You are my rock, my sounding board, and the greatest father to our children

Summary:

Tim being the absolute best dad and the absolute softest to their three daughters 🩷 (he can’t seem to say no easily)

Notes:

I got a request to write Tim as a girl dad and it is super fluffy and sweet. I loved writing this 🩷

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Daddy.” Tim turns around to see his two older daughters running towards him. Lana is five, Aubrey is two and Chloe is six months old. Tim kneels down and opens his arms for his girls, except for Chloe who is in her car seat.

“Did you have fun with nana?” He gives them both a kiss and stands up with them in his arms. Luna had been kind enough to watch them for the morning because he was called into a few last minute meetings. He is now the Lieutenant, on the fast track to becoming Captain. Lucy is the Watch Commander and has done an incredible job.

“We had so much fun daddy!” Lana squeals. Luna and Wade adore these girls.

“Thank you for watching them at the last minute.” Tim is thankful she understands.

Luna smiles at him. “I love having them. We’d like to take them for a sleepover Saturday. I think you and Lucy deserve a night off.”

“Are you sure?” He asks.

She gives him a look and Tim throws his hands up. “Wade has plans for himself, Lana and Aubrey. Chloe and I will have some quality time together.” They both laugh. “And you deserve a break. You haven’t had much since Chloe was born.”

“Thank you, Luna.” The three of them hug her goodbye. Lucy isn’t at the station so Tim gathers his things and they head to his truck.

“Daddy.” Lana is grinning at him and he knows he’s about to be suckered into something. Lucy always teased him about how soft he was for girls, all three of them.

“Yes baby?” He buckles Aubrey into her car seat and then helps Lana. He had already put Chloe’s seat in.

“Can we have a daddy and daughter day?” She is grinning and he knows that can’t say no. He adores these girls.

Tim taps his chin and Lana gives him her most Lucy look. “Of course we can.” He smiles. “And we can do something nice for your mama too.”

Lana giggles. “Duhh daddy. We always need to do that.” Tim shakes his head and goes to the driver's side.

“What do you want to do?” Tim is almost afraid to ask.

Lana claps her hands. “Okay, well, we are hungry.” It is just about lunch time so that’s doable. “I think we should play dress up, but we need new dresses and tiaras and heels!”

“Hmm, that sounds good.” Tim can see how excited she is.

“And makeup daddy.” He wants to groan but doesn’t. It makes her happy. “And we can play with dolls. We can get mommy stuff at the store too!”

“We can go after lunch. It’s a rainy day and perfect to stay inside. Just don’t put makeup on Kojo this time.”

Lana giggles to herself. “Just his puppy princess crown.” Kojo always puts up with their antics and it’s quite humorous to watch. He will do anything to protect those girls.

Tim pulls into McDonald’s, knowing that Lana and Aubrey will be able to run some energy off. He places Chloe into the baby carrier and they all walk inside. Tim places his order and when the food is ready, they go to the play area.

After about forty five minutes, they head out to the store. It’s just after twelve thirty now. Aubrey sits in the shopping cart and Chloe is in the carrier attached to Tim. She’s wide awake, surprisingly, looking at everything around her.

“Daddy, can we go to the toys?” Lana smiles at him. That’s where the dress up clothes are.

“We can for now but I want to get your mama a few things before we leave.” Lucy is definitely going to tease him for being suckered into buying them more dress up clothes.

As soon as they get to the toys, Aubrey reaches for Tim to get out. They see a whole chest of jewelry and dresses. It’s actually a great deal and comes with everything they could ever want including multiple tiaras. “This one daddy, please.” Lana smiles at him.

He places it in the cart and the girls are already looking at everything else. “You can’t buy the whole store.”

“We know daddy.” Lana grabs Aubrey’s hand and they walk to the next aisle. Something catches her eye and she squeals. “Look daddy!” Lana found the ‘pretty pretty princess’ board game.

“This is perfect, Lana.” Tim knows that it will be money well spent. “We can get that and you can each get one more thing.”

Lana grabs her kid makeup and Aubrey grabs a baby doll, of course. It comes with a few outfits at least. He even grabs a few new teething toys for Chloe. “Let’s go find some stuff for mama.”

Both girls help with that and are excited to spoil their mom. Tim grabs everything to make ice cream sundaes as well, both girls clapping with excitement. By the time they get home, it’s just past two. Chloe is asleep and Aubrey needs her afternoon nap. “I’m going to put your sisters down for a nap and we can clean up Lana, before we play.”

“Okay daddy.” He lays Chloe in her crib, with Kojo laying by her side. Aubrey’s eyes are closed as soon as she is laying on the pillow.

Tim walks downstairs and smiles when he sees Lana picking up. “I am your big helper daddy.”

“You absolutely are my big helper. You’re the best big sister too baby.” It’s hard to believe that their first baby is already five. She looks exactly like him but he sees so much of Lucy in her too. He kisses the top of her head and helps to finish a few things. He tries to keep the house as clean as possible, wanting Lucy to relax as much as much as she can after work. They are the best team, truly. After starting the dishwasher, Tim grins at Lana. “Okay, we are done.” It only took about thirty minutes. “Since your sisters are asleep, why don’t we go dance in the rain?”

This has become a tradition for the two of them and Lana nods her head enthusiastically. Tim picks her up and they go outside to dance. It’s one of his favorite bonding moments with her. “I love dancing with you daddy.” His heart feels so happy and he still can’t believe this is their life. Lucy has given him the greatest gifts including herself. She is pure sunshine and has brought the light back to him.

“And I love dancing with you, Lana. I know it’s hard with your sisters but I promise I will always make time to spend some time alone with each of you.” Lana lays her head on Tim’s shoulder.

“It’s okay daddy. I love Aubrey and Chloe. It’s fun when we are all together. I just miss mama.” She is truly one of the sweetest souls. Aubrey is much more extroverted than her sister and he adores seeing their personalities come to life.

“I miss your mama too. You are a special girl Lana and I love you so much.” Tim spins them around and her laugh is contagious.

“I love you daddy!” She gets down and runs around with Tim in the rain.

They go back inside about twenty minutes later and put some warm, comfortable clothes on. Tim starts a load of laundry and puts their wet clothes in there as well.

Just after three thirty, both Aubrey and Chloe are awake. “It’s princess time.” Tim smirks and decides that it will be a pizza and wings night along with a movie for dinner.

“What’s first Lana?” Aubrey grabs a crown and puts it on her head. Then she grabs a set of bead necklaces and a crown for Tim.

“Pretty dada.” Aubrey grins and Lana giggles. Chloe is in the little bouncer seat, hitting the toys that are attached. She is right next to Tim and cooing.

“Even Chloe agrees that you’re pretty.” Tim shakes his head and Lana pulls the game out. Even though the jewelry is too small, he still manages to ‘wear’ it.

“You won daddy!” Lana does her best Lucy glare, but it doesn’t work.

“You look so much prettier than I do, Lana. Why don’t you and your sister try on your dresses and do a fashion show?” Tim asks her.

Lana claps. “Okay daddy. You have to stay just like that.” Her hands are on her hips.

“Yes my queen.” He says with an accent making the girls giggle. Lana and Aubrey take turns modeling both their dresses and their shoes.

“I like the pink dress the best.” Tim tells Lana. “And Aubrey the purple one.” They both high five and then run to grab the makeup.

“It’s time for your makeover daddy.” They both climb onto the couch and sit in his lap. Aubrey tries to paint his nails (it’s not actual nail polish) but Lana has her makeup. She starts with blush and eyeshadow. The girls are giggling and Chloe starts to laugh right alongside her sisters.

“You think it’s funny, huh?” He tickles them.

“You are the prettiest princess of all, daddy.” Lana finishes with lipstick, just in time for Lucy to come home. They don’t see her at first. She’s standing by the door, her heart so full, and stifling a laugh when she sees her husband’s face. “Perfect daddy.”

Lucy makes herself known. “Wow Lana, daddy looks so pretty.” The girls run to their mom and jump into her arms. Tim grabs Chloe who grabs at the fake jewelry he has on. “And you two look so beautiful.”

Lana and Aubrey each bow and then grin at each other. “We are all so pretty.”

Lucy chuckles and takes Chloe into her arms. “Why don’t you go clean your stuff up and get changed into something more comfortable girls?” Tim looks at them. “And we will eat dinner in the living room and watch a princess movie.” They both cheer.

Aubrey and Lana grab their stuff quickly, and run upstairs to get cleaned up.

Lucy wraps her arms around Tim. “You look pretty hot.” Tim smirks. “I think that I like the lipstick best.”

Tim goes red. “It matches my eyes.” He quips back and Lucy giggles. He puts Chloe into her pack and play. “I missed you.” He kisses her and she melts into his arms. “Go get comfortable. I have pizza and wings being delivered.”

“You’re the best.” She mumbles into another kiss and smacks his butt on the way out. Tim gets cleaned up, but forgets the tiara on his head.

During the movie, Lana and Aubrey are laying with their stuffed animals and blankets on the floor. Chloe is asleep against Lucy. “You’re truly the best dad.”

Tim looks down at her. “You’re the most incredible mom, Luce.” He moves her hair behind her ears and kisses her.

“We could always try for a boy.” Tim chuckles. He’s happy with their life and if they did have another baby, he’d be happy either way.

“I’m happy with what we have. You four are my entire world and I wouldn’t change it.” Lucy feels emotional. “Plus, being a girl dad is the best part of my day. I think I like the tiaras the best.” He winks and pulls Lucy closer to him.

“You’re amazing babe.” She murmurs. “And you’re the biggest softy.” Tim wears that proudly and doesn’t even argue. “But you can’t keep letting them convince you to buy them new dresses.” Tim shrugs, knowing he always will. Their life was pretty wonderful.
