Chapter Text
The filming of their new serie Last Twilight strated a couple days ago, this few days were filled with laughter and good atmosphere. P'Aof clapped his hands with satisfacion and decided to call it a day. "Good job everyone. Tomorrow's set is at the Khao Khuha mountain. All of you get some well-deserved rest" After that film crew started packing up the equipment. Sea stood up from the chair he was occupying for the last fifthin minutes and let out a big weary yawn that made his eyes water. Even though he loved his work including the long working hours and filming outside the studio with no air condicioning he still was more than happy when at the end of the day he could go home and relax. On some days he and Jimmy would go togheter for late dinner or they would hang out at one of theirs condo, drink couple of beers and call it a night. Howewer with the long shoot the following day he knew that wouldn't be the case tonight. He walked over to where his Hia was wiping of his make up
"Oh Nong Sea." He greets him with a quick glance and goes back to cleaning his face.
"Hia, I'm heading home so i came to say goodbye" The younger man smiled softly.
"Do you want me to pick you up in the morning?" He threw the wipes to the bin and looked at his Nong.
"If you can yes, that would be great. Thank you Hia." With that they exchenged their last goodbye's and walked of to their rides. On the way home Sea was thinking about how gratefull he is to have such a carring and loving costar like Hia Jim. This is their second serie togheter and with each day they spend together their bond is geting stronger. Despite the late hour streets of Bangkok were still pretty busy. Young actor staretd bopping his head to the music while waiting for the light to turn green when a loud honk made him look into to the dash mirror. There was a car going from a distance and from what it look like i didin't seem to slow down. With two cars form oposite sides of him and the cars in front of him going horizontally there wasn't a way for him to move away. He started to unbuckle himself from the seat belt to get out of the car before the inpact but the second honk made him look behind him and he realized the car was already behind him. He closed his eyes and with that second he heard a loud crash. The force of the impact caused his entire body to slam into the seat, then propelled him forward, causing his head to strike the steering wheel. His car moved forward, causing the car approaching from the right to hit the front of his vehicle; fortunately, it didn't hit the door, but this caused his head to suffer another impact, this time against the windshield. For a moment everything around felt peacfull but that didin't last long, His ears started to ring, head pounding with pain and His chest felt to tight to breath freely. Despite the ringing in his ears, Sea could hear the commotion outside his car, people shouting, cars honking. Sea squeezed his eyes in pain. Although he was glad to still be conscious, the unrelenting pain made a small part of his subconscious wish he could pass out right then. He sat up and unbuckled his seatbelt, which he hadn't managed to do earlier. Once again, luck was on his side, and with slow, deliberate movements, he opened the door ;which, fortunately, hadn't been damaged in the crash. He stepped out of the car. He didn't know how long he been sitting in the car after the crash, but he could hear the sirens of an approaching ambulance in the distance. As soon as he got to his feet, several people ran up to him, all shouting over one another; no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make out a single word.
"Im okay" he said, hoping that the people around him would stop talking to him, since their loud voices weren't helping his headache. He definitly wasn't okey but he really needed them to be quiet. One of them helped him sit up, leaning him against the side of the car, for which he was immensely grateful; getting out of the car hadn't been his best idea, but in his defense in this condition, he wasn't the best person to make decisions. The sirens grew louder, and a few minutes later two paramedics rushed over. Without a word, they examined his head, put a neck brace on him, helped him onto a stretcher, and carried him to the ambulance. On the way to the hospital, he began to feel tired, and his eyelids grew heavy with each passing minute.
"Khun, you can't fall asleep yet" The paramedic spoke to him, while patting him gently on the shoulder. Sea couldn't tell if the ride had lasted a few minutes or an hour, but while the paramedics were examining him, he fought off sleep. The ambulance pulled up in front of the hospital building, and the doors opened again; two nurses helped the paramedics lift him out of the vehicle. The view of the ambulance ceiling changed to a dark sky, then changed again, this time to the white ceiling of the hospital. Inside, two doctors joined the nurses, and took him to the emergency room. While the doctors were examining him, he decided he couldn't fight the fatigue any longer and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep. This prompted the doctors to act quickly; while one of them checked to see if he could be woken up, the other instructed a nurse to contact the police to get in touch with the young actor's family, while simultaneously instructing another to prepare him for a CT scan.
At the same time, there was still a lot of commotion at the scene of the accident; three police cars and a TV crew had arrived. All of the injured were taken to the hospital, and two police officers were currently interviewing witnesses while the rest secured the area.
"Could you tell me what did you see" The officer asked, holding a notepad and a pen in his hand.
"I'm not sure exactly how it happened. I was stopped at a traffic light next to that young man's car when suddenly another car behind us rear-ended him, pushing him forward, which caused a car coming from the other direction to hit him in the hood."
"Could you tell me anything else?"
"From what I saw, it doesn't look to me like the driver who hit him even tried to brake."
"Okay, thanks for your help." The officer jotted down the latest details in his notebook and walked over to his colleague, who was currently standing next to the actor's car.
"Did you found something"
"Yeah i have his phone and ID. His name is Tawinan Anukoolprasert 25 years old." After inspecting the accident scene and documenting the evidence, the tow truck began to tow away the damaged vehicles. Meanwhile, other police officers currently at the hospital spoke with doctors about the condition of the person responsible for the accident. However, the speed and force of the impact were too great, so the man is now in critical condition with little chance of survival.
Jimmy was sitting on a couch in His condo looking at unseen messege He send to His Nong "Did you get home safely?" While waiting for a reply, he decided to turn on the TV. He flipped through the channels and settled on the news. "Breaking news: Three passenger cars collided at the Asoke-Petchaburi intersection. Witnesses report that a speeding BMW rear-ended a car stopped at a traffic light, causing it to collide with a third vehicle. All of the injured were taken to a nearby hospital. At this time, we have no information on the condition of the injured. " The camera shifted from the reporter to the scene unfolding in the background: fire trucks, police cars, and people gathered around the crime scene. Jimmy felt a chill and decided to call his younger co-star; after a few rings, voicemail kicked in. It was nothing new that, without contact from Sea He would get worried the older man was usually worried whenever the younger actor was out of his sight. Jimmy decided to try calling a few more times, but each time he got the same voicemail message. Trying to calm his panic, he figured Sea must have fallen asleep as soon as he got home, which was why he wasn’t answering his calls. Taking a deep breath, he decided to turn off the TV and go to bed himself. They’d see each other tomorrow morning anyway when he's going to pick him up from his condo. In the morning, the sound of the alarm woke him up. Jimmy stretched all his limbs at once, yawning loudly; for a moment, dark spots appeared before his eyes. While leaning on his arm, he reached for the phone lying on the nightstand next to the bed. 7 AM, and still no reply from Sea. That uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach returned—it wasn’t like Sea to not reply to his messages. He sent him one more message and decided to get ready for a long day on set. After a quick shower and his skincare routine, he put on a dark T-shirt and plain jeans. While making coffee, he decided to call P'Aof—maybe he knew something about why he couldn't get in touch with the younger actor. After a few rings older man picked up.
"P'Aof did maybe Sea called You this morning?"
"No. Did something happened?"
"I just can't get in touch with him so i guess i got a little worried." He explained. After few minute talk they said they goodbyes and Jimmy decided to just go to the younger condo like promised. The trip took a while because of the traffic jams in downtown Bangkok. Once he arrived at the building where the Sea condo was located, he made another call just in case, but when there still was no answer, the older man decided to just go in, maybe the younger guy had forgotten to plug in his phone, which is why he didn’t hear it ringing. Jimmy knocked on the door and waited a moment; when he didn’t get a response, he knocked again. After waiting 15 minutes, he decided to go downstairs to security to ask if the guard had seen Sea come back or leave the building. Which he really hoped so. The Old seciurity guy called his coworker, who had been on duty the day before, and according to him, the actor hadn’t come home that night. This made his anxiety grow more and more intense. Jimmy stand there for a secend thinking what to do when he suddenly remembered the news about yesterday's accident; the time matched the time Sea should have been on his way home. He tried not to panic—that could be just a coincidence. He had no choice but to go to the film set and wait for any news. The whole way there, he wondered what could be the reason for younger strange absence. To be honest he wanted to call his co-stars parent but he didn't think that was his place, of course they were friends but it still felt not right besides if something happend somone would call to inform the directors. With that in his mind he focused all his attention on the road. Once he arrived, he looked around the set, hoping to spot the younger actor somewhere, but unfortunately he didn't. He sat down in one of the chairs and began reviewing the script for today's scenes.
"Nong Jim, did you manage to get in touch with Nong Sea? He’s still not on set." He was snapped out of his reverie by the sound of P'Aof's voice.
"No, We were suposed to get here thogeter, but he wasn't picking up his phone and seciurty at his condo said he didn't come home last night. P'Aof are you sure He didn't call you?" As soon as he said those words, the older man’s phone lit up and the younger actor’s name appeared on the screen. Jimmy felt as if a weight had been lifted from his heart, but that feeling didn’t last long. A woman’s voice spoke on the other end; Jimmy couldn’t quite make out the meaning of her words, but judging by the older man’s expression, it couldn’t be anything good. Not wanting to assume the worst, the actor eagerly awaited the end of the conversation. After the call ended, the Director stood in silence for a moment, then said something that brought all of Jimmy’s anxiety and stress flooding back in an instant.
"Nong Sea had an accident yesterday." All the color drained from the actor's face; his breath caught in his throat. "Before You panic, He's in stable condition"
"Which Hospital?" "Bangkok Hospital" That was all he needed to hear; without another word, Jimmy got up from his chair and headed for his car. He had to make sure for himself that his younger partner wasn’t in a life-threatening situation.
