out to lock him in. Yoongi himself had access to the college’s studios whenever, so that he could work on school projects as well as his own. He spent a lot of his time there – worryingly much sometimes, Jeongguk had gathered from Hoseok – and had arrived a few hours earlier to work.
Jeongguk was jumping from one leg to another in an attempt to get warm when Yoongi finally opened the door for him. Jeongguk thanked him and followed him down the hall to a small, dark-lit room with a lot of high tech equipment Jeongguk had never seen before.
“Do you know the lyrics?” Yoongi inquired as he got everything ready for Jeongguk to sing in a room attached to the one they were in.
“Yes.”
“Good, good.”
Yoongi showed Jeongguk where he had to sing, and how close he had to stand to the microphone, before going back to the studio. Jeongguk could feel Yoongi’s intense gaze on him through the glass, but he kept his own on the microphone in front of him, mentally preparing himself.
He closed his eyes as he began to sing, putting emotions into the song, into every word that crossed his lips. He knew the song by heart, having practiced it so much, and it flew easily out of his mouth. Jeongguk knew he didn’t do perfectly, his voice was a bit shaky in the beginning, his voice cracked a few times, and there were undoubtedly parts Yoongi completely wanted to change. But all things considered, Jeongguk didn’t think he did too bad for his first time.
When Jeongguk finally raised his eyes to Yoongi, Yoongi was nodding to himself with an unreadable expression. Jeongguk got some of the nerves back, taking off the headphones and going to the door.
“How was it?”
Yoongi hummed. “Not bad. I know it can be a bit nerve-wrecking the first time, but I like your voice. I can definitely work with this.”
They spent the next few hours recording, Yoongi continuously correcting Jeongguk, but always praising him right after. Jeongguk’s voice was hoarse, but Yoongi kept recording despite his protests. In the end Jeongguk had to step his foot down, he was hungry, and he knew Yoongi was too. Yoongi lived on campus in a dorm room, and he invited Jeongguk for a late, home-cooked dinner. Jeongguk had already notified his parents that he would be home late and easily agreed.
Yoongi made pork-based ramen for the both of them. Jeongguk helped to the best of his ability, but he didn’t cook often. Cooking the ramen didn’t take long, Yoongi having all the ingredients at the ready. Again they worked in companionable silence, aside from an occasional ‘hand me the noodles’ or other. But they didn’t always need words. When Yoongi wanted something from a drawer Jeongguk was standing in front of, he just gently put his hand on Jeongguk’s hip, silently signaling for him to move.
Yoongi was humming as he looked after the meal cooking on the stove and Jeongguk was leaning against the counter beside him. They didn’t speak, they just shared smiles as the smell of food spread in the small apartment. They were both tired from working all day, and Jeongguk preferred not to talk after hours of singing.
When they finally got around to eating, Yoongi did the majority of the talking. Jeongguk wolfed down his food, and every now and then stopped to laugh at one of Yoongi’s jokes. If Jeongguk was being honest the jokes weren’t really that funny, some of them weren’t funny at all. Jeongguk felt fonder at Yoongi’s attempts at jokes than genuinely amused, but the pleased look on Yoongi’s face every time Jeongguk laughed was worth it.

Their second date took place Saturday morning at a café-slash-bakery Jeongguk knew Jieun frequented (he knew this because he’d met her there a few times while picking up baked good for his mom, not because he was stalking her). Jeongguk luckily arrived before Jieun did and hoped that it made it look less suspicious. The café wasn’t busy anymore, the early morning rush already having died down.
This café was a lot quieter than the one by the college. Jeongguk could understand why Jieun went there to do her assignments, sipping at her frappuccino and taking small bites of her bagel. Jieun arrived not long after Jeongguk, taking a seat in a comfortable looking sofa with green upholstery. She sat elegantly, with one leg crossed over the other and her skirt – Jeongguk wasn’t jealous, despite her nylons it must be freezing – folded stylishly around her thighs.
Jeongguk kept glancing at the door in anticipation of Yoongi’s arrival. When the doorbell chimed his head shot up, greeting him with a big smile. He only got a mediocre one in return, one Jeongguk could tell was fake. It made Jeongguk frown worriedly, but Yoongi didn’t act as if anything was out of the ordinary. He didn’t sit down, just placed his things by the table. “What do you want?” He motioned his head towards the counter.
“Uhm. A scone? And… I think I’ll have an Americano.”
That at least brought a genuine smile to Yoongi’s face. “Good choice. I’ll be right back.”
Jeongguk slumped in his chair as he waited. When the doorbell chimed again his eyes lazily lifted to the door, noticing a somewhat-familiar person stepping into the café. It was Jinri. Jieun waved as she spotted her as well, patting the empty space beside her on the couch.
Yoongi came back with their order then, placing it carefully on the table. Jeongguk knew Yoongi had big hands, but he was still impressed that he was able to carry all of it.
Jeongguk started looking for his purse. “How much?”
“What do you mean? I’m paying.”
Jeongguk stopped in his search, looking up at Yoongi surprised. “You don’t have to pay for me, hyung.” He flushed when he realized that he had called the other ‘hyung’, but Yoongi didn’t even blink.
“Well, this has to be believable, doesn’t it?” His voice was light, but Jeongguk thought he could detect a hint of… bitterness? Then he continued, tone back to normal: “Besides, I am your hyung.”
Jeongguk didn’t drink the Americano immediately, but he did get a whiff of the strong smell. Maybe he should have gone with his usual green tea instead. Yoongi hadn’t bought any food for himself, opting on drinking his coffee. Again Jeongguk could see the look of pleasure and contentment cross his features. Jeongguk took a bite of his scone to hide a smile.
“Jinri, I’m trying to work!” Jeongguk could suddenly hear Jieun say, loud enough to be carried through the café. Although her words were mean, her voice was full of laughter, and Jeongguk could see her playfully push Jinri’s wandering hands away. The loud words had caught Yoongi’s attention as well. Yoongi lifted a brow with an expression on his face Jeongguk had learned to read as amusement, the small quirk of his mouth giving it away. “They’re being very friendly. Are you sure you have a chance with her?” Jeongguk glared good-naturedly.
Halfway finished with his scone Jeongguk finally got the courage to taste his ordered drink. It was still a bit too warm, and the taste was strong, causing his face to distort in displeasure. Yoongi snorted amusedly at his expression. “You’ll get used to it.” Jeongguk was glad he had his scone to remove the unpleasant taste.
Behind Yoongi he could still see Jinri and Jieun, sitting very close. Jieun was seemingly focused on her assignment, but Jeongguk could tell she was only pretending. Her lips were pursed a bit, maybe to keep them from splitting into a smile, and her eyes kept darting to Jinri. Jinri was looking at her, a fond expression on her face, fingers gently pushing hair behind her ear, the other hand placed on her thigh. Jieun didn’t seem to mind despite her protests.
Jeongguk had to agree with Yoongi; they were being very friendly.
Yoongi taking Jeongguk hand dragged his attention away from the two girls. Jeongguk looked down at their hands, his own lying loosely on the table, Yoongi’s hand folded over his fingers. His hand warm against Jeongguk’s cold one, a bit bigger than Jeongguk’s, paler and bonier. Jeongguk couldn’t take his eyes off of them, amazed at the subtle differences. Yoongi had nice hands.
Jeongguk pulled himself together, smiling shakily at Yoongi. Yoongi didn’t let go of his hand, just raised his cup to his lips and drank. Jeongguk went back to eating as well, the task made more difficult now, but he didn’t really mind. Jeongguk thought they must really look like a couple; two people on each side of a table in a cozy café, holding hands and sharing a meal. He wasn’t sure how that made him feel.
“Di you finish your rapport on time?” Yoongi asked.
“Yes.” Jeongguk didn’t mention that after their meeting he had procrastinated in finishing the rapport, turning it in last minute. “What about you? Do you think you will finish your song on time?”
“Even if I have to stay up all night, I will.” Jeongguk listened to the rest of Yoongi’s response, but he was slightly distracted by Yoongi’s thumb, caressing the palm of his hand. His skin felt extra sensitive under the touch. “I think one more recording session will be enough. Your voice really fit the song. Thank you.”
Jeongguk smiled shyly. “You’re welcome.”
They continued talking for another hour. They avoided the topic school afterwards, instead sharing funny stories about Hoseok and their other friends, discussing the use and misuse of umbrellas (they saw someone pass the café with one through the window, and Yoongi told him he could never figure out how to open ‘those damn things’) and shared interests such as music and interior design. Jeongguk was completely engrossed in the conversation, so much so, that Yoongi had to be the one to tell him that Jieun and Jinri left.
“What?” Jeongguk asked confused.
“They left. Jinri and Jieun.”
Upon further inspection Jeongguk could conclude that Yoongi was right. “Oh. They did.” He hadn’t noticed at all; he had been too focused on Yoongi.
Yoongi cleared his throat. “I have to go too. I’m meeting up with Namjoon in an hour.”
“Oh. Okay. I’ll see you.”
“Yeah.”
The last sip of the coffee was just as bitter as the first.
-
“Where are we having our next fake date?” Yoongi asked in between recordings a few days later. Jeongguk didn’t like the way Yoongi phrased his sentence, but he wasn’t aware of why.
“How about I come pick you up after school tomorrow?”
“Hm, that’s actually a good idea. I have my last lecture with Jieun.”
“I can greet you in a kiss?” Jeongguk asked, trying to appear neutral, as if his heart didn’t skip a beat.
Yoongi didn’t look very fond of the idea, going a bit stiff at Jeongguk’s words.
“I mean, only if you don’t mind-“
“No, it’s fine. Sure. That will get the point across.”
-
Jeongguk did have access to the many buildings where lectures took place at the college – everyone did. But finding his way to the room in which Yoongi was in wasn’t a piece of cake, as it turned out. The campus was huge, and all the buildings looked alike. There were maps scattered around, and somewhat-hidden numbers on each building, but Jeongguk was terrible at reading maps. In the end, to make it on time, he had to ask to people for help, despite his efforts to avoid it.
There were a few other students outside the room, maybe waiting to get in, most of them on their phone. One of them was bouncing their foot up and down, the heel of their boot causing an echo throughout the hallway. No-one told them off. Jeongguk could hear the murmur of the lecturer’s voice through the door, not loud enough for him to make out the exact words.
Jeongguk had arrived five minutes before the class was due to end, but ten minutes later the doors hadn’t opened yet. He was reminded of one of the teachers he had, who was always so engrossed in their own monologue that they forgot about the time, the students glancing at each other in order to find out whether they should tell the teacher that the class ended already.
Jeongguk was leaning against a wall, but when the doors opened he stood upright. The college students started milling out of the room, the first ones obviously busy, some alone and others in the midst of conversation. Yoongi came out alone, gaze wandering around the hallway before stopping on Jeongguk. He approached Jeongguk slowly, tentatively, and Jeongguk wondered if he should even do it at all. But then Yoongi came closer and he liked his lips, and, well. Jeongguk kissed him.
Jeongguk inhaled deeply through his nose. It was just a gentle kiss, a greeting as the ones you see couples share all the time, maybe lasting a bit longer. It was a bit awkward at first, both of them tense, but then Jeongguk moved his lips just so, and then it was as if they melted against each other. He pulled Yoongi closer by the waist, somewhat aware enough of other people’s presence to keep it p/g.
Jeongguk had kissed plenty of girls, but it had never felt like this. It was just a sweet, innocent kiss in a hallway full of people, but even then, it made him feel more than any full-on make-out session he’d ever had. He realized then and there that he liked Yoongi. Not in a you’re-a-really-cool-dude-let’s-be-friends kind of way, but in a i-would-like-to-hold-your-hand-forever kind of way. Since entering the hallway he hadn’t even looked for Jieun, too focused on Yoongi the whole time – the whole day, week, even.
The more Jeongguk got to know Yoongi, the more he realized that Yoongi had in common with Jieun so many of the things that Jeongguk admired about her – Yoongi, too, wrote his own lyrics, produced his own music, was talented and kind, and didn’t seem to care too much about other people’s opinion of him – at least not the people who didn’t matter. But contrary to Jieun, Jeongguk knew Yoongi personally; he could decipher the emotions on his face, he knew what made him laugh, what made him tick, he had spend hours upon hours with him doing next to nothing and would love to it again.
Jeongguk felt something for Yoongi he’d never really felt with Jieun; whenever he saw Yoongi he got happy. He wanted to make him smile and laughed at his jokes even if they weren’t funny. He had an urge to touch Yoongi for no reason, like holding his hand or putting his head on his shoulder.
Jeongguk realized that what he felt for Jieun was admiration, and nothing more; he didn’t really want to be in a relationship with her. He did want to get to know her, talk to her – he did look up to her after all, she was like an idol to him – but that was it. He’d read his feelings as romantic because she was a girl, Jeongguk supposed. Even though he was well aware that lots of people experienced same-sex attraction, and never thought that there was anything wrong with that, he’d never really considered that he himself did. Maybe because everyone else around him assumed that he wouldn’t – his whole life he’d always been asked about girls, so was it really surprising that he himself had assumed that he would grow up to like girls?
Yoongi pulled away from the kiss and met Jeongguk’s eyes with his. He seemed to be scanning Jeongguk’s face for his emotions intensely. “Jeongguk, are you sure you’re only doing this to get Jieun’s attention?” His words were calculated; it was an important question, tone almost vulnerable.
“No,” Jeongguk breathed. “Actually, I don’t think I really care that much about Jieun.”
“Good,” Yoongi said before he pulled him back down for another kiss.
-
It turned out that Jieun was actually dating Jinri and had been for a few months. (Jieun hadn’t really been dating all those guys she’d been going out with; they were her friends and she’d gone out with them because they weren’t ready to come out. She would have never been in interested in Jeongguk no matter what he did). Jeongguk continued to admire the woman, but he now knew he didn’t have feelings for her.
Jeongguk started dating Yoongi after he told him about his feelings. Yoongi admitted that he had had feelings for Jeongguk for a while too, and agreeing to the whole charade had been in hopes that Jeongguk would fall for Yoongi and forget about Jieun.
In conclusion: Yoongi’s plan worked perfectly. Jeongguk’s plan went to shreds, but he couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.
